• What is it? - This class is for all levels from novice to advanced runners, where we will train you to run fast.

• When is it? - Running intervals runs every Tuesday at 07:15am, Wednesday at 8pm, and Thursday evening at 7pm.
• Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 27 years. For 14 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon. I have been involved in Athletics coaching since I was 17.
• How much is it? - €10 a class however you can buy unlimited PB:Running & PB:Training classes for the calendar month for €40.

We will use resistance bands in these classes. If you would like to bring your own then that is welcomed otherwise the coach will have sufficient quantity for each participant.
• What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen and condition the whole body. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals.
• Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Glories. We will be located between the big white circle and the grassy area. Just look out for me in my blue PB:Running top.
• When is it? - Strength and conditioning classes take place on a Monday evening 7.30pm (Park Ciutadella),Tuesday evening at 6.30pm (Park Glories), and Wednesday evening at 7 pm (Park Barceloneta).
• Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. Barcelona Casual Runners Weekly Meetup

You can leave your stuff there and we will begin running from outside the bar.
A description of the route is below for your information. Before the run, we take a group photo and after we drink and/or eat at the bar (not mandatory).
We will chat a bit before starting to run. The distance is about 10 kilometers (\~6 miles). However, there are plenty of opportunities to turn back before and sometimes people run a shorter distance. Each person runs at her/his own pace. Most of the time people are talking/chatting so it's honestly a casual run. Mini groups tend to form according to pace.
Please note people run at their own risk and please if you have any medical condition make sure you let someone know and be sensible, run within your abilities.

We kick off by running into the Ciutadella Park via the main gate. We then take a right to exit the park and immediately take a left to run alongside the round wall of the zoo (Passeig de Cicumvallacio). We then turn right at Carrer de Ramon Trias Fargas and head towards the beach. We then take a left turn and run along the beach heading northeast. Along the coast, we cross the Passeig Maritim de la Mar Bella for a quick stop at the water fountain and then turn back. The main change on the way back is that we turn right at the tram station along the other wall of the zoo (continuation of Carrer de Wellington) and once we reach the end of the wall, we are back to Passeig Pujades where we end our run.
🔥 Sant Joan en Pic d'Amitges + las Fallas d‘Isil 🤡 (☀️2D/1N🌜)
Sant Joan es la excusa perfecta para disfrutar de un batiburrillo de fuego, montaña y lagos glaciares.
Así que os invito a dos días de aventura y contrastes, celebrando el solsticio de verano, el día más largo del año y un festivo con muchísima tradición y locura en las tierras catalanas.
**🍀Día uno** (martes, 23/06), la jornada de calentamiento, iremos a trepar por varios pasos equipados en el espectacular desfiladero de Collegats, puerta salvaje entre el Pallars Jussà y el Pallars Sobirà. A la noche asistiremos a la bajada de las famosas Fallas de Isil, con su intensa atmósfera festiva alrededor de la hoguera del pueblo. Como una serpiente de fuego, los ‘fallaires’ bajan por la montaña con los troncos ardiendo a cuestas o haciéndolos rodar en zigzag ladera abajo.
**🍀 El segundo día** (miercoles 24/06) nos espera una deliciosa ruta por Aigüestortes que comienza en Port de la Bonaigua, aliñada con salsa de lagos glaciares, granito agarrable y bellos bosques de pino negro. Ascenderemos la impresionante cima del Pic d’Amitges (2849 m) y su vecino Tuc de Saboredo (2829 m) donde se nos desplegarán imponentes paredes verticales y crestas agudas, contando infinitas puntas altas que dibujan los horizontes del único parque nacional de Catalunya . Por pequeñas que parezcan desde abajo, estas cumbres alpinas son un enorme mundo a explorar, una experiencia única e intransferible.
🏰 Nuestro palacio será un encantador refugio de montaña rodeado del abetal mas espectacular de toda Europa. Comida casera buenísima, desayuno fabuloso y vegetarianos felices.

**👣 DÍA 1** (Martes) • Cuevas y ermitas en el Congost de Collegats
\- Ruta circular de 9\,5 km
\- Desnivel de subida: 620 m
\- Tiempo estimado con paradas: 5h
\- Dificultad: **MEDIA.** Tramos de trapadas por pasos equipados con grapas y cadenas
**👣 DÍA 2** (Miercoles) • Ascensión al Pic d’Amitges (2848 m) y Tuc de Saboredo (2830 m)
\- Ruta circular de 16\,5 km
\- Desnivel de subida: 1050 m
\- Tiempo estimado con paradas: 7h
\- Dificultad: **MEDIA**. Terreno de alta montaña con bloques de piedra y pendientes pronunciadas. Desnivel considerable.
\- Ruta no apta para la gente con fuerte impresión a las alturas\.
🔔 Todo participante asume que está en condiciones de hacer la excursión y debe comunicar cualquier dolencia que pueda afectar al desarrollo óptimo de la actividad.
🔔 La ruta puede sufrir cambios acorde con las condiciones meteorológicas y estado del terreno (nieve, ríos con mucho caudal, etc).
📣Aviso: en caso de baja de ultima hora (menos de 96h) la persona que se dé de baja tendrá que pagar el importe de la excursión y del transporte (si no va en su propio coche). En caso contrario, no podrá realizar futuras salidas con este grupo. Si después de darse de baja, su plaza se puede asignar a otra persona sin problemas, no se tiene que pagar.

