Networking Meeting - Luxembourg Centre
The chapter meets periodically and brings together a carefully curated group of business owners, independent and liberal professionals, sole proprietors, self-employed individuals, traders, and craftsmen. Our objective goes beyond networking, as we will work to give back to the society.
To preserve the value of these groups, each chapter will have the policy of only one representative per profession. This ensures a non-competitive environment where members can openly support one another, exchange insights, and grow together. Additionally, an attendance policy will be in place to encourage commitment and continuity, ensuring that every member contributes and benefits the collective momentum of the group.
At this initial stage, all participation revenues will be donated to a non-profit organization called SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde, reinforcing our belief that successful businesses have a responsibility beyond themselves.
The meetings will be held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Members will be encouraged to purchase drinks from the venue as they will be hosting the place at no charge for the club.
**Agenda outline:**
• People registration and welcome (10 min)
• Introduction of the agenda (2 min)
• Individual presentation (2 min p/person)
• Speech of the day (5-10 minutes) – Given only by oficial members
• Referrals and testimonials (5-10 min)
• End of the session / Open Networking (10-20 min)
**Investment packages:**
3 months: EUR 59
Half year: EUR 99
Yearly: EUR 179
As places are strictly limited, we strongly encourage you to confirm your participation as soon as possible if you wish to join us. Non-members are welcome to participate twice without being official members, and all fees paid as visitor will be deducted in case of membership enrollment.
For membership instructions, please contact the event organizer.

How to build confidence in your website's sustainability credentials
The web is at the heart of our every day lives and we understand now it has enormous sustainability impacts. So what do we do as practitioners, teams and businesses building individual websites or apps? How do we have full confidence that our tech meets our sustainability claims?
Adam Newman, Co-founder of Root & Branch is going to address these questions, demystify vendor claims and add some clarity to what it means to build, host and manage a sustainable web estate.
Adam is the co-chair of the Green Software Foundation's "SCI for web" project, writing the spec for how to apply the latest ISO standard (ISO 21031:2024) to the web as well as the co-author of a paper on the energy and emissions measurement of websites and cloud applications. He is also a contributer to the W3C Web Sustainability Guidelines and a proud co-organiser of Green Software Brighton.
Check out the Green Software Brighton [website](https://greensoftwarebrighton.co.uk/) for links to previous talks.

Festrogen Festival 2026: Open Mic Comedy Night
Get ready to **laugh, cringe, and cheer** at the **Festrogen Festival Open Mic Comedy Night**, your chance to support local comedians trying out new jokes!
Whether they've been sharpening their jokes in our workshops or are a first-timer with a killer one-liner, this show has it all.
Happening just before the **Gala Show** and, who knows, it might just steal the show before the main event!
Let us know you're coming by **[booking your place here.](https://fienta.com/2026-open-mic-comedy)**
**🎭 What’s in store:**
* A **no-pressure, high-energy** space for comedians to try out new jokes or debut their stand-up persona.
* A lovely venue in the gorgeous basement of Le Croque Bedaine.
* The chance to **connect with comedians** and festival-goers.
**💸 Pay-What-You-Can:** The event is free, but we’ll pass around a collection at the end to support the comedy community and keep the laughs coming.
**Want to perform? Drop us a line to info@festrogenfestival.com**
This event is organised by [Festrogen Festival](https://festrogenfestival.com/), a platform that aims to inspire and support women in comedy while levelling the playing field for performers from under-represented groups.
The festival is organised with the support of the Luxembourg Culture Ministry.
Have specific needs or questions? We'd love to help make this place as welcoming as possible. Drop an email to [info@festrogenfestival.com](mailto:info@festrogenfestival.com) and tell us how we can do that.
The Tag Lab: Workshop your jokes with Erin Crouch
**You’re already getting up on stage. You’re writing. You’re performing. You’re grinding it out at mics.**
But if you’re honest… some of those jokes could hit harder.
Welcome to **The Tag Lab**, an accelerated, punch-up intensive designed specifically for comics who are past the “how do I hold a mic?” phase and ready to level up their material.
This workshop zeroes in on the two things that separate solid jokes from killer bits:
**1\. Finding the true kernel of your joke**
We’ll strip your material down to its comedic engine, the sharpest, funniest core idea, and rebuild from there.
**2\. Writing tags that stack laughs**
Because one punchline is nice.
Three punchlines? That’s applause breaks.
You’ll learn how to:
* Identify where your joke is ending too early
* Add tags that feel organic, not bolted on
* Heighten patterns without losing clarity
* Tighten wording so every syllable earns its place
This is not a beginner class. It’s for comics who are already performing regularly and want their existing material to punch above its weight.
Bring jokes that are “pretty good.”
Leave with jokes that consistently hit.
If you’re ready to stop hoping for laughs and start engineering them, this workshop is for you.
Participation is by advanced registration. Places are limited. [Book your spot here.](https://fienta.com/taglabfestrogen)

Tour of Brothers Drake Meadery and mead/tea tasting
Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads.
Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead.
Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun.
Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards.
Park anywhere around the building. Please avoid parking in front of the houses in the neighborhood behind the Meadery.
Please keep your RSVP current. Knowing how many will attend will help Brothers Drake plan accordingly to accommodate us.
Vibe Coding 101: How to Build with AI
Curious about “vibe coding” but not sure what it actually means? This beginner-friendly talk is about how people are using AI to build websites, apps, automations, and small software projects by describing what they want in plain English.
We’ll cover what vibe coding is, what AI is good at, where it falls short, and how to actually use it without getting lost. The goal is not to hype AI as magic — it’s to show how to use it as a practical tool.
This session is designed for beginners, curious builders, non-programmers, and developers who want a clearer picture of how to build with AI today.
Topics include:
* What “vibe coding” means
* What AI can help you build
* Where AI is useful and where it is unreliable
* A simple workflow for building with AI
* Prompting tips for better results
* Common beginner mistakes to avoid
If you’ve ever thought, “I have an idea, but I don’t know how to build it,” this talk is for you.
LOGISTICS AND PARKING:
The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks!
The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.

Bad Girls Book Club April 2026
**Our April novel is: *The Hong Kong Widow* by Kristen Loesch**
**This month’s novel blends gothic atmosphere with historical fiction and chilling horror, set against the haunting backdrop of China. The book is 368 pages in print and 10 hours and 42 minutes on audiobook.**
In 1950s Hong Kong, Mei is a young refugee of the Chinese Communist revolution struggling to put her past in Shanghai behind her. When she receives a shocking invitation—to take part in a competition in one of the city's most notorious haunted houses, pitting six spirit mediums against one another in a series of six séances over six nights, until a single winner emerges—she has every reason to refuse.
Except that the hostess, a former Shanghainese silent film star, is none other than the wife of the man who once destroyed Mei’s entire life.
It is promised the winner will receive a fortune, but there is only one prize Mei wants: revenge.
Decades later, the final night of that competition has become an infamous urban legend: The police were called to the scene of a brutal massacre but found no evidence, dismissing it as a collective hallucination. Mei knows what she saw, but now someone else is convinced they know what she did. She must uncover the truth about the last night she ever spent in that house—even if the ghosts of her past are waiting for her there. . . .
