Ikigai
Ikigai
Ikigai is a Japanese concept meaning "a reason for being" or "a reason to wake up in the morning." It represents the intersection of what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for, promoting a life of purpose and daily fulfillment. What is your Ikigai? **ATTENDANCE POLICY:** To keep this group running smoothly and ensure that spots are available for those who genuinely want to attend, please RSVP only if you are confident you can make it. Waterfront Coastal Italian at Capitano DC!
Waterfront Coastal Italian at Capitano DC!
Join us to enjoy the new southern & coastal Italian Capitano DC inside the Canopy Hotel at the Wharf! Just opened on March 6, Capitano promises a seasonal, ingredient driven menu which will bring the warmth of Italy to your heart (perhaps don't mention that to your cardiologist)! Fresh out of the box - there are not a lot of reviews readily available... so here's a sneak [peek! ](https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=b2010e30be87c2d7&rlz=1C1MYPO_enUS1186US1186&sxsrf=ANbL-n7QF96KqINRyJzwSekLVm4IIhBMQw:1773939200381&udm=39&fbs=ADc_l-aN0CWEZBOHjofHoaMMDiKpmAsnXCN5UBx17opt8eaTX5MJRoosnbembaWTjeNSquJhopKzGFtXgl9coBQO6WPIzXQJ7xWrFSNJtPY_sN9P3Bp1JhQ8rhweG19BcJY7IX4dkk4-fK170qVf5whUF9Os5tDLUZoh7OWg-2aMM9vtkCP0U843gX20awUgkT5MJY8d_2jp7L7XBza0i01ayRbKIVkQ4A&q=capitano+dc+review&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwithJG_tqyTAxXwF1kFHTTzHI0Qs6gLegQIFBAB&cshid=1773939220667028&biw=1280&bih=551&dpr=1.5#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:29603d15,vid:ZPBrh9C_bhA,st:0) Let's check it out and see for ourselves! **Popville:** Capitano blends tradition with a touch of modern ease. It’s approachable, never fussy and where a plate of housemade pasta or the day’s crudo feels just as natural with a spritz at lunch as it does with a bottle of wine under the evening lights. The restaurant, which features open-air dining and views of the water (and maybe some cherry blossoms if we're lucky!), brings a fresh, approachable dining option to DC’s waterfront, as the concept takes over the restaurant space within the Canopy by Hilton at The Wharf. The interior is completely reimaged, with Capitano’s look and feel being inspired by the traditions, culture, and architecture of Southern Italy. Capitano’s bright colors and traditional textures of the Southern Italian region are infused with the modern forms and clean lines of more contemporary Italian furniture design. Floor-to-ceiling windows, weathered wood, ceramic tile accents and natural linens highlight the space. The result is a seamless journey that transports the guest from the hotel’s clean and refined public space to a quaint Italian Piazza. The Coast is calling - looking forward to sharing this experience with you! ***Check out the menus [here](https://www.capitanodc.com/menus/)*** We ask that ALL folks honor their RSVP. If you are unable to attend after sending in a YES, please update your status so that others may join. In the event our group incurs a fee for no-shows / late cancellations, your ability to RSVP for future events will be restricted. Thank you in advance for your understanding. **WAITLIST:** Meetup does not allow a waitlist for paid events. If this event fills and you are interested in adding your name to the waitlist, please send host a message through the app. In the future, we will vary the days of the week and the types of restaurants so that we can attract many different types of diners. Feel free to make suggestions for future meet locations. All diners will pay their own tab. before departing the event. If you are unable to join us in April we hope you'll stay interested and join us for a meal in the future. Looking forward to catching up with you for a fantastic dinner at Capitano!

Walk in Reflection Park with the Greenbelt Biota group
Walk in Reflection Park with the Greenbelt Biota group
I am excited to extend this invitation to my fellow Cemetery Walkers for this Greenbelt Biota Club event! Learn about local natural burial and meet some awesome nature nerds! Event details here, and I'll put them below: https://www.facebook.com/events/869422072586538/ "Reflection Park is on a 40-acre parcel of land, with a section dedicated to a multi-faith natural burial ground. The rest of the park is a wooded area with a trail. See [https://www.reflectionpark.org/](https://www.reflectionpark.org/) for more information about Reflection Park. Address: 16621 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20905 Google map location for directions: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/C7ShzCjGwymKK5Es7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/C7ShzCjGwymKK5Es7) We will meet at the end of the paved road in the park. Staff will give us an overview of natural burial and how Reflection Park works, as well as some of the things they are currently developing. Then we will walk in the woods and "botanize" as usual using the 1 mile trail. See [https://www.reflectionpark.org/](https://www.reflectionpark.org/) for more information about Reflection Park. \>\>Warning: No bathroom available on site yet \(the closest is at a nearby gas station\) \>\> Carpooling encouraged\. \>\> Usual protection for Maryland outings: You know the drill\. Water\, sunscreen\, tick protection should be on your mind\. \>\> Some of us will most likely bring snacks and sandwiches to eat on the way or at the end\. \>\>You can leave at anytime \(as long as you know how to find your way back to your car by yourself\)" Myrna's note: Apologies for the dormancy of the group over the past several months. Now that the weather is warming up, I hope to schedule approximately one cemetery walk per month as is customary. If any interest is shown for having a walk in March, I'm in!
