Come join at no. 14 Henrietta Street to see a new exhibition by lace artist Fiona Harrington. Fiona brings the history of the museum to life through a collection of new artworks created during her 2025 residency at the museum. Fiona spent a year researching the history, architecture, and stories of 14 Henrietta Street. She responded to the buildings rooms, objects, and histories through traditional irish needle and bobbin lace techniques. During this thirty minute session, you can visit the exhibition, view the artwork and have an opportunity to see Fiona lacemaking and ask her questions. **Meeting: Outside the entrance door for 2.15pm.** **Date: 1st of May** **If you are on the going list, there is a ticket for you. ***Join us on a history-focused walking tour of Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove!*** Hello! My name is Marina Boyle and I'm a local tour guide excited to share Dublin with you. This is a tour for both locals and those new to the area to learn about beautiful Dun Laoghaire and make friends at the same time! We'll start at Dun Laoghaire DART station and visit landmarks like the East Pier, Dun Laoghaire Baths, the Forty Foot, and the James Joyce Tower and Museum. All the way along I'll be explaining the local history, with time for guests to chat and make connections between stops. Come and see what makes the coast of Dublin so captivating! Distance 68km, 1100m of climbing. # A lot of hill climbing on this route, only suitable for regular fit cyclists. Today we are going to take on a few hills for a lovely cycle up to Lough Tay ( also known as the Guinness lake) over the Sally gap. We start in Rathmines but from then on it's mostly climbing until Glencree. We stop for coffee in the Armoury Cafe which is in the old army barracks in Glencree. It's then more climbing up over Sally Gap to Logh Tay, for the perfect Instagram photo, then Back to Enniskerry and back into Dublin by Stepaside. Here is the plan for the day: 1. Leave from outside the Swan Leisure centre on Rathmines Road 2. Cycle to Glencree where we stop for coffee 3. Cycle to Lough Tay then back through Enniskerry, then Stepaside finishing the cycle at Cafe Nero, which is quite close to where we started. A lovely, but strenuous days cycling, with some fine dramatic scenery Please wear a helmet and bring a tube etc in case you get a puncture. Please note - It is every participant's responsibility to ride safely, follow the rules of the road, and come prepared with the proper equipment. We practice, dance, and enjoy a BYOB bottle of your favorite wine at the Dublin Ballroom off Sawmill, North, and “milonga” is a social event for tango dancing where dancers socialize. A “*practica*” is an informal social event for tango dancing where dancers focus on practicing the dance; while a “*practilonga*” combines the relaxed atmosphere of a “*practica*” with the format of a “milonga.” We are doing it all! ***Cost is $10 payable to the Teacher.*** *Cost is for the cost of the venue and covers some snacks.* We have had fun doing this event in the past.
