Creative Code Stammtisch
**ā DOORS OPEN AT 19:30. PLEASE ARRIVE BEFORE 8PM! ā**
The Creative Code Stammtisch is a casual show-and-tell for artists, makers, designers, coders, performers, learners and anyone interested in the use of computing skills for artistic expression.
The event is free and open to all, regardless of age, origin, gender or experience. Beginners and first-timers should feel especially welcome! You don't have to be a coder yourself š
HOW TO FIND US?
Find Prachtsaal Studio by crossing the courtyard next to Cafe Augusta on Jonasstr. 22, 12053 Berlin.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
We start with quick introductions, then open the floor to anyone who wants to present something. There are usually around six 10-minute slots available, plus time for questions from the audience. First-timers are encouraged to share their work.
Topics range from net art to computational design and interactive installations all the way to wearable electronics or generative poetry. If youāre wondering whether your own project might fit, take a look at the [Stammtisch archive](https://creativecodeberlin.github.io/Stammtisch/) to see what others have shared in the past.
This event is *not* just for coders! New-media artists and anyone working with technology in their art are very welcome to share. If you enjoy art and/or technology, youāll likely have a great time, and maybe even learn something new!
BEGINNERS WELCOME!
If youāre new to creative coding, you can find beginner-friendly resources at [creativecode.berlin/learn](https://creativecode.berlin/learn).
THIS IS YOUR SPACE
We do our best to create a welcoming environment for all people regardless of race, ethnicity, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or genetics. People from group generally underrepresented in open-source, art, and technology fields are warmly encouraged to come by. And if you know someone who might enjoy this meetup but isnāt sure itās for them, let them know theyāll be welcome!

Sacrower Lake, Heilandskirche, and ferry (perhaps cafƩ and swimming)
Because 1st May - International Workersā Day and holiday - is likely to draw crowds to Grunewald - especially with the excellent weather forecast - weāll head to a quieter nearby forest instead. Weāll meet at the Wannsee ferry terminal (near Wannsee S-Bahn station) and take the ferry to Alt-Kladow. The ferry ride is covered by a standard BVG ticket (Zone B). Departure is at 11:00 am (the next ferry leaves an hour later), so please allow about 10 minutes to walk from the S-Bahn station to the terminal.
From Alt-Kladow, weāll follow this Komoot route: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/1585149981 . Our first break will likely be fairly soon at Schloss Sacrow, where thereās a simple cafĆ© - hopefully open - and public toilets. Iāll bring a frisbee. If needed, we can take another break later at Sacrower See - especially if anyone feels like going for a swim.
If you need to contact other participants during the hike (for example, to find out where to meet us if you are running late), please use the Signal group link that I will send to all participants via private message three hours before the hike. This timing is intended to prevent non-participants from misusing the link for unwanted advertising, which has happened in the past. Signal allows us to share our locations during the hike without involuntarily forwarding this information to the intelligence services of authoritarian or non-authoritarian states, but unfortunately the location sharing function does not include tracking, i.e. no continuous updates.
For all other purposes, especially socialising and posting photos, please use the Telegram subgroup 'Event Chat & Photos': https://t.me/addlist/KAOk2PA4BDE0ZTY8 .
The hike will take place if at least 6 people sign up. As long as there are more than 6 people, you can sign up and cancel as many times as you like. If there are 6 or less people, please avoid cancelling, as this might make the other participants feel insecure about whether the hike will take place (or whether there is something wrong with the hike and they should cancel as well --> Matthew effect - Wikipedia). If there are less than 6 participants, the hike will also take place unless the majority of the participants are in favor of canceling the hike.

Mantra Concert by Sri & Band
Get ready to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of mantras with Sri & Band, where music and spirituality meet in perfect harmony.
This Mantra session uses the power of supportive words to redesign the architecture of your mind, let go of limiting beliefs about yourself, and become aligned with your heart. When your inner critic is overreacting and you have lost touch with who you truly are, this chanting session will guide you back to yourself. With each mantra as your anchor, youāll plant new seeds in the garden of your mind, take agency of your internal world, and feel the immediate enlivening effects. You dont need previous experience in Singing/Chanting. You can listen to SriĀ“s music here https://shorturl.at/laIwU
Silent Reading Club
Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better!
It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading.
The usual agenda:
- Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes)
- ā Silent reading (~1 hour)
- ā Discussion (~30-40 minutes)
- ā Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like!
You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you!
No registration needed ā the event is donation based. All funds support the Offenes Wohnzimmer.
Let's Meet Up and Practice Languages
(Inside event) Are you learning a language but can't find people to practice with? Do you enjoy helping people speak your native language? If so, meet with us to make friends and have some good conversations.
We begin by sharing the languages we speak fluently and the ones we are learning. Then we split into groups and speak! You can switch groups as often as you'd like. The goal is to speak about interesting, thought-provoking topics - not just the typical introductions we usually make.
At our last meetups we spoke: German, Ukranian, English, French, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Turkish, Polish, Swedish, Arabic, Norwegian, Icelandic, and Dutch. Can you help us make this list bigger? We hope to see you there and welcome ANY and ALL languages. (However, we cannot guarantee we will have a speaking partner for all languages).
Looking forward to see you all! š

Your identity will remain confidential, your concern will be taken seriously, and no inappropriate behavior is tolerated ā anyone making others feel uncomfortable will be removed from the group immediately.
We hope to see you there. Bring yourself, your smile, drawing materials, your storiesāor just your comfy self.
Letās make Saturday a little more laid-back, a little more social and a lot more nice.

š Baumhaus - a valuable resource to preserve and grow
Since 2012 over 1300 people have enthusiastically invested their time, energy, and love into making the Baumhaus a reality. It has always been a place where we the people go to get inspired, directly and authentically connected, purposefully engaged, practically informed and personally transformed.
ā¤ļø Baumhaus has provided a unique and resonant atmosphere and intuitively understandable frameworks that facilitate meaningful and connective experiences. Our true solidarity with each other is that we are all working in our own ways to bring more dynamic regenerative balance into the world: personally, ecologically, aesthetically, culturally, economically and socially (p.e.a.c.e.s.).
