Dancing, Brunch and Conversation - "Daybreaker" at Abbotsford Convent
### Meet time
**7:30am sharp â Meet outside Abbotsford Convent**
Weâll have around **15 minutes together *outside* (in front of BIKE SHED) before the event**, which is perfect for a **quick round of friendly introductions** and settling in as a group before heading into "Daybreaker".
### Daybreaker
**8:00am â 10:00am**
Weâll attend "**Daybreaker"** together â an alcohol-free morning dance experience designed to energise your body and mind and start the day feeling alive and present.
"Daybreaker" tickets are booked separately and can be purchased here:
No dance experience needed. Come as you are.
### Brunch + deeper conversation
After "Daybreaker" (10am), weâll meet outside the BIKE SHED again, then head out for **brunch together** (optional but encouraged).
Depending on the group and availability, we may:
* Walk straight into the **Collingwood Childrenâs Farm CafĂŠ**, or
* Take a longer walk to a nearby venue such as **Three Bags Full**, **Camâs Kiosk**, or **Jinda Thai**
Weâll decide together on the day.
This is where thereâs space to slow down and deepen conversations. After moving together, itâs often easier to connect and talk about:
* Your experience of Daybreaker
* Dance, music, art, or creativity
* Food, wellbeing, and living healthy
* Life in Melbourne and upcoming events
As with other **Good Conversations Club** events, youâre welcome to arrive exactly as you are.
Thereâs **no pressure to perform or talk constantly**.
Iâll have **conversation prompts available** that youâre welcome to use if youâd like â or not at all. Theyâre simply there to support ease, connection, and better conversations if you want them.
Brunch is where conversations naturally deepen and flow more easily.
### Who this event is for
This event tends to attract people who are **young at heart**, open-minded, and curious about life.
Thereâs no strict age range â youâll likely meet people across different ages who:
* Enjoy movement, music, and shared experiences
* Value meaningful conversation over small talk
* Are open, respectful, and socially aware
If youâre comfortable in mixed-age groups and enjoy connecting beyond labels, youâll likely feel at home.
### Important notes
* Weâll keep pre-event conversation light due to time
* Deeper conversations happen after Daybreaker over brunch
* "Daybreaker" tickets are purchased individually
* Brunch is pay-your-own
This event is about sharing an experience first, then enjoying meaningful, nourishing conversation afterwards.
**Movement first. Conversation after. Connection naturally.**
NOTE: For "Daybreaker"
### **Come ready to dance.**
### **Wear something that lets you move freely.**
### **Bring a water bottle and an open heart.**
### **Leave the rest at the door.**
### **Weâll see you on the dance floor.**
### **Door open at 7:40am**

Conversations with the School of Life cards

This is a casual, social and fun event where we share our thoughts and experiences with a group.
We can cover topics like: Personality & Emotions, Work & Money, Family & Friendship, Travel, Culture & Taste, depending on the questions that end up being asked on the day.

CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
I love my job and one of the main things I do is help customers get going with any of the data technologies at Microsoft. Right now there are a lot of my customers asking about Microsoft Fabric. It's hard to weave across all the shiny new options across the Fabric landscape, let alone figure out where it fits into your organization. In this session we'll focus on answering one question - how can I get data into Fabric? We'll talk through the "it depends" options and see some of the options in live demos.
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Compensation Data
**People Analytics 101: Making Sense of Compensation Data**
Compensation data is one of the most widely used and widely misunderstood forms of people analytics.
The session will cover where compensation data comes from, including market pricing data, internal payroll data, and benchmarking sources, and how companies think about structuring and analyzing that information. We will explore how compensation data is leveraged to set salary ranges, manage internal equity, support hiring and retention, and align pay with business strategy. A portion of the session will address common data challenges and limitations, such as market noise, inconsistent job matching, and incomplete datasets, while keeping the primary focus on practical use rather than technical depth.
The session will also look ahead at where the space is going, including the growing impact of pay transparency laws, expanding pay equity requirements, and emerging regulations in the US and Europe that require organizations to report on gender and pay gaps. The goal is to give attendees a clear mental model for how compensation analytics works today and why getting it right is becoming increasingly critical.
(note: we are back at Rev1 this month!)

Anger and Resentment, How to Handle their Source and Live a Better Life
Wouldnât it be nice to find a way to overcome your feelings of anger so that you not only control them, but you no longer have the urge to lose your temper in the first place?
And how about being able to shake off resentments, persistent annoyance, or even feelings of vengeance?
Weâd like to invite you to an event on how to overcome anger and resentment. We will show you why people have trouble controlling their temper and where resentment comes from.
Flaring anger can ruin a meeting, a relationship, an opportunity, or just about any aspect of life. Worst of all, outbursts towards our family can create hurt that lingers throughout a lifetime.
You want to have a civil conversation, and youâve vowed that you wouldnât lose your temper, but a few minutes later, the anger flares up. Maybe youâve realized that being angry doesnât get you what you want so you internalize it. Or maybe you avoid the knockdown, drag-out fights, but stewing in resentment is exhausting and takes an emotional toll.
In this event we show you how to get to the root of your anger so that it stops being an issue to you. Youâll also learn why people harbor resentments and how to move on.
Don't continue to struggle, make a difference in your life, and join us for this local event.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to the event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This Meetup is sponsored by your local Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center.

Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply.
### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?**
Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being.
Whether youâre seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment.

## **The Ideal Group Leader**

* Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us.

### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based**
Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. Itâs a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission!
Every contribution helps us:
* **Cover Essential Costs** â Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization.
* **Grow Our Mission** â With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year.
By choosing to contribute, youâre not just leading an eventâyouâre helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic.
