📊 The level: We will train at the intermediate 1.5-2 levels, so several months of training are required to consistently control the ball at an Intermediate-High Intermediate Level. You should reliably be able to touch the ball 3 times and control where you want the ball to go on attacks.
🪙 The cost : The general rate for a class per person is 10€.
The languages spoken in the class are English, German, and Spanish.
⏳📏 The duration and structure: Every class lasts for 90 minutes, and is broken up into three main parts.
1\. Warm up\.
2\. Technique drills\.
3\. Fun play/games to put theory into practice\.
\*Note that there might be a chance to play longer if I don't have another class or free play with one of my groups.
The session will also include music for a more fun atmosphere. 🎶🥁
🤔💭 Do I need to attend every time? You should only attend the class when you would like to and there is no obligation. However if you commit to a session, we expect you to be there.
🥤🧴What do I need to bring to the training? Please come dressed in sports clothes, bring plenty of water, sunglasses, sunblock, and a towel for our sessions.
Please be on time, and bring adequate sport clothing and water.

📊 Nivel: Entrenaremos en el nivel intermedio 1.5-2, por lo que se requieren varios meses de entrenamiento para controlar el balón de forma consistente en un nivel intermedio-alto. Deberías poder tocar el balón tres veces con fiabilidad y controlar su dirección en los ataques.
🪙 Precio: La tarifa general de una clase por persona es de 10€.
Los idiomas que se hablan en la clase son inglés, alemán y español.
⏳📏 Duración y estructura: Cada clase tiene una duración de 90 minutos y se divide en tres partes principales:

Es una disciplina que nació en Brasil y que hoy en día se ha expandido por todo el mundo, destacando por su dinamismo, técnica y estilo espectacular.
Más allá de eso, el futevóley es creatividad, coordinación y conexión.
Las clases son dinámicas, divertidas y adaptadas para que cualquier persona, incluso sin experiencia, pueda empezar desde cero.
⚽ **Técnicas fundamentales**
Para jugar bien al futevóley, hay varias técnicas básicas que se deben dominar:
• **Control con el pie**: Es la base del juego, permite recibir y dirigir el balón con precisión.
• **Toque de pecho**: Muy importante para amortiguar balones y preparar jugadas.
• **Cabeceo**: Clave tanto en defensa como en ataque, especialmente cerca de la red.
• **Control con muslo**: Ayuda a mantener el balón en juego en situaciones difíciles.
• **Remate** (ataque): Movimientos acrobáticos como la chilena o la bicicleta son característicos del deporte.
• **Colocación**: El segundo toque que prepara el ataque, requiere precisión y visión de juego.

Junior High Performance Live Ball
High energy training session for competitive junior players focused on movement, reaction, and live point play.
These tennis clinics are run by a former European junior competitive player with over 10 years of coaching experience. Sessions are designed to be high-energy and fast paced, focusing on repetition, movement, and live ball situations that help players improve quickly.
This is a **paid clinic** and RSVP on Meetup does not guarantee a spot. Registration and confirmation from the host are required.

Energizing Walk for Busy People!
Join our weekly walking meetup to have fun, maintain a healthy lifestyle, meet new people, and enjoy nature! We meet Saturdays at 10am, by the bike racks and benches 150 feet in front of BUBBLES Hair Salon in Reston, leaving no later than 10:05.
Every week we'll walk the Green Trail to Lake Anne Plaza (\~1 mile), pause there for 5-10 minutes (water, bio, and from April-Nov a Farmer's Market), then circle the lake (2 miles) before returning to our starting point. It's roughly 3.5 miles and takes about an hour and a half.
Afterwards, some members will often head to a local restaurant to refuel and relax before tackling the rest of the day.
This event is open to all ages and fitness levels, and both friends and dogs are always welcome! We recommend dressing for the weather (umbrella, water bottle, snow shoes, hat, etc.) since we'll always walk, rain or shine.

Rock Ready HIIT Class
This 1 hour high intensity group training session will help you achieve your goals on the big wall. Expect many bodyweight exercises, unconventional methods of training, and some free weights and kettlebells.
50th One Day Hike (ODH)- 50km/32 miles
Four years ago, I did the 50km ODH as part of my 8 month training program for "Founder's Kili Climb for Veterans" on Mount Kilimamjaro, Tanzania. I successfully summited Uhuru Peak, elevation 19,341 ft in Aug 2022 :)! Last year, 5 walkers from our Walking group joined me.
I warmly invite you to join us on 50km/32 mile walk on the C&O canal from White Ferry, VA to Harper's Ferry, WV on Saturday, May 2, 2026

During your registration period, there will a “Register Now” button to click; until then, “Oops!” Event is "SOLD OUT" Plan to register as soon as regular registration opens.

ROUTE: For almost the entire hike, you will be going upstream on C&O Canal National Historical Park. The 50k route starts at Whites Ferry, MD and ends at Harper's Ferry, W. VA. At canal mile 60.6, there is a railroad bridge with an adjacent footbridge that crosses the Potomac River to Harper's Ferry, WV. We made it to this point by sunset. The final 1.5 miles is uphill to **High Street** (which becomes Washington Street) to the endpoint at the Bolivar Community Center on Panama Street.

Join us as we put our meditation skills to work and practice raising our vibration to connect with Spirit for messages of love, guidance, healing, and inspiration! Bring your journals and your open crown, third eye, and heart chakras and give it a try! After the meditation, we'll share and discuss what we experienced. This process is designed to exercise your meditation skills and to learn from each other.
Having a difficult time meditating on your own? Many people find that it's much easier to do in a group setting.
