This group inline skating class is designed for beginners and early-level skaters who want to build confidence, improve balance, and master essential skating skills in a fun and supportive environment. Kassy was a professional ice skater with Disney on Ice and has been skating since she was 2 years old. We’ll focus on the fundamentals that make skating feel smooth and controlled, including proper stance, weight distribution, and balance while moving. You’ll learn how to start, glide, turn, and stop safely, along with simple drills to improve coordination and stability on your skates. The class progresses at a comfortable pace, with clear demonstrations and individual feedback to help each participant feel steady and confident. Whether you’re brand new to rollerblading or returning after a break, this session will help you develop strong basics and feel more in control on wheels. Classes are predominantly held in English, though Kassy speaks French and Spanish too. We will meet at Moll de Bosch i Alsina, on the pavement beneath the red bridge (Puente móvil rojo). No advanced experience required - please bring your own skates. Aprenderás a arrancar, deslizarte, girar y frenar con seguridad, además de ejercicios sencillos para mejorar la coordinación y la estabilidad sobre los patines. La clase progresa a un ritmo cómodo, con demostraciones claras y retroalimentación individual para que cada participante se sienta estable y seguro. Tanto si eres nuevo en el patinaje como si regresas después de un descanso, esta sesión te ayudará a desarrollar bases sólidas y a sentirte más en control sobre ruedas. Las clases se imparten predominantemente en inglés, aunque Kassy también habla francés y español. Nos encontraremos en el Moll de Bosch i Alsina, en la acera bajo el Puente móvil rojo. Buenas! (English below) Cada día aparecen formas nuevas de aprender español, (y otros idiomas) apps nuevas, métodos de gramática, IA, videos de profes explicando cosas, y están todas genial. Si te ayudan a entender más y a hablar mejor están genial. El plan de este grupo es mejorar tu español con juegos, actividades reales y ejercicios para hablar más. Con la excusa de los juegos y las actividades corregimos la mayoría de errores: Palabras difíciles, confundir pasados, preposiciones, verbos que significan muchas cosas, ser y estar en pasado, frases con dos verbos o mas, subjuntivo, expresiones coloquiales, y también los errores "culturales”: ¿De que forma usamos los españoles el idioma en diferentes situaciones? La gente que participa es (casi siempre) muy simpática, y normalmente deja reviews muy positivas de las clases. Si te cuadra el plan ven a practicar tu español y hablamos de comida, de viajes, de trabajo, de cultura, de Internet, de temas locales, de noticias y de muchas más cosas. Para participar hay una contribución de solo 10€ por persona/ clase de 2 horas (materiales incluidos, bebidas no incluidas) o de 30€ por 4 clases. Vente y hablamos. Rafa. \-\-\-\- Hi! Every day there are new ways to learn Spanish, (or any language) new apps, grammar methods, AI, teachers explaining things on videos, and they are all great. If they help you to understand more and to speak better, they are great. The main plan in this group is to improve your Spanish with games, real activities and exercises to speak more. All the games and activities are a good excuse to correct the most difficult/ frequent mistakes: Difficult words, confusing past tenses, prepositions, verbs that mean many things, ser and estar in the past, sentences with two or more verbs, subjuntive, colloquial expressions, and also “cultural" mistakes: How we, Spanish people, use the language in different situations? People participating are (almost always) very nice, and usually leave very positive reviews of the classes. If the plan fits you, come to practice your Spanish and we'll talk about food, travel, work, culture, Internet, local issues, business, news and many more things. Que vous souhaitiez ,pratiquer l'espagnol comme le français, vous pouvez inviter vos amis à vous accompagner. L'événement commence à 19h30 et se termine vers 22h30, mais n'hésitez pas à vous joindre ou à quitter pendant l'événement car nous ne sommes pas strictement ponctuels. Le plus important est d'apprendre la langue de chacun, de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, de se faire de bons amis, d'approfondir la communication et de s'amuser !😉 \*Veuillez noter que chaque personne doit commander au moins une boisson ou un aliment. Every day there are new ways to learn Spanish, (or any language) new apps, grammar methods, AI, teachers explaining things on videos, and they are all great. If they help you to understand more and to speak better, they are great. The main plan in this group is to improve your Spanish with games, real activities and exercises to speak more. All the games and activities are a good excuse to correct the most difficult/ frequent mistakes: Difficult words, confusing past tenses, prepositions, verbs that mean many things, ser and estar in the past, sentences with two or more verbs, subjuntive, colloquial expressions, and also “cultural" mistakes: How we, Spanish people, use the language in different situations? People participating are (almost always) very nice, and usually leave very positive reviews of the classes. This is one of our regularly occurring drop-in sessions. We need a minimum of 4 players for this event to occur. Curious about Dungeons & Dragons but never played before? Learn how to play classic Dungeons & Dragons with other newbies and go on perilous adventures in a dark fairytale world called Dolmenwood. This will be a beginner-oriented introductory session involving exploration, strange monsters, clever problem-solving, and some intrigue. You do not need to know the rules ahead of time and you do not need to bring anything, as I have dice, pencils, and premade character sheets for all players. Just show up, jump in, and see if it is your thing! This will be a one-off adventure, with potential to continue on if everyone is interested. Free Argentine Tango fundamentals classes weekly for OneLife McLean (Regency) members in McLean Virginia! Nonmembers may pay for the health club entrance at the door ($30) and use the club for the day, which includes the dance classes, use of the pool, weights, tennis, etc . . This series runs from 12 April through mid-June every Sunday 230-330. Following the tango class, there is a dance workout class from 330-430, also included. Come join us every Wednesday at 8 PM until sometime in April, 2026. This is a collection of short stories in English and French with questions at the end. Then share your ideas for immersing yourself in the French language whether it's listening to music, watching movies, taking a class, or whatever you do.