AI Your Way: MCPs vs Skills vs SubAgents 🤖🚀 - Sam Basu
AI Your Way: MCPs vs Skills vs SubAgents 🤖🚀 - Sam Basu
SAM BASU IN-PERSON; NOTE: THIS IS THU, NOT TUE AS NORMAL Code is cheap, but software is expensive. Modern AI is a big opportunity to streamline and automate developer workflows for better productivity. There are some challenges though – AI Models often lack knowledge and AI Agents need expertise/guidance to reliably pull off complex workflows. Context is everything for modern AI and you can bring it. Model Context Protocol (MCP) aims to provide a standardized way to connect AI Agents to different data sources, tools and non-public information - the point is to provide deeply contextual information/expertise to AI. Skills are higher-level behaviors and instructional guardrails, that define how and when AI Agents should leverage tools to accomplish something meaningful. Subagents in AI are specialized, task-focused agents designed to handle specific, well-defined tasks within a larger AI system. In terms of the food industry: AI Agent = Chef 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 MCP Tools = Raw Ingredients 🥔 🥩 Skills = Recipe Cards 📝 📇 SubAgents = Sous Chef 🔪 🍳 Loops = Door Watcher 💂👀 Developer = Restaurant Owner 👑. So, what should developers use to bring context and guardrails to make AI work their way? Well, it depends and sometimes, the answer might be whatever combination makes developers most productive. With official SDKs and well-thought-out guidance, it is a breeze to work with MCPs, Skills or SubAgents. Developers could bring their own data, APIs, services, coding patterns and structured guidance to make AI Agents work their way. And AI Agentic workflows work the same way in IDEs or Terminals, paving the way autonomous ways of getting work done with AI. With contextual expertise to light up unique coding workflows, AI Agents can make developers ultra productive – upwards and onwards.

Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
**Connected Westerville Night of Networking** *April Edition: The Introduction Economy* You've been to the networking events. You've done the small talk. Collected the cards. Forgotten the names. And walked out feeling like you just wasted two hours of your life. The problem isn't you. It's the format. Most networking events put you in a room and tell you to figure it out. So everyone defaults to elevator pitches and business talk, and nothing real gets built. Here's the truth about networking that most people miss: Your network isn't just who you know. It's who thinks of you when they're talking to someone else. *That's* The Introduction Economy. And it only works when relationships are real. There's a reason people who come once keep coming back. It starts with seven minutes that feel nothing like networking. Then we open it up. Free networking. More conversations. More momentum. This is a room full of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and career builders in the Westerville and Columbus area. The mix is the magic. You might never do business with everyone you meet tonight. But someone in this room will think of *you.* **By name**. So, the next time someone needs exactly what you do, you get the recommendation. **April 14th. RSVP now.** **When:** Tuesday\, April 14th \| 6:15 PM \-\- 8:00 PM **Where:** Vineyard Community Center \| 6000 Cooper Rd\, Westerville\, OH 43081
Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
**The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception** Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory. For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy. She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization. In the last 12 years Condado has gone from one location in Columbus to 52 locations across 10 states, so we’re guessing there’s more to that growth than really good guac (though the guac probably helps). Ultimately, this talk focuses on the intersection of art and science—using data to inform creativity and build a brand that resonates with customers in a measurable way. **About Our Speaker** Sara Kear is Chief Marketing Officer at Condado Tacos, where she oversees brand, restaurant design, menu and pricing strategy, off-premise including catering, and customer data strategy. Since joining in 2021, she has helped grow the brand from 19 to 52 locations while building a data-driven marketing organization focused on loyalty and customer insights. Condado has since been named to the Inc. 5000, recognized as Breakout Retailer by Chain Store Age, and consistently ranked among FastCasual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
