How to… host an event
We’re getting more and more interest in how we create events, or partners looking to collaborate on events. In our (biased) opinion it’s because community events are a needed and growing space.
**What we’ll cover**
In this workshop, we’ll focus on a few key skills:
✅ How to create an event proposal
✅ How to determine an event budget
✅ How to engage collaborators
✅ How to pitch your event
✅ How to host an event in an inclusive way
**Who this event is for**
This event is for you if
✨ You’d like to start running events to promote your business
✨ You’d love to host a Girls Who Boss style event, charity fundraiser, or even just have more garden parties
✨ You’re a venue that would like to host its own friend-making or networking events
**An extra perk**
If you’d like it to be, this workshop can be more than just theoretical. Create an event that aligns with Girls Who Boss, and we’ll help make it happen!

Evergreen Games
'Evergreen Games' is back.
This one day event is to raise money for the Cure Brain Cancer foundation.
There will be open gaming space for everyone to come and play your favourite board games in, and we are planning other events to help raise money for charity, such as a raffle for some great games.
A suggested donation of $10 will be charged for entry (children free), after which you can come and go throughout the day.
For those new to modern board gaming, we will have volunteers ready to help select and teach new, interesting games from our extensive library of modern board games that will be available to play on the day.
The Clyde has a large room to accomodate around 100 people, and a fully-licensed bar and restaurant, so food and drink can be purchased during the day (please do not bring your own food or drink along).
Save the date, RSVP and please do spread the word - sharing this event or inviting others is a great way to let them know this is happening, and help make this event a huge success.
This annual convention has been established to commemorate the life of a dear friend and gamer Simon "Evergreen" Pearce who enjoyed and gave so much to the hobby, before being taken from all of us far too soon, and to raise money to help fight the cancer that took him from us.
Please note that if you are unable to make it down but would still like to make a donation the easiest way to do so is via the memorial page hosted by the charity at https://curebraincancer.org.au/fundraising/in-memory/in-memory-of-simon-pearce-5d15031c

Free in-person event: Take Control of Your Mental Health
It’s time to take control of your mental health. How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself.
Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went?
Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence?
Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, you’ll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp.
