There are usually 2 sessions to choose from, **This 11 am - Open Session is open to players of all levels, though mainly intermediate players and below.** **If you are a complete beginner -** Talk to us first before signing up, and we can try to make accommodations and maybe have beginners-only court to begin with, with one of the organisers ready to explain all of the basics, such as serving, scoring, rules etc, as well as some pointers to help you progress. **Which Session To Choose** If you're unsure of your level, sign up for the 11am session to start, or ask us! We will try our utmost to ensure that you play with people of similar levels. **What Do You Need** Don't worry about equipment; racquets and shuttlecocks are provided, and there's no need for a badminton license or insurance. But what does it truly mean to give one’s life for a cause? But it is ambiguous to decide whether that sacrifice holds meaning, or even if it is necessary. The literature of war is very vast. In this gathering, we will reflect on the tension between ideology and humanity and the fragile line between heroism and tragedy, or the human sacrifice of war. This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. Some people who attend are retired, while others are still working, but we all share one thing in common — enjoying good conversation and good company. If you’re new to the group, don’t worry. Many people attend solo and quickly find it easy to strike up conversations. The goal of this happy hour is simple: meet people, socialize, laugh, and enjoy the evening.
