Hi and welcome to our next Socrates Café philosophy meetup! Do you have a hunger for deeper understanding of yourself and the world? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue? If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you. • WHAT IS A MEETUP ABOUT? AI is making decisions, generating content, and raising questions we haven't legislated yet, including one that once seemed purely philosophical: can an AI have rights? Recent studies show we're already trusting AI more than our own judgment, with critical thinking declining the more we rely on it. Meanwhile, violations are shaping legislation instead of the other way around, and the fences we're building may already be too late. This is a conversation about accountability, consciousness, and what happens when no one is checking if the rules actually work, or if there is even any rule at all.
