TEiP SPECIAL SERIES: LIVING WITH TECH • S1E2: THE WAY WE CONNECT
TEiP SPECIAL SERIES: LIVING WITH TECH • S1E2: THE WAY WE CONNECT
The second episode in our special series designed to open different conversations about AI, tech, and their impact on our lives. (Substack about our rationale for this event series [here](https://open.substack.com/pub/experimentsingroupwisdom/p/bored-of-having-the-same-conversation?r=445zi1&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true) 😊) We’ll use the typical THOUGHT EXPERIMENTS IN PUBS (TEiP) method of getting into great conversations: small group discussions, tiny imaginary stories, lots of questions, and many opportunities to shuffle groups (more detail below). **The thought experiments for these events are written by special guest writer and TEiP regular, Francesca.** She’s in the middle of a fellowship at Newspeak House (London College of Political Technology) and has her finger on the pulse of many issues related to technology and its impact on our lives. (You can find her writing [here](https://themagpiebrain.substack.com/)). As Francesca alludes to in one of her thought experiments: **discussing concepts and ideas with other people (rather than asking ChatGPT) is like going to the gym for your mind.** But as anyone who has been to TEiP will know, TEiP’s lighthearted and playful atmosphere means that it’s more like a fun dance workout than crossfit or weightlifting. **How we'll do it** (timings approximate): * 7:00pm - Arrive at Newspeak House. Nearest station Shoreditch High Street. * Organise ourselves into small groups (3-4). * Have a look at the thought experiments (announced on the day of the event) * 7:15 - Introduction to the event * 7:20 - First rotation begins - Talk about the first thought experiment, but feel free to veer off topic and pursue new avenues of conversation. * 7:45 - Optional reshuffle: swap groups, move on to the second thought experiment. * 8:15 - Optional reshuffle: swap groups, move on to the third thought experiment. * 8:45pm - Wrap up - votes to discern general views of the room; info about upcoming events; feedback/requests for future meetups. * 9:00 Meetup ‘ends’. But feel free to carry on conversations. We have the room until 10 :-) **Notes on the general atmosphere:** * The vibe is to let conversation flow rather than stick strictly to one topic. * While we'd like to talk about 'meaningful things', we also see the value in lighter topics, so don't worry about not being 'deep' enough! * Feel free to suggest ideas for future THOUGHT EXPERIMENTS IN PUBS meetup groups, both in terms of structure and topics to discuss. **Where we'll meet:** This group will be at NEWSPEAK HOUSE. The nearest Overground Station is Shoreditch High Street. Nearby Tube stations: Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, Old Street, and Liverpool Street. You can access the venue step-free on the ground floor. Bathrooms are available at the venue. **Please note: There is no bar at the venue, but you are very welcome to bring your own drinks.** **Who should come:** Everyone! We believe that the more perspectives, the richer the conversation. This group is not about being experts in Philosophy, it is about doing philosophy. That is, bringing our various life experiences and lenses on the world to group discussions about the human experience, the nature of reality... etc.... **[SUBSTACK](https://experimentsingroupwisdom.substack.com/)** \- newsletter and other writing **[WHATSAPP GROUP](https://chat.whatsapp.com/DapwAXpnOHO5DRYThobpe4)** \- stay in the loop **[INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/thoughtexperimentsinpubs/)** \- see what we look like **[WEBSITE](https://www.alltogether.one/)** \- everything else **If having different conversations about technology, AI and their impact on our lives sounds good, or intriguing, to you, please join us :-)**

