You can text me and I can send you my location. • When is it? - Running intervals runs every Tuesday at 07:15am, Tuesday at 7.30pm (Glories), Wednesday at 8pm, and Thursday at 7pm. • Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 28 years. For 14 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon. Después de un breve calentamiento, unos salimos a correr y otros van a caminar. Todos, nos reunimos al final para charlar mientras algunos aprovechan de un buen chapuzón en el mar (opcional - traer bañador y toalla si os animáis). For those who are not in a hurry, we then go to have a coffee / breakfast close by. **#What level of running/walking is required?** None, it does not matter if what you like is walking, if you are a beginner runner or if you are a champion, you are welcome, and you won’t get lost. En esta sesión vamos a trabajar con mayor profundidad la Presencia con materiales como arcilla, colores, música, etc. Allí no aceleramos para buscar un resultado, sino para experimentar el proceso. ¿Cómo trabajamos la Presencia? Durante el taller, la creación con barro será también a la vez una práctica integrada de atención y presencia. If you would like to bring your own then that is welcomed otherwise the coach will have sufficient quantity for each participant. • What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen and condition the whole body. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals. • Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Barceloneta where our running classes take place. Como nueva actividad para nuestro grupo de MeetUp, proponemos cenas con diferentes cocinas del mundo, desde la cercana España hasta Europa y más allá. Para empezar, proponemos la cocina Indonesia del encantador restaurante Makan Makan. Para quienes quieran tomar algo antes, nos vemos en Bar Marsella (Sant Pau 65) a las 20:00 h, y de allí iremos a Makan Makan (Lluna 4) a las 21:30 h. Consideraciones prácticas: * Como reservaremos (14) plazas en el restaurante, es importante que **solo te apuntes si realmente vas a venir**. El último día para inscribirse es el 11 de febrero. * **Acordaremos con el restaurante** **un menú para compartir** (algunos entrantes y platos principales) para que todos podamos probar diferentes platos. **Si tienes alguna restricción alimentaria, por favor, infórmanos al inscribirte** (envía un mensaje a Jacques o deja un comentario en el evento). * **En cuanto a los gastos, los compartiremos**. Calculamos que la comida costará entre 25 y 30 euros. Before you attend your first class, you MUST fill out this par-q https://forms.gle/1zN6VvvzfVBiAekx6 • What is it? - This class is for all levels from novice to advanced runners, where we will train you to run fast. With a mix of faster paces and pushing for longer efforts, it will help you on your way to your next 5k and 10k PBs and give you some stamina for the half marathon and beyond. • Where is it? - We meet at the Simon Bolivar statue in Parque De La Barceloneta. Click on this link to see the location https://www.pbtraining.online/pbrunning/ • When is it? - Running intervals runs every Tuesday at 07:15am, Tuesday at 7.30pm (Glories), Wednesday at 8pm, and Thursday evening at 7pm. • Who runs it? - The Thursday class is led by Britta. Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
