Design Talk: Fast 60, Coherent 40: Design in the AI Era
AI has made it easier to move fast, but not easier to know what matters.
As design teams adopt AI into their workflows, the challenge is no longer just output. It is coherence: knowing what to automate, how to measure value and how to lead people through a shift that is changing expectations in real time.
On 27 May, Greg Kozakiewicz joins us for a practical talk on design’s next competitive advantage.
The session will look at the “60/40” ratio in AI-driven design work, and what it means for designers, design leaders, and teams trying to stay strategically relevant while everything gets faster.
We’ll explore:
* Why speed is no longer enough
* What the “60/40” ratio means for modern design teams
* How to measure design value beyond taste and output
* How business thinking increase design’s influence
* Where design systems fit in the AI era How to manage teams, expectations and ambiguity right now
This is not a portfolio talk. It’s a practical session for designers who want to understand where the work is heading, how to stay useful and how to turn design into a clearer business advantage.

AI x Travel & LEISURE Networking
**Travel & Leisure x AI — Barcelona**
The travel industry has changed more in the last two years than in the previous twenty. The way travelers discover hotels, plan trips, book experiences, and choose where to eat is being quietly rewritten by AI — and the operators who understand this are pulling ahead fast.
This is a **free, half-guided networking evening** built to bring two worlds into the same room: people running travel & leisure businesses (hotels, tour operators, restaurants, agencies, activity providers, transport, retail) and the founders, builders, and practitioners actually shipping useful AI tools.
Not a lecture. Not a panel. Not pitches from a stage.
We'll kick things off with a short, guided framing of the most interesting shifts happening right now — then open the room up for real conversations between people who can actually help each other.
Whether you run a boutique hotel in the Gothic Quarter, manage a tour company, or build AI products looking for sharper use cases — this is the room.
What you can expect to hear in conversations:
* **How travellers actually find you now** — AI search, ChatGPT recommendations, and what's replacing Google for trip planning
* **Personalisation that doesn't feel creepy** — tailoring offers, itineraries, and follow-ups to each guest without a bigger team
* **Multilingual by default** — handling enquiries, reviews, and content across every market your guests come from
* **Revenue, demand, and pricing** — what AI is doing to forecasting and booking conversion right now
* **What to automate and what to keep human** — because hospitality is still a people business
Come with your current bottlenecks, your half-baked ideas, and the question you've been meaning to ask someone smarter than Google.
**Free to attend.** All levels welcome — operators, founders, AI builders, and the curious in between. No technical background needed. Just bring your business brain and a willingness to share what you're working on.
Thinking With AI: Creativity, Hype & the Future of Work
**Thinking With AI: Creativity, Hype & the Future of Work**

AI is no longer a technology of “the future.” It’s already changing how we work, learn, create… and even how we think.
For this second edition of **Claude for Everyone Barcelona**, we’ll combine a talk with an interactive activity and an open community discussion about how we are using AI in our everyday lives.
Following our “**For Everyone**” philosophy, this meetup is designed for mixed backgrounds — you don’t need to be highly technical to participate. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to share ideas, questions, experiences, and meet interesting people.
We’d also like to give a huge thanks to our host for this event, 🙌 **Harbour.Space** 🙌, for providing the venue.

🎙️ **Talk**
**The Gesture, and How to Build Tools Today**
Designing and building with LLMs is profoundly changing the way we work.
In this talk, we’ll explore the role humans play within the creative and technical process, how to build tools that remain useful in a constantly evolving environment, and what personal methodologies we can develop to work with greater clarity and intention.
We’ll connect these three ideas - design, human-AI collaboration, and durable systems - to reflect on how to develop our own way of working in the age of artificial intelligence.
*By Tomás Milgron, Senior Design Engineer at Taller Oliva.*
⚠️ **Capacity is limited.** If you can no longer attend, please cancel your spot in advance so someone else can join.

Discovery starts here!
**Discovery starts here!
Agenda:
18;30 - 19:10 - Charla B! talks: Discovery starts here!
19:10- 20:00 - Networking con cervezas en la terraza

🍺 Agentic Coding Meetup — Devs & Drinks
No slides. No speaker. No agenda. Just developers talking shop over a cold one.
This is an informal gathering for engineers, founders, and builders who are deep in the agentic coding trenches — using tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, OpenCode, or rolling their own agent pipelines. Come swap what's actually working, what blew up in production, and what you're excited about right now.
We'll be at Barcelona, and the format is simple: show up, grab a drink, and share what you know. Bring a laptop if you want to show something, but it's not required.
WhatsApp Group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/GVS0bHMPIzID3Ch9lt6YsU?mode=gi_t
**What we talk about (but not limited to):**
*Agentic coding workflows and tooling
- Prompt engineering & context engineering in practice
*Multi-agent architectures and orchestration
- AI-native product building
*What's broken in the ecosystem and how you're working around it
**Who should come:** Developers, technical founders, and AI engineers who build with (or on top of) LLMs. All levels welcome — senior devs with war stories and curious beginners both make the conversation better.
**Format:** Open conversation, round-table style. Everyone teaches, everyone learns.

*BCC8333 aims to create a yearly gathering to unite open-source developers, builders, and freedom fighters to collaborate and find solutions to their most pressing challenges. We strive to empower individuals with the tools, resources, and knowledge needed to overcome obstacles in building accessible, secure, and privacy-respecting technologies.*
*We've found that certain subjects, like bitcoin, permaculture, and privacy, are not only fascinating but also challenging to learn. We want to provide a place where people with little to no knowledge can come and immerse themselves in a wide range of topics, from the basics to advanced levels. Our goal is to create a space where anyone can come and leave as an authentic cypherpunk, equipped with the skills, and also the tools to take control of their own sovereignty. Because yes, we want to help everyone have access not just to the experiences, but also to the tools to become a real cypherpunk.*

**Abstract**
Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod.

Columbus Arduino Raspberry Pi Enthusiasts (CARPE) (Check Location)
Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration!
This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired.
**New to electronics or curious about tinkering?**
You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building.
While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
