The Best of Rioja Wine Tasting with Tim Atkin MW with Discounted Tickets
The Best of Rioja Wine Tasting with Tim Atkin MW with Discounted Tickets
A very special tasting showcasing the top wines from Rioja based on Tim Atkin MW's globally respected annual Special Rioja Report. As one of the world's leading experts on Spanish wines, each year Tim produces an annual Special Rioja Report highlighting the best producers from the region. Based on his report, this special tasting will showcase wines from bodegas he has selected to appear in his list of 'First, Second and Third Growths' as well as a group of producers he has highlighted as 'Rising Stars'. As Tim says *''Bringing Rioja’s best wineries together in a single room in London is always a highlight of my year. The event will provide a unique overview of what’s happening in the region. It will feature traditional and modern producers, single vineyard wines and pan-regional blends, different sub-regions and villages and the full line-up of Rioja’s 14 grape varieties. The best news of all is that many of the winemakers will be there in person pouring their wines. So brush up your Spanish, or Spanglish to prepare for this unique tasting.*' **There will be hundreds of wines on tasting and many of the producers will be in attendance. \*SCROLL TO THE END TO SEE THE LIST OF PRODUCERS CONFIRMED SO FAR\*** **This is a walk-round tasting which will last from 5.30 to 8.30** and you can get there at any time, but don't delay if you want to taste as many wines as possible! The Lost World of Orchards, Gardens and Art Deco factories
Boston Manor House, photo © Copyright [Stefan Czapski](https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/19114 "View profile") My number is 07815009191. MEET: No. 6 Coffee, 6 Boston Parade, Boston Road, Hanwell W7 2DG. Join me on this walk mostly through green spaces: through Boston Manor Park, along the Grand Union Canal and through the once thriving site of Brentford Dock. We'll even take in an orchard, as we discover the history of Brentford. The town was once the centre of the fruit and veg garden of England with its thousands of acres of market gardens and orchards, the site of two major battles, the place to live with its grand 18th century houses and the 'Golden Mile' of art deco factories. We'll enjoy all this and see the site of probably the greatest crime against heritage of the 20th century. The cost is £12, either cash on the day or to my account sort code 090128 acct number 75471878.

Celebrate National Chip and Dip Day!
Celebrate National Chip and Dip Day!
***Okay, call me crazy but you have got to try their chip n dip!*** Club 85 is a true hidden gem in German Village! Seriously, old school, good comfort food and drink. We will try to gather in spaces near the windows. While we'll share Chip n Dip, you'll want to order a sandwich, too. **Where the Chip Began (1817)** Potato chips can be traced back to an English chef, William Kitchiner, who includes ‘crisps’ in his bestselling cookbook, “The Cook’s Oracle.” **Chip and Dip Popularity** The popularity of chip and dip skyrockets at the end of World War II with new entertainment fads and the introduction of Lipton’s new advertising campaign for their famous French Onion Dip. (Club 185 doesn't openly admit it, but I'm pretty sure that's their dip recipe!) **[Club 185](http://club185.com/)**—a true neighborhood bar serving since 1954, when it was known as a local 'speak-easy'. Located in German Village, Club 185 features a menu of quality casual comfort food and full bar. From politicians to lawyers, hardhats to hipsters—all find Club 185 the perfect place to tame their hunger and quench their thirst! **PARKING**: I know, brick street parallel parking can be a pain. Two other choices, metered parking along Livingston heading towards Children's Hospital or across the street in the large church lot (park in spaces farthest away from the church entrance doors, closer to the street). **PRE-EVENT**: **HAPPY HOUR (3-5pm)**: Italian drinks and bites at [Cento's happy hour](https://centogermanvillage.com/menus/), nearby.
