We share while we eat. **The Language Cooking Lab is an immersive evening where complete beginners learn the fundamentals of Italian while preparing an authentic Italian dish; tonight will be Pasta alla Carbonara — guided by an Italian professional chef with a background in language teaching.** This is not a lecture. Do you lay awake at night wondering what makes Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Very Tasty? Are you dying to know the difference between lazy jacks, lazy lines and jackstays? Does your heart race at the sight of a green can buoy, but you don't quite know why? Basic Sailing Theory has your back! Join us for five thrilling Monday evenings (7–9 pm) where we’ll bravely tackle some issues relating to weather, navigation, seamanship, rules of the road, chart work, safety at sea, and more. About the volunteer for this series: **Maija** will be the lead of the Basic Sailing Theory series. Born and raised in Siberia, in the heart of the world's largest landmass, about 2000 km from the nearest ocean, she dreamed of sailing ever since she learned that countries have laws and oceans are not countries. Drawn to what felt like the last wild and lawless frontier, she started sailing three years ago. After covering several thousand miles at sea, she has learned that water demands more constraint, discipline and respect for rules than land ever did. This is her first experimental attempt at sharing some of those rules.

ABOUT THE EVENT We speak different languages, we represent different cultures, we lived/travelled to different countries, we appreciate different accents. We have a lot in common and let us spice it up with love:) 1. For the dating session, we seat one man across from each woman, in a private chat room. Then, we rotate each man to the next woman in a different chat room, until each man has met each woman present. 2. We will give each couple 3 minutes seated interaction time. 3. RSVP will be open up until matches between sexes evens up. However, RSVP doesn't guarantee attendance, unless you buy your ticket. We constantly update the RSVPs. 4. If you are not able to attend, you can sell your thicket to same sex. 5. Before the 3 minutes time is up, make sure you exchange emails/numbers/FB/IG depending on whether or not you would like to get to know better, the person you just met. 6. Bring Your Own Beverage (BYOB - Alcoholic/Non-Alcoholic). 7. When you purchase a ticket, you will be emailed the Event ID and Password. Payment Instructions : 1. You should login from a PC to see the 'Pay Now' button, after RSVPing. Then hit the button. 2. Verify correct dollar amount for number of people you're paying for. 3. If you don't have a Paypal account, click "Pay with a Debit or Credit Card". 4. If you have a Paypal account, simply log in, and pay as you normally would via Paypal. Refund & Ticket Resell All sales are final. We only refund the full amount, if the event is canceled. If it is rescheduled, we will send an email to those who RSVPed 'YES' advising that. A full refund will be given to those that let us know within 2 calendar days of the update email, if you are unable to make it on the new date. No refunds will be given after that time. Let us meet up for a language exchange. We will give out name tags. You write your name and what language you speak and what language you would like to exchange. ***GRAB A DRINK AND YOU ARE ALL SET TO FLEX YOUR LANGUAGE CAPACITY.
