Tips to become a 100X developer with Dark Factory and Compound Engineering
**Tips and practical aspects to become a 100× developer with Dark Factory and Compound Engineering**
A one-hour session on the Pier07 terrace — practical tips on Dark Factory and Compound Engineering, the evening before the full workshop.
**What this session is**
We are planning a focused, hands-on Schwartz edition for a small group. Before we lock the format, we need to know who is interested — please spread the word within your team and tell us if you would like to join.
Practical tips on becoming a 100× developer with agentic workflows
Dark Factory and Compound Engineering — what works in real teams
Dark Factory & Compound Engineering
Two ideas behind this session — in plain terms.
**Dark Factory**
Agents run the software lifecycle behind deterministic gates — specs, builds, tests, and review loops — while you steer intent, rules, and verification instead of every line of code.
**Compound Engineering**
Each cycle makes the next one easier: you capture learnings in instruction files, evaluators, and gates so the system gets measurably smarter — not more chaotic — every time agents run.

https://goo.gl/maps/rgmRhs4WMD3ciASk7
* ¿Por qué ideales vale la pena morir?
* ¿Por qué nunca estamos satisfechos?
* ¿Por qué los seres humanos están informados de que la sociedad está yendo mal y los líderes están bien informados y las cosas continúan?
* ¿Es necesaria la identidad?
* ¿Qué es el precio ético y la codicia?
* ¿Qué es post-verdad?
* ¿Cómo puede ser que las personas en las sociedades democráticas estén tan obsesionadas con el poder? (Deseo de ser diferente, mejor, más fuerte que los demás).
* ¿Qué es la amistad?

***FAQ***
***Important note about class balance***
This salsa class is free, which means we cannot control or guarantee the balance between leaders and followers in advance. We also cannot predict exactly who will show up on the day.
For that reason, **admission to the class will be** **based on arrival time**.
*Once the class reaches maximum capacity, with a balanced number of participants, we may not be able to let more people join.*
We understand this can sometimes be frustrating, but this is the fairest way for us to keep the class balanced, organized, and enjoyable for everyone.
Please arrive on time to secure your spot.
**I am in the waiting list. Should I still come to the class?**
We try to keep the classes as balanced as possible, so if we notice we are getting too many leaders/followers we move people around to waitlist.
Sadly not everyone who signed up attends the class, so you can always still show up and see if there is a shortage of leaders/followers.
**Want to increase your odds to get a spot for the class?**
Then we highly suggest to come with a partner (leader+follower), as we always give them priority.
**Why am I in the waiting list I was earlier/first?**
There is two reasons, either you have attended the class before or, more likely, you didn't show up to a class you signed up for before.
Our classes are free, we do this as volunteers and because we love to introduce people to dancing.
***When you take a spot and don't cancel your attendance in a timely manner or at all it means you took a spot that someone else would have gladly taken, so we kindly ask you to change your RSVP accordingly.***

* Estás abierto a replantearte cómo aprendes
Why Is Your Language Learning So Slow? (And How to Fix It)
When I moved to Barcelona, I worked long hours and somehow still couldn't find people to actually practice Spanish with.
I tried courses. I tried Duolingo and Babbel.
They all felt the same: awkward exercises about topics I didn't care about, completely disconnected from my real life.
So I figured out my own method. It worked.
I learned Spanish in 4 months, and I'm now accelerating my French, not in a classroom but by integrating the language into my daily life.
That's exactly what I'm sharing in this free 1-hour session.
**What you'll walk away with:**
* Why traditional methods get you stuck at the intermediate level
* The one thing that actually moves the needle (it's not more tutoring)
* Daily practices you can start tomorrow - built around your life, not a textbook
**Who's this for:**
* You've been learning a language but got stuck somewhere between A2 and B2
* You want to actually use the language, not spend years chasing perfection
* You're open to rethinking how you learn
**Logistics:**
We'll meet at Sandwichez to have a Coffee all together and talk about our language experience.

Barcelona Badalona Sailing club: Learn to Sail
**Join us at the Badalona Sailing Club for a hands-on sailing and navigation experience designed for both beginners and more experienced sailors.**
Each meetup lasts around **2 hours** and combines practical boat handling with real navigation at sea.
Together, we’ll discover the basics of sailing through simple maneuvers, sail handling, and wind awareness — learning naturally as we exchange, ask questions, and enjoy a relaxed sail along the coast.
Beyond the technical aspects, this experience is also about **being at sea**. As we sail, you’ll enjoy a beautiful perspective of **Barcelona from the water**, learn how to observe the marine environment — and with a bit of luck, **dolphins sometimes join us**.
These meetups are guided by **Jean**, a pr**ofessional skipper and sailing instructor**, who focuses on sharing knowledge in a relaxed, safe, and supportive atmosphere.
**Prices:**
**\- 35 euros for the first session**
**\- 20 euros for following session**
Whether you’re stepping on a sailboat for the first time or looking to refine your skills, this meetup offers a meaningful and engaging way to learn, sail, and connect.

The European Union - History, Purposes and Aims
The European Union is best understood not as an economic project that acquired political ambitions, but as a peace project that chose economics as its instrument. In 1945 Europe lay in ruins, and the people who built it had a clear diagnosis: the recurring catastrophe was nationalism — the conviction that nation-states are entitled to pursue their interests against each other by force. Their cure was integration. If you bind countries' economies together tightly enough, war between them becomes not just undesirable but materially impossible.
From a modest start binding together the raw materials of war, the logic extended to more and more areas over the following decades: a common market, then a single market, then a shared currency, and eastward expansion after the Cold War.
This session will be led by Luca.
Bring wine/beer/drinks/food/snacks/whatever to share.

AI Agents 101: How to Make ChatGPT Do Actual Work
Most people still use AI like a search box: type one question, get one answer, repeat.
But the next step is AI agents: systems that can take a goal, break it into steps, use tools, remember context, and produce useful work for a human to review.
In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll demystify what AI agents actually are — without hype or jargon. We’ll walk through practical examples of how agents can help with research, planning, writing, coding, operations, and personal productivity.
We’ll cover:
* What makes an AI “agent” instead of just a chatbot
* How agents break tasks into steps
* Where agents are genuinely useful today
* Where they fail, hallucinate, or need human review
* How to design simple AI workflows for your own work
* A live demo of an AI agent-style workflow from start to finish
No coding experience required. This is for anyone who wants to understand where AI tools are going and how to use them more effectively right now.
LOGISTICS AND PARKING:
The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks!
The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.

**Abstract**
*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.