Beyond the Build: Product Strategy, Trust, and User Behavior in the Age of AI
Beyond the Build: Product Strategy, Trust, and User Behavior in the Age of AI
**📣**AI didn’t just change how we build products, it exposed the cracks in how we design, ship, and make decisions. **This meetup brings together three perspectives on the real challenges of AI products:** getting users to use them effectively, managing unpredictability and trust, and rethinking product strategy when execution is no longer the constraint. Together, these talks shift the focus from technology to judgment, design, and product thinking. \#\# Agenda: **18:00** \- Gather & Mingle\. **18:30** \- Opening remarks\. **18:40** -"**Shipping AI features isn’t enough**" by Ellie Jacobs, Product Director LTX @ Lightricks **19:00** - **"Shipping Products That Are Almost Right"** by Meital Kochawi Levin, Senior Product Manager @ Bringg **19:20** - **"Product Strategy in the AI Era"** by Hadas Sheinfeld, VP Product @ ProductX.biz **19:40** \- Networking & Mingle Time **20:00**\- Close 🗣️First talk by **Elli Jacobs** **"Shipping AI features isn’t enough"** Users often fail to get value from AI-based features, because they don’t use them “correctly.” This talk explores the hidden gap between capability and usage, and how product teams can design experiences that guide users toward better outcomes without adding friction or requiring education. It’s about turning AI from something impressive into something reliably useful. 🗣️ Second talk by **Meital Kochawi Levin** **"Shipping Products That Are Almost Right"** Long before LLMs, non-deterministic systems forced teams to grapple with unpredictability, trust, and imperfect outcomes. This talk distills hard-earned lessons into a practical framework for building and managing such products—defining where accuracy matters, designing for failure, and turning users into active contributors to improvement. It offers a grounded approach to making “unreliable” systems feel dependable. 🗣️ Third talk by **Hadas Sheinfeld** **"Product Strategy in the AI Era"** AI hasn’t changed the essence of product strategy, but it has removed many of the constraints that once shaped it. As execution becomes easier, the real challenge shifts to prioritization, judgment, and building long-term advantage. This talk redefines how to think about strategy in a world where speed is no longer a differentiator, and exposes the gap between teams that truly have a strategy and those that never did. \#\# Audience: * CPO * VPs * Head of Product * Product Director * Product Pros 👉 Join us for an insightful and inspiring meetup packed with practical takeaways. \* The number of seats is limited , so do hurry up and book yours. \*\* Prior to the meetup, you will receive an email containing a QR code, which you will be required to present upon entry to the event. \*\*\*We’re aware of the Tube strikes in London next week, but fortunately, from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, train services are expected to operate as usual, so there should be no difficulty getting to the meetup.

London daytime testing at Waterloo
London daytime testing at Waterloo
We playtest all sorts of games - strategic, silly, creative, or whatever. Some games are almost done. Some are very early ideas. We test anything that will fit into 90 minutes. You don't need to bring a game - we always love to have new playtesters! Please let us know in the comments when you plan to arrive/leave and whether you are bringing a game or not. This helps us to plan the day better. The schedule is: 10am onwards - gathering, chatting 11am sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 1') 12:30ish - break for food/chat 1pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 2') 2:30ish - break for food/chat 3pm sharp - playing for 90 min ('slot 3') 4:30ish - finish up Often, we might hang around afterwards, to play some already-published games. We are strict on timings, so please try to arrive a few minutes before the session to limit disruption. You can just come for part of the day if you wish. The reason we have fixed timings for the 3 'slots' is to make it easier for folk to do so. Designers of all levels of experience are welcome! But if it's your first time, we ask that you don't bring a game and just spend some time learning how the group works. The group works based on reciprocation. If you expect to test your own game, make sure stay for long enough to play other games. As a general rule of thumb, you can expect to play one of your own games every third 90-minute session. So if you stay a whole day (3 sessions), you can expect to have one session to play your game(s). A good rule of thumb is that if you come all day, you will have one 90 minute session with two other playtesters in which to test your own games. It is sometimes possible to test games with more players. If your game requires 4 or more, please note that as standard you will be allocated half of a session (45 minutes). Pre-covid, we were getting unmanageable. As a result, we may have to limit attendees. This is a free-to-use venue, and we have to be mindful that other folk want to use the same space. Please note: This is an adults only event. We look forward to seeing you!

Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, it’s designed to be simple, creative, and a good time. We’ll walk you through the entire process, from picking your scents to choosing between a traditional cotton wick or a crackling wood wick. You can go with one fragrance or mix your own blend to create something completely unique**. No experience needed**, just show up and we’ll handle the rest. While your candle sets, feel free to hang out, play a game, explore the shop, or just relax and talk. Drinks and snacks are available, and the atmosphere leans into the **fantasy**, **dark academia**, and **gothic horror** vibe The Arcane Foundry is known for.
