Comme ça, vous saurez oĂč aller chercher le calme aprĂšs une sĂ©ance de shopping dans le quartier cet Ă©tĂ©. Peu connus ? Le plus connu de tous, c'est celui de la rue des Rosiers et, Ă  cĂŽtĂ© des autres, il est trĂšs cĂ©lĂšbre. Pourtant, j'ai rencontrĂ© plein de personnes qui ne connaissaient mĂȘme pas celui-lĂ . 🌳 🌳 🌳 BordĂ©e par la vallĂ©e de l’Yerres et la vallĂ©e de la Seine, la forĂȘt domaniale de SĂ©nart se situe Ă  25 km au sud-est de Paris. IntĂ©grĂ©e au domaine royal en 1314, cette forĂȘt giboyeuse fut amĂ©nagĂ©e pour la chasse au cerf et au loup Ă  partir du XVIe siĂšcle. A la RĂ©volution, elle devient propriĂ©tĂ© de l'Etat (domaniale). Ses grandes allĂ©es forestiĂšres, dessinĂ©es pour les chasses royales, traversent de vieilles futaies de chĂȘnes auxquels se mĂȘlent chĂątaigniers, pins sylvestre ou laricio. Avec ses 3 000 hectares de verdures et ses 145 km de routes, elle offre un accĂšs privilĂ©giĂ© Ă  la nature Ă  une population urbaine avide de loisirs et dĂ©tente. Ce qui en fait le « monument » le plus visitĂ© de l’Essonne. **DĂ©roulĂ©** Changement de dĂ©cor, je vous propose une escapade dans le Nord de la rĂ©gion parisienne, en Val-d-Oise, une balade trĂšs variĂ©e, en boucle, avec dĂ©part et arrivĂ©e Ă  Saint-Leu-la-ForĂȘt, en forĂȘt (justement) de Montmorency : c'est une magnifique forĂȘt qui coche beaucoup de cases dans mes critĂšres de randonnĂ©e : ambiance forestiĂšre (beaucoup de chĂątaigniers), un peu de dĂ©nivelĂ©e pour la variĂ©tĂ© et les points de vue, de l'eau (les trois Ă©tangs !), du patrimoine, et trĂšs accessible de Paris ! **En pratique** La distance est d'environ 15 Km. Pas de difficultĂ© particuliĂšre, il y a quelques dĂ©nivelĂ©es raisonnables... Il est possible que cela soit parfois boueux. PrĂ©voir un Ă©quipement de randonnĂ©e adaptĂ© Ă  la mĂ©tĂ©o du jour et surtout de bonnes chaussures de marche auxquelles vous ĂȘtes habituĂ©s. Hi Badminton Fans! Come and join us every Sunday for a fun session of badminton. There are usually 2 sessions to choose from. **This session is open to intermediate level players and above ONLY.** What that means is that you should be comfortable with short serves to the T, doubles rotations, and smashes. There is also an 11 am Open Session for players of all abilities. If you're unsure of your level, sign up for the 11am session to start or ask us! We will try our utmost to ensure that you play with people of similar levels. As such, we can and will restrict participation at this 12pm session at our discretion. **What Do You Need** Don't worry about equipment; racquets and shuttlecocks are provided, and there's no need for a badminton license or insurance. Just bring your indoor sports shoes, and a willingness to meet new friends and have lots of fun. There are changing rooms and showers. **Get There Early** Try and get there early to change and get warmed up so that we can start right on time. This costs 80€ for the first year and is renewable each year for 40€. We are an international group and everyone speaks English! 2. Are there still available slots? I can’t sign up! Help! * Check the bottom of the event page for availabilities. Once full, RSVPs will be closed. Sign up as early as possible because the events fill up very quickly. 3. I signed up, but I can’t make it! Can I get a refund? * No refunds for cancellations or no-shows. If you inform us early enough, we can try to find a substitute and refund you, but no guarantees. 4. Why can’t I get a refund? * We need a fixed number of participants to maximize court usage, court fees, team arrangements, and team rotations. Cancelations throw all of this off. 5. Do I need to bring anything? Water? Racquets? Birdies? * If you have your own racquet, that will be best! Otherwise, we have spare ones and we provide the shuttlecocks. Bring enough water to hydrate yourself.

Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in! We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind. If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.

We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).

if you’re **tired of doing the same boring thing** every weekend, this is your excuse to **do something different.** This is **not just a comedy show.** It’s a full **Saturday night experience** at Shadybowl Speedway — a **BYOB** potluck cookout, **live racing,** a late-night **bonfire**, open mic **comedy under the stars**, and **free camping** if you want to stay the night. We’re basically **throwing a party in the middle of nowhere** — about an hour west of Columbus and an hour north of Dayton ### The experience **Start early with the cookout** Come out around **4:00 PM** for a potluck-style cookout. Bring something to share, hang out, have a few drinks, and meet people before the night gets rolling. **Then head into the races** Racing starts around **7:00–8:00 PM** at Shadybowl. **Bring a chair** and sit with us in **Turn 4** — best seats in the house. **in front of concrete spots** 58,59 **ask for Chance** Think **racing isn’t your thing?** That’s fine. **Bring something to drink** and come for the atmosphere, the noise, and **the wrecks.** **Then the real vibe kicks in** Once the races wind down, we head back to the fire for **Late Night Bonfire Comedy** starting around **11:30 PM**. This is open mic style, so you might catch comics traveling through, a local favorite, somebody trying stand-up for the first time. Either way, **you’re getting laughs around a bonfire** with drinks, good people, and nowhere else to be. **Stay the night if you want** No rush.
