Join us for an engaging and inspiring life drawing sessions at the Toynbee Art Club in Aldgate Shoreditch, London. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner looking to explore your creative side, this session welcomes all skill levels. Our friendly and talented life models will strike poses for you to sketch and paint in a nurturing and supportive environment. This is a great opportunity to refine your drawing skills, meet like-minded individuals, and immerse yourself in the world of art. Beginners are especially encouraged to attend as guidance will be provided for those that request it. Come unleash your creativity with us! Poses are 1min to 50min. All materials provided.

Accessible-format life drawing and portrait session with a range of poses from 2 minute tutor-led warm up exercises to 15 mins in the first half of the class with general tips and tuition. In the second half, a long portrait pose of 35-40 mins with a 10 minute demo/draw-along led by tutor and portrait artist Rod who will show and talk through the process of drawing a portrait in front of the class. There is the option of doing a life drawing or a portrait as the model will be fully nude throughout. One-to-feedback given where required. Material and half-time tea provided.

Walking in nature can help quiet the mind, restore focus, and reconnect us with the rhythms of the natural world. Notice the delicate shapes, textures, and shadows that Nature creates, and transform them into your own cyanotype prints. Then come to *BE Ka Art Studio*, Elena's riverside atelier in *Trinity Buoy Wharf*, for a relaxing cynotype session. In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover cyanotype. This photographic printing process uses sunlight, water, and natural materials to create stunning one-of-a-kind artworks in deep luminous blue. Using botanicals, shells, feathers, and found objects, you'll compose your own prints and watch them develop in real time. No cameras, screens, or prior experience needed. Life drawing St Albans @ Trestle arts base. Our model for the Afternoon will be male, with life model Peter joining us for the afternoon, it will be great to have him back modeling for us once more. Please do book early to avoid disappointment. Session starts at 15:00 and ends 17:45. It will be great to see you in the day! This booking is for easels, please note that you may have to stand throughout the session as you will be working over the top of seated artists. If you want to buy extra paper I can recommend Turner Graphic arts and Jacksons art: https://www.turnersart.co.uk & https://www.jacksonsart.com/ Trestle is one of the best venues you'll find for life drawing. Lots of space and good views. The session will be in the theatre space at Trestle theatre, on your left as you walk in the main entrance. There are basic supplies available but its best to use your own equipment and make the most of the time with supplies you are comfortable with. An A2 drawing board with paper is supplied with smooth newsprint along with Charcoal and pencils. Newsprint is great with Charcoal so if you're a graphite pencil artist its best to bring a pad of good graphite sketching paper. **\*\*\*From now on Cartridge will be available to purchase seperately, so bring some change if you want to buy some @ 50p a sheet. 2 sheet supplied on the day. \*\*\*** The session will comprise of roughly 2 hours 30 minutes of drawing, with multiple poses of varied timings (2, 5, 10, 15, 20 & max 30 mins). There will be a break for the model halfway through the session All experience levels are welcome, However this is a standard drop in life drawing session. I am on hand to help and give advice but it isn't a structured class. For absolute beginners I would advice seeking a structured course to start with before using these sessions to build on your studies. Personally I really like Stand Prokopenko's Human figure drawing fundamentals. This will set you back £110 but I think its really worth the money you would spend at a night class and you get to keep the lessons to refer back to. 'Love life drawing' have plenty of free and paid learning options and is a great resource for starting your life drawing journey. However there are plenty of free resources available on You Tube, so don't go spending money until you know your commited to putting in the time. Plenty of free parking in the Trestle car park, accessed via Soverign park via Princess Diana drive.
