FLow - vocal soundbath and breathwork meditation + freestyle vocal session
🕢 Doors open at 18:30 and sessions start at 19:00. Freestyle vocal workout at and play session. €8-20 😌 Flow is a state of being… an experience when you allow yourself to be 100% fully engaged in the present moment in a feedback loop between clarity and satisfaction. It is an undeniable sensation where things seem to be more effortless, pleasurable, in sync, and you can easily sense a connection with something greater than yourself; this is what we will create…: • a connected and mindful meditation where it is possible to blissfully surf the cutting edge of the present moment together… • a game where it’s possible to feel excited and calm in the same moment, and everyone can win as much as they like… Scott Bolden, founder of Das Baumhaus Berlin will share some very easy, practical and effective methods developed during the last 12 years of facilitating the “Improvisational Groove Orchestra” (I.G.O.) improv vocal jam sessions. Within 20 minutes participants learn to use the common sound space to create resonance in the form of improvisational music where it is quite common to experience some real flow moments… It is very easy to participate, no musical talent or training is required so anyone is welcome to join. All of the session is done with eyes closed to avoid visual distractions and keep focus on the co-created sound space. During these sessions we will also have short breaks for feedback and refreshment. Important – Please be on time. It is very important to understand the methodology and warm up in the group before joining in! 🎤 @21:00 - Freestyle vocal workshop and practice session. €8-15 Have you ever wanted to learn how to do freestyle vocalizations? Episode 3 of the 2026 Edition - The longest Kotlin night of the year
Episode 3 of the 2026 Edition - The longest Kotlin night of the year
The longest day of the year is comming and let's another Kotlin meetup. This time we geather at N26! **⚠️⚠️⚠️ Due to a venue policy please submit the following form for additional details. Without it, you won't be allowed inside the venue:** https://forms.gle/XjqVXkD3FARCM6jA8 **Line-Up:** 👉 **TestBalloon: Kotlin testing is easier (and more fun) than you think** *by Oliver Okrongli* You want an easier way to write tests? Parameterize tests in plain Kotlin? Reuse a series of tests? Easily extend own your test setup? Have first-class support on all platforms? All without struggling with a huge framework API? TestBalloon is a new test framework that brings the power of Kotlin to your test setup. With a small-surface API, a hierarchical test structure and an extensible DSL, TestBalloon makes Kotlin testing easy, even at scale. Oliver, the author of TestBalloon, will show testing patterns and strategies and lots of practical examples, ranging from simple unit tests with less boilerplate to advanced testing with coroutines and generated data. This talk is based on insights first presented at KotlinConf 2026 in Munich. At the end of this talk, you’ll be able to firmly the answer the question: "How can I master Kotlin testing with ease, and make my team release with joy and confidence, every time?" 👉 **One Topic to Rule 'Em All** *by Yonatan Karp-Rudin* Kafka delivered every event exactly once, in order, and lost nothing. So what broke? This talk follows that question into the gap most event-driven systems leave open: what actually guarantees the order your domain depends on, and what quietly doesn't. We start from a real log line, find the crack in an architecture that looks clean and ships fast, and rule out the fix everyone reaches for first. The cure turns out to be one sentence of domain thinking plus one line of config, though the Schema Registry will fight you on the way there. A live demo runs the bug and the fix back to back: same load, same hero, one change. If you build with Kafka, you have probably shipped a version of this bug. You will leave able to spot it and fix it before it pages someone. 👉 **TBD** **Speaker Bios:** 🗣 Oliver Okrongli Oliver has been shaping and creating software from backend to frontends. He is the author of TestBalloon, a next-generation Kotlin test framework. Before, he has helped to maintain Kotest, and contributed to several libraries of the Kotlin ecosystem as well as the Kotlin compiler. Can be found on GitHub (OliverO2) and the kotlinlang Slack (Oliver O). When not developing, he is most probably in deep talks, dancing, snowboarding or F18 catamaran sailing whenever he gets a chance. 🗣 Yonatan Karp-Rudin Yonatan Karp-Rudin is a Staff Engineer at Billie, building event-driven systems in Kotlin and Spring Boot. Off the clock, he plays with AI agents and builds random tooling, trying to hand off as much of his own workflow to a machine as he can. The rest of the time he's brewing mead or deep in a video game. **🗣 TBD**
Let’s Play Backgammon! - Play, Socialize & Have Fun
Let’s Play Backgammon! - Play, Socialize & Have Fun
Join our Backgammon Meetup to play, socialize, and enjoy this classic game! Everyone’s welcome! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. Expect fun, friendly games, laughter, and new friends. With the nice weather and the beautiful lakeside setting, it’s a perfect place to enjoy a few games and spend time together. Hopefully we can make the most of a sunny summer afternoon! ☀️🎲⛲️🍻🌳 👉 Please RSVP only if you plan to attend. 👉 Bring your own set if you have one. **How to Play (Quick Guide):** - Each player has 15 checkers and moves them toward their home board. - Dice rolls decide how many spaces you can move. - Land on an opponent’s single checker to send it to the bar. - Once all your checkers are home, start bearing off (removing them). - First to remove all checkers wins! **Fun Fact:** The Origin of Backgammon: Backgammon is one of the oldest known board games, with roots deeply embedded in the ancient civilisations of Mesopotamia. But it is in Persia, where the game truly flourished and evolved into what we now know as 'Takhte Nard'. Archaeological findings suggest that early forms of backgammon were played in Iran over 5,000 years ago. Artifacts such as game boards and dice have been discovered in sites like 'Shahr-e Sukhteh' (The Burnt City), indicating the game’s ancient origins.

Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations.
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus.
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn.
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play.
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders…
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords…
IMPORTANT:
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for.
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
