Personal development discussion: 3 topics to choose, topics in description
ENG The topics we will vote to discuss are Emotional presence / mindfulness, Apathy / indifference and Emotional saturation. 1 emotion topics and 2 personal challenges topic to vote for discussion. We will try as a group of random people to sit down and talk about emotions or personal challenges. Not necessarily to find a solution or an improvement, but to share perspectives and maybe discover new perspectives. Some people like to talk, some like to listen, at the start of each event, declare if you would prefer to participate in the discussion or prefer to listen in and chime in with an occasional question. If only danish speaking people are coming we will speak danish, if there are non danish speaking people coming we will speak English.
MVC vs MinimalAPI vs FastEnpoints and Custom Templates in .NET
MVC vs MinimalAPI vs FastEnpoints and Custom Templates in .NET
Spring is in the air and time for another edition of .NET Skåne! Join us at The Tribe's new offices at Skeppsbron in Malmö! **IMPORTANT**: If you have signed up to the event but can't make for some reason please cancel your spot in good time before the event so the spot is free for someone else to attend. **Agenda:** **WebAPI: MVC vs MinimalAPI vs FastEnpoints** (Johan Olsson) When building a REST API in ASP.NET Core, you can choose between Controllers (MVC), Minimal APIs, and FastEndpoints. In this talk, we’ll explore the differences between these approaches and discuss when you might choose one over the others. **Lightning talk: Why should a .NET developer care about WebAssembly beyond the browser?** (Adam Mrozek) WebAssembly is a portable, sandboxed execution layer with growing relevance for backend and cloud scenarios. In this talk, we’ll explore how .NET runs on WASM and what the runtime model looks like. We will look at use cases like: secure plugins, multi-tenant systems, and custom business logic. Finally, we will see why this technology is becoming increasingly important outside the browser. **Custom Templates in .NET** (Johnny Cederholm) We have all seem and used them, the built-in templates that ship with the .NET SDK. Even if they serve a purpose they sometimes miss what we need. In this talk we will have a look at custom templates in .NET, what it is and how we can create our own templates. **About the Speakers:** [Johan Olsson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jolsson800) Johan is a software architect/developer with extensive experience within the IT-industry. He started coding back in the dark ages (the early eighties) and hasn’t stopped yet. Learning new things and sharing knowledge is as important to him as beer. Life is meaningless without it. [Adam Mrozek](https://www.linkedin.com/in/awmrozek) Adam Mrozek is a .NET developer who enjoys working across abstraction layers, from low-level systems and runtimes to high-level application development. He has contributed to the WebAssembly Reference Interpreter and has a strong interest in runtime and legacy systems. [Johnny Cederholm](https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnnycederholm/) Johnny is an experienced software developer with a strong focus on backend development. **Host:** [TheTribe](https://www.thetribe.tech/) At The Tribe, we combine technical excellence with personal commitment. Together with our customers and partners, we create solutions that stand out and make a real difference. How AI Coding Agents actually work
How AI Coding Agents actually work
Welcome back to another Malmö AI Devs Meetup! Please note that this meetup will be held at a different location than usual. This time, we’ll be at Valvet. **The talk:** Claude Code, MCP, Tools, Hooks, Skills... OMG! AI coding agents are everywhere, but the jargon is piling up fast. Claude Code, MCP, tools, hooks, skills, system prompts, context windows... what does it all actually mean, and how do the pieces fit together? In this session, we'll cut through the buzzwords and look at what really happens when a coding agent works on your behalf. Using the open-source Coding Agent Explorer, we'll observe a live coding agent in action and watch the actual API calls, tool invocations, MCP traffic, and hook events as they happen in real time. You'll walk away with a solid mental model of how a coding agent actually works, from the first prompt to the final code change, and the confidence to reason about these tools rather than just trust the magic. **Speaker:** Tore Nestenius [https://nestenius.se/](https://nestenius.se/) **Location:** [Valvet Tech AB](https://valvet.tech/) Djäknegatan 5 211 35 Malmö

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 **Abstract** Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively. This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way. **YouTube Link** TBA
