For 2026, we are starting a new series of EventStorming deep dives. These will be like coding katas, except there's no coding, only sticky notes. In each of these sessions, we will explore a nuance of the EventStorming technique that we don't normally have time to go into during a more general workshop. What are we exploring this time? You'll have to show up to find out. As always, everyone is welcome. You don't need to be a software engineer to participate. In fact, it would be great to have more people who aren't software engineers. We're here to solve problems cross-functionally, not get into implementation details. As long as you care passionately about getting things right, then you belong here! This is a hands-on workshop. Be prepared to participate fully and add to the energy of the room. Liebe Musizierende und Tanzende: Die "Folkwiese" aus dem Mauerpark findet nun im dritten Jahr ihr Winterquartier im Offenen Wohnzimmer. Wir laden alle Menschen mit akustischem Musikinstrument ein mit uns leichte Stücke vom Balkan, Skandinavien, Irland oder Israel zu spielen. Wir spielen nach Noten, aber im Sessionstyle, also ohne zu "üben". Die Wiederholung machts ! Dazu gibt's leicht zu erlernende Kreistänze mit Tanzanleitung. Bringt gern saubere Tanzschuhe oder warme Socken/Hausschuhe mit.

Offene Bühne ! Jeden 2. donnerstag im Monat. Alle Arten von Darbietungen sind willkommen. Es gibt 2 Mikrofone, eine Sound-Anlage, ein Klavier und verschiedene kleine Percussion-Instrumente. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
