Buenas!
(English below)
Vente y hablamos.
Rafa.

Hi!
Every day there are new ways to learn Spanish, (or any language) new apps, grammar methods, AI, teachers explaining things on videos, and they are all great.
If they help you to understand more and to speak better, they are great.
The main plan in this group is to improve your Spanish with games, real activities and exercises to speak more.
All the games and activities are a good excuse to correct the most difficult/ frequent mistakes:
Difficult words, confusing past tenses, prepositions, verbs that mean many things, ser and estar in the past, sentences with two or more verbs, subjuntive, colloquial expressions,
and also “cultural" mistakes: How we, Spanish people, use the language in different situations?
People participating are (almost always) very nice, and usually leave very positive reviews of the classes.
If the plan fits you, come to practice your Spanish and we'll talk about food, travel, work, culture, Internet, local issues, business, news and many more things.
There is a contribution to participate of only €10 per person/2-hour class (materials included, drinks not included) or €30 for 4 classes.
Let´s talk.
Rafa.

Search Barcelona - SEO in China - SEO con AI y The SEO Hot Seat
## ¡Bienvenido a Search Barcelona!
Our next Search Barcelona will be in Spanish. We will have two talks, one by [Natalia Witczyk](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/entradas-search-barcelona-seo-in-china-seo-con-ai-y-the-seo-hot-seat-1986508535505?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true) and one by [David Carrasco Pamies](https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-carrasco-pamies/ "https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-carrasco-pamies/").
We will have two talks, both in Spanish and then an SEO game called "The Hot Seat".
The Hot Seat"
Real SEO nightmares. One mic. Ninety seconds.
Could you solve them under pressure?
How it works:
\- David presents 5 absurd\-but\-real client scenarios on screen \(think: "Your intern used AI to publish 50\,000 pages without telling anyone — traffic is up 400% but Google just started deindexing\. What do you do Monday morning?"\)\.
\- For each scenario\, a volunteer takes the hot seat and has 90 seconds to pitch their strategy to the room\.
\- Then David asks: "Would anyone do it completely differently?" A second person gets 60 seconds to counter\.
\- The room votes on which approach wins\. David closes each round with his take or reveal what actually happened\.
\- Five rounds\, five nightmares

Monty's World: What a dog teaches us about consciousness
What is it like to be a dog? In this session we'll spend an hour in the world of my dog Monty. We will consider his extraordinary nose, his vision, and the strange new neuroscience of how he perceives. We will use that as a way into one of the deepest questions in philosophy: what consciousness actually is, and why it's so hard to explain through science.
This session will be led by James.
A relatively recent book on the subject I can recommend is *Being You: A New Science of Consciousness* by Anil Seth. A good overall review of philosophy related to consciousness is *Philosophers on Consciousness: Talking about the Mind (Talking about Philosophy)* by Jack Symes.
Bring wine/beer/drinks/food/snacks/whatever if you want to.

Energy Based Reasoning
Two weeks ago Yann LeCun and his team at New Yourk University published a paper
http://yann.lecun.com/exdb/publis/pdf/lecun-06.pdf
aimed to tackle a fundamental problem of AI -- world model, an obstacle that can keep us at the current level of LLM-s for potentialy centures, or can take us to singularity if it will be solved.
To do this LeCun used EBM -- energy base models instead of classical probabilistic densities.
We are planning to discuss energy based reasoning from mathematical point of view and also discuss connected technologies and their perspectives.
Main article that we will discuss

LLM Showdown: ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini vs Local Models
Join us for a practical, beginner-friendly guide to choosing the right large language model. We’ll compare major models like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama, talk about when to use hosted APIs versus local models, and break down the tradeoffs around cost, speed, quality, privacy, context windows, coding ability, and reliability.
You’ll leave with a clearer mental model for picking an LLM based on your actual use case instead of hype, benchmarks, or brand names. No deep AI background required.
LOGISTICS AND PARKING:
The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks!
The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.

CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers
A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective.
This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly.
Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
