Friday Night Kirtan: Soulful Musical Meditation
Friday Night Kirtan: Soulful Musical Meditation
Overview Get ready to immerse yourself in a spiritual journey through music and meditation at the Friday Night Kirtan event! Join us every Friday at **ISKCON Dublin** for an evening that’s more than just a concert—it’s a sanctuary. Located right in the heart of the city, at the top of the stairs on Abbey Street, our Friday Kirtan is a space for everyone to unplug, find inner peace, and experience ancient wisdom through sound. #### **What is Kirtan?** Kirtan is a traditional form of "call-and-response" musical meditation. One person sings a simple, ancient Sanskrit mantra, and the group sings it back. It’s effortless, deeply relaxing, and you don’t need to be a "singer" to participate. The music builds from a gentle, meditative whisper to a joyful, rhythmic celebration that naturally clears the mind. #### **Why Join Us?** * **De-stress:** Let the vibrations of the harmonium and drums wash away the week's tension. * **Community:** Meet like-minded people in a warm, non-judgmental environment. * **The Sanctuary:** Discover a quiet, hidden space in the city centre dedicated to peace and self-discovery. #### **The Evening Flow** * **6:00 PM – 7:00 PM:**[ Open Bhagavad Gita Wisdom Circle](https://www.meetup.com/harekrishnaireland/events/313884389/?fromSeries=true&slug=harekrishnaireland&eventId=313884389) (Optional - feel free to join early!) * **7:00 PM – 8:30 PM:** The Main Kirtan Experience * **8:30 PM onwards:** Evening concludes/Community connection time.

[FREE] 📸 Quality Time: The Photo Walk (Liffey Edition) 🏙️✨
[FREE] 📸 Quality Time: The Photo Walk (Liffey Edition) 🏙️✨
**See Dublin through a new lens—and with new friends.** Welcome to **Quality Time**. We’re "breaking up" with the shallow events to give you something better: a creative afternoon stroll designed to capture the soul of the city. This isn't about "the 'gram" or content creation; it's about the art of looking and the joy of being present. We are so excited to co-host this walk with our wonderful community member, **Angie**. Angie has a passion for capturing the hidden details of Dublin, and she’ll be guiding us to help find those perfect angles and unique perspectives that we usually miss while looking at our screens. ### 🥾 The Journey: We’ll meet at the iconic Samuel Beckett Bridge and wind our way along the quays. Together, we’ll hunt for the beauty in Dublin’s architecture—from the grand Custom House to the historic Ha’penny Bridge. * Duration: Approximately 2 hours of movement and creativity. * The Finish Line: For those who fancy a treat, we’ll head to Cinnamood on O’Connell Street afterwards for coffee and their famous cinnamon rolls! ☕️🌀 *** ### ✨ The Quality Time Vibe: Before we set off, we’ll tuck our "connected" selves away (phones on aeroplane mode!) so we can truly engage with the city and each other. **Connection that lasts:** Quality Time doesn't end when the walk does! We encourage everyone to share their favourite "snaps" in our community WhatsApp group afterwards. It’s a lovely way to see how we all saw the same city through different eyes. 🖼️🤝 *** ### 🕰️ The Schedule: * **12:30 \|** Meet at the Samuel Beckett Bridge (Look for Maja & Lexie! 🦄🦆). * **12:45 \|** Creative walk begins. * **14:30 \|** Arrival at Ha'penny Bridge & optional coffee social. *** ### 🐥 What to bring: * **📷 Your Camera:** Professional DSLR, film camera, or your phone (strictly for photography—no scrolling!). * **👟 Comfortable Shoes:** We’ll be exploring for about 2 hours. * **🌦️ Rain Gear:** It’s Dublin! Let's be prepared for all four seasons. * **💛 Yourself:** Whether you’re a photographer or just want to socialise and enjoy the walk, you are so welcome! *** ### 🎟️ Tickets & Community Support: We believe everyone deserves access to Quality Time. If you’d like to support our mission to build a more connected Dublin, any contribution is warmly welcomed! 💛 **A Note on Attendees:** Please don’t worry if the numbers look low on Meetup—we manage most of our community through **[Lu.ma](https://luma.com/qualitytime_dublin)**, and our events are always full of life! **⚠️ Liability:** *Everyone is responsible for their own safety and possessions. Let’s look out for one another!* We can't wait to see the city through your eyes. **Hugs, Maja & Lexie** 🦄🦆 *(Quality Time Team)*

Tango & Milonga: Practice and Social in Dublin
Tango & Milonga: Practice and Social in Dublin
We practice, dance, and enjoy a BYOB bottle of your favorite wine at the Dublin Ballroom off Sawmill, North, and “milonga” is a social event for tango dancing where dancers socialize. A “*practica*” is an informal social event for tango dancing where dancers focus on practicing the dance; while a “*practilonga*” combines the relaxed atmosphere of a “*practica*” with the format of a “milonga.” We are doing it all! ***Cost is $10 payable to the Teacher.*** *Cost is for the cost of the venue and covers some snacks.* We have had fun doing this event in the past. Please arrive promptly as lessons begin at 2pm. Don't worry about bringing a partner as there will be others at the event from outside the group that: a) might have a clue and b) won't step on your toes. The event is BYOB (similar to our Salsa events), so bring your favorite and a wine glass. We will likely find a place for dinner and drinks after the dance.
