The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses, and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish but must also communicate. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams, and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmaster's journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedbackâand accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.

Creative Writing Budapest
**This week's venue: Beer People \| LĂĄzĂĄr utca 7\, Budapest 1065**
We hold a bi-weekly workshop to encourage creative writing where we share pieces of creative writing and solicit feedback from the other attendees.
Some members also use the forum to find others with whom to collaborate, edit work, and/or brainstorm plot, themes, settings, and so forth. And from time to time, we participate in competitions, recite and/or offer material for events organized by other groups.
At the moment there is no prompt for this particular meetup.
Instead, writers are invited to submit something they have (or are working on) or to craft a short story specifically for the event.
Of course, there's no pressure to submit something. Many participants are interested in hearing ideas, questioning the authors, and examining style and technique. Often, we explore other published works as well.
The submission guidelines are as follows:
1. limit the piece to 850 words (to give enough time for any other submissions being read at the event);
2. make the text available (though you can read it aloud) for the other attendees. Many authors bring a few printed copies, but one can also pre-post the item on [bpcw.slack.com](http://bpcw.slack.com) in the "_NextMeetup" channel (write me at eahofer (at) gmail if you aren't a member already);
3. have a question in mind for the group about the submission; and,
4. If offering something from a longer work, be prepared to give a little bit of background first.

Founders Unfiltered: Learn from Real-World Businesses
**đ About This Event**
Let's clear something up: most business events are theoretical. You sit through a lecture, take some notes, and go home to the same problems. This session is designed to fix that. It's a friendly, uncorporate gathering for independents focused on real execution.
**â ïž A Quick Heads-Up**
After two exciting events and many valuable conversations with you, it felt like the right moment to take the next step. Season Two begins now! This season, the Circle opens up even more. Besides our usual format, weâre inviting founders who are actively building and running their businesses to share how things work for them in practice - in their own words, from their **own experience**. Our focus shifts to real examples, real workflows, and open knowledge sharing from people who are doing the work day by day.
**đïž The Agenda & What You'll Learn**
We've invited two founders from two completely different worlds to share their practical blueprints. No theory. Just real mechanics.
* **17:45:** Arrive, grab a drink, and connect
* **18:10 - 18:30:** Building a hands-on business from raw idea to physical product. We dive into the world of professional engraving. How do you handle logistics, craftsmanship, and delivering a tangible product in a digital world? This is business you can touch.
* **đ 18:30 â 18:35:** A super secret surprise
* **18:35 â 18:55:** Ugly ads win. We ignore polished marketing and only trust raw, real reviews. That is User Generated Content (UGC). But how do you scale "authenticity"? We are showcasing our a AI platform built specifically to generate these high-performing assets. Weâll cover why low-fi content converts, the insights behind the engine, and how to automate trust.
* **18:55 â 19:00:** Future plans of CircleBudapest
* **19:00 â 20:00:** Genuine networking & conversations with quality food and drinks
* 20:00 onwards â Drinks at a nearby bar: relaxed chats, nothing serious
đ Who Is This For? This is for the freelancers, founders, and independents in Budapest who are tired of âhustle cultureâ speeches. It's for people who want to see under the hood of other companies. Whether you sell physical goods or digital services, youâll learn the operational reality of running a business today.
**đ Location & The After-Party**
We'll be hosting at the fantastic KLUSTER Coworking space. After the official part ends, a big table will be reserved for us at an undisclosed secret location nearby for those who want to continue the conversation.
**âïž The Legal Bit**
Our imaginary lawyers wanted us to mention again that we'll be taking some photos. By attending, you consent to this. Thanks for reading â cannot wait for you to join!

Az esemĂ©ny Ăgy nemcsak szakmai tudĂĄst, hanem inspirĂĄciĂłt Ă©s közössĂ©gi Ă©lmĂ©nyt is kĂnĂĄl minden projektvezetĆnek, agilis coachnak Ă©s Ă©rdeklĆdĆ szakembernek.

Intro to GitHub Copilot: Your AI Pair Programmer - Chris Steele
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is rapidly changing how developers write, understand, and maintain code. Powered by generative AI and deeply integrated into modern development environments, Copilot acts as an intelligent coding assistant, helping developers move faster while maintaining quality and focus.
In this session, weâll explore what GitHub Copilot is, how it works, and where it fits into a real-world developer workflow. Weâll break down what Copilot can (and cannot) do, where it can be used, and how licensing differs for individuals and organizations. Most importantly, this talk goes beyond theory with a live, hands-on demo showcasing Copilot inside the IDE and on GitHub, demonstrating how it can assist with code generation, refactoring, learning new APIs, and accelerating day-to-day development tasks.
Designed for developers, technical leads, and engineering managers, this session provides a practical introduction to AI-assisted development, highlights best practices for getting value from Copilot, and closes with guidance on how to continue learning and evolving alongside this rapidly advancing tool.
Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how GitHub Copilot can enhance productivity, improve developer experience, and fit into modern software teams today, not someday.

HTML5 Master Series (Class 01 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT NOTES:**
1. The dates listed for this series are about 95% reliable. We are completing our 2026 schedule as we speak, so minor adjustments are still occurring.
2. Each class in this series has an attendance fee, though this first offering is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Each class, from BOTH a sign-up and fee perspective, is a separate entity.
**Introduction:**
HTML5 is the foundational technology for modern web development, serving as the standard markup language for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. Developed through a collaboration between the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), HTML5 provides a robust system of elements (tags) that tell a browser how to display text, images, and multimedia in a clear and meaningful way. It works in concert with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for presentation and JavaScript for interactivity, forming the core technology stack for virtually all websites and many web applications today.
One of the significant advancements of HTML5 is the introduction of powerful new features and elements designed to improve functionality and simplify development. Key additions include native multimedia support via the \ and \ tags, allowing developers to embed media without third-party plugins. It also offers new form controls for better user input, such as date and email types, and introduces web storage capabilities to store data offline for enhanced performance. These features streamline the process of building rich, interactive web experiences.
A significant focus of HTML5 is enhanced semantics and better structural organization of content. New semantic elements like , , , , and \ provide meaningful structure to documents, which aids in search engine optimization (SEO) and improves accessibility for assistive technologies. These elements define different parts of a webpage (e.g., a header for the top, a nav for navigation links, a footer for the bottom), making the code more readable and understandable for both developers and machines. This emphasis on clear structure helps in creating more logical and maintainable websites.
Developing websites in today's competitive environment requires taking advantage of every technique you can to get the maximum exposure possible. Our HTML5 class will not only show you what's new in the HTML specification, but also the best way to develop optimized web pages that get the attention your client and/or company requires.
**The breakdown of the four-class series is as follows:**