Hola, ¿Quién se anima a correr o caminar en Barceloneta mientras el sol nace?
**#¿Qué hacemos?**
Quedamos delante de Buenas Migas de Barceloneta. Después de un breve calentamiento, unos salimos a correr y otros van a caminar. Todos, nos reunimos al final para charlar mientras algunos aprovechan de un buen chapuzón en el mar (opcional - traer bañador y toalla si os animáis). Con los que no tienen prisa vamos a tomar un café/desayuno después.
**#¿Qué nivel necesitas?**
Ninguno, no importa si lo que te gusta es caminar, si estas empezando en el mundo del running o si eres un(a) campeón(a), estas bienvenid@. En general, somos entre 10 y 25 personas. Nos reunimos al principio y al final de la actividad, pero nos dividimos en 3 o 4 grupos más pequeños en función de nuestros ritmos y de las distancias que queremos hacer.
Los que caminan, los que corren tranquilamente (6 - 7,30 min por km), a ritmo medio (5 - 6min por km), y los que quieren ir más rápido (4 - 5 min por km).
**#¿Precio?** La actividad es gratuita.

Who’s in for a Sunrise run or walk in Barceloneta?
**#What do we do?**
After a short warm-up, some of us go running and the others go for a walk. We all meet again at the end to chat while some of us enjoy a refreshing splash in the sea (optional - bring a swimsuit and towel if you’re in). For those who are not in a hurry, we then go to have a coffee / breakfast close by.
**#What level of running/walking is required?**
None, it does not matter if what you like is walking, if you are a beginner runner or if you are a champion, you are welcome, and you won’t get lost. In general, we are between 10 and 25 people. We meet at the beginning and at the end of the activity, but we divide ourselves into 3 or 4 smaller groups according to our pace and the distances we want to run/walk. Those who walk, the “tranquilo” runners (6 - 7.30 min per km), those who go at a medium pace (5 - 6min per km), and those who want to run faster (4 - 5 min per km).
**#Price?** The activity is free. If you want you can buy a running t-shirt of the group for 12 euros. Just let us know when you sign in.

Este finde te invitamos a una escapada perfecta al **Vallès Oriental**, donde exploraremos la **ruta fluvial del río Congost** saliendo desde el encantador pueblo de **Figaró** 🏞️.
Será un recorrido entre árboles 🌳, agua 💧 y montaña ⛰️, siguiendo el curso del río, con rincones sombreados, pequeñas pasarelas y ese aire limpio que tanto se agradece 🌬️. Ideal para desconectar, caminar a buen ritmo y disfrutar de paisajes preciosos sin alejarnos demasiado de la ciudad 🌆.
**Y lo mejor viene al final**: terminaremos la ruta en la **Piscina Municipal de Figaró** 🏊♂️, donde los más valientes podrán **darse un buen chapuzón** 💦 y brindar con una **cervecita bien fría** 🍻. ¡Plan completo!

Desde **HIKING BCN**, te invitamos a una experiencia única en el corazón de la Cerdanya. Nos adentramos en el **Pirineo Oriental🌲**, para subir una de las cimas más clásicas **Tossa Plana (2.909m)**, una perfecta opción para iniciarnos en terreno de **alta montaña**.⛰️

Rogamos puntualidad para el check-in y poder arrancar motores a las **8:00h**. En caso de retrasos, lamentablemente no podremos devolver el importe de la reserva.
**2️⃣ OPCIÓN 2**: Si prefieres ir directo, nos vemos en el **[Parking Refugi Cap del Rec (enlace)](https://maps.app.goo.gl/yjSP7MNDvz7hnJ2w7)** a las 10:15h. ¡A las 10:30h empezaremos la ruta des de allí!
**Regreso:** estaremos de vuelta en la estación de Fabra i Puig sobre las 19:00h, dependiendo de la situación de tráfico.

Ruta por el bosque: circular desde Borgonyà💚🍓🌻🌷🎋✨🌿🌳🪶
Nos reunimos de nuevo para una excursión muy especial de senderismo por la naturaleza 🌳🥰.
El precio del evento son 8€ en efectivo (si no pudiera ser, bizum).
Es una ruta de unos 13 km con unos 300 m de desnivel. Pongo de terminar a las 19h porque la idea es pasar el día, hacerla tranquilamente y realizar 3 paradas principales que os comento a continuación.
La ruta empieza y acaba en la estación de tren 🚉 de Borgonyà, es circular. Borgonyà es un sitio que considero muy especial. Caminaremos hasta Sant Vicenç de Torelló donde la idea es tomar algo fresquito 🧊🧊. Luego seguiremos nuestra ruta y durante la misma pararemos a comer 🌮 en el bosque. Cuando lleguemos a Borgonyà, al finalizar la ruta, podemos explorar el pueblito, que tiene mucho encanto, y hacer una merienda-cena en un lugar que conozco que es económico (tienen bocadillos 🥪 entre otras cosas) y bonito y dónde hay un billar 🎱 por si nos apetece jugar.
Cositas a traer: mínimo dos litros de agua 💧, gorra 🧢, crema solar 🧴, la comida que cada un@ comerá en el bosque 🥟.
