Come to our Info Session this Saturday, to learn about how YOU can give back, pay it forward, and make a world of difference for DC kids by devoting **1-2 hours a week** to serving your community as a **mentor, tutor, or coach** for **elementary, middle, or high school students!** Join us from **11:00am-12:15pm** on **Saturday, January 10th** at **Christ Lutheran Church** *(*5101 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20011*)*. **We need volunteers year-round: during the summer, fall, and spring** to support the youth **in Petworth and throughout DC.** You tell us when you're available, what age group you'd like to work with, and whether you want to mentor or tutor, and we'll do our best to find an easy way for YOU to get involved! **You do NOT need a college degree** \-\- just a good heart and a willingness to be a reliable\, caring adult in a student's life\. Come to Ellsworth Park with your little one for a fun time. Make a swing buddy. Explore one of downtown Silver Spring's park. Ellsworth Park is located next to the Friends of the Library Bookstore (old Silver Spring Library). There is parking, but if you live in downtown Silver Spring, it is just a short walk up Colesville Rd. The park has plenty of trees for shade. **A drop-in game every Sunday afternoon at the Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum.** The museum is located one block from the Judiciary Square Metro station (Red line). Street parking is available, and a paid garage is located at 3rd and G Streets. You do not need to be a member of the museum to participate. On entry to the building, inform the front desk staff that you are there to play mahj, and you will be directed to the Nosh Pit, where you can also enjoy a snack and coffee. **All skill levels are encouraged to participate.** **Lessons for new and returning players are available at 1:00 (please be on time).** Games begin at 1:00. Game play ends around 3:00.
