Berlin Sprachcafé. Learn and practise German easily (A1-A2)
The Language Café is primarily aimed at people who are struggling with their mental health which can make it hard to go to regular courses. We want to create a safe space for everyone to learn and practise without pressure. Everyone is welcome! Please try to be on time so we can all get started together :)
We mainly practise on a beginner/lower intermediate level and adapt to everyone's prior level of German.
The Language Café will focus on teaching you the most important words and phrases and basic grammar in German. The content of the course is adapted to real life. (everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other.
The Sprachcafé is for free.
\*If you cannot make it please cancel your participation so someone else from the waiting list can join, thank you!\*

**About Digitale Leute**
Digitale Leute has always been about one thing: bringing together the people who shape digital products. The thinkers, the builders, the ones who care deeply about how technology is made and why it matters. Over the years, our community has grown – but we’ve missed the magic that only happens when you’re in the same room, sharing ideas, swapping stories, and sparking conversations that no Slack channel can replicate.
So we decided: it’s time to bring our meetups back.

Hello Berlin, we're back!
After the last get-together where we started shaping the Berlin chapter, we're excited to invite you all together again for an insightful evening focused on AI Test Generation, community discussions - and YOU! The evening will bring together industry experts to share their knowledge, ask questions and learn something new. Whether you're a developer, QA engineer, or tech enthusiast, you'll gain valuable perspectives and practical experiences.
**✍ Registration:**
Reserve your spot by clicking "Attend" on this page.
Note - Participation is limited to 30 participants only.
**❓ What to Expect:**
• Talks from experienced speakers
• Networking with the local community
• A chance to speak on stage with 99 second talks
• Swag and goodies from MoT and our sponsors, TestMu AI
**🎤 Quality Talks**
*AI Test Generation: What Actually Works (and What Doesn’t)*
*Ruslan Strazhnyk - Founder & CEO @ QualityMax*
Every QA tool vendor will tell you AI generates perfect tests. After building an AI test generation platform - and dogfooding it on our own codebase - I can tell you what actually happens. This talk is a practitioner’s honest debrief. I’ll walk through two years of running multi-model AI against real web apps: what produces usable tests, what produces confident-looking garbage, and where the failure modes hide.
Specifically, I’ll cover:
* Why reading code isn’t enough - AI generates plausible tests from source, but they fail on real UIs. Crawling the live app changes everything.
* The selector problem - LLMs reach for brittle CSS selectors by default. How to force better strategies without prompt-engineering every call.
* Assertions that rot - AI loves asserting exact text and prices. Why your generated suite breaks on the first content change, and how to catch it before CI does.
* Multi-model routing - no single model wins at everything. What we learned running GPT-4o, Claude, and Gemini on the same flows.
* Self-healing in practice - the gap between “it healed” and “it healed correctly.”
You’ll leave with a clear framework for evaluating any AI test generation tool - or building your own - based on what the output actually does under pressure, not what the demo shows.
Level: Intermediate, assumes familiarity with Playwright or similar frameworks
*99 Second Talks*
Have something to share about testing, tech, or teamwork? Whether it's a win, a challenge, or a wild idea — you’ve got **99 seconds** and a room full of curious, supportive people. Take the stage!
**🕰️ Schedule:**

**Mandarin Learner Meetup in Berlin! *(Free resources below)***
**Learning Mandarin is like trying to tame a** 🐲**.**
It can feel frustrating, but you’re not alone. **[WeHanzi](wehanzi.com)** is here to support!
**[WeHanzi](wehanzi.com)** is an independently built iOS app created by Ben and Gina.
We've turned the entire learning experience into ***Comprehensible Input* through both simplified and traditional manga** with support for **Zhuyin**, **Pinyin**, **flashcards**, **audio**, **direct translation**, an integrated dictionary.
We also specifically design region-specific language to reflect real-life usage in both **mainland Chinese Mandarin** and **Taiwanese Mandarin**, allowing you to naturally compare and explore the differences between the two, so you don’t end up saying something that makes perfect sense in Beijing, but gets you funny looks in Taipei 😏.
Now, together with our good friend Matthias from **[Gemeinsam Chinesisch & Deutsch lernen](https://www.meetup.com/gemeinsam-mandarin-chinesisch-und-deutsch-lernen/events/308204343/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events),** we’re inviting you to our very first **in-person Mandarin Learner Meetup in Berlin** together!
All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced learners. Just come hang out, share your stories, laugh at our tone mistakes! As a community, we can learn from each other and turn Mandarin into a piece of cake! 🍰

We'll meet at the meeting spot first and then - depending on the weather - decide as a group to either walk around Tempelhofer Feld or go to a closeby restaurant to warm up and chat. So please be on time. Or if you are running late or can't find us, just give Matthias a call on 0176-21984345.
See you all soon,

How is AI changing our work?
**This event is taking place online.**
You have probably tried AI. Maybe you use it quietly. Maybe you opened it, stared at the blank prompt, and closed the tab. Maybe you are not sure where to start, or why it still feels harder than it should. Welcome to our community!
17:00 — An intro: Why are we here?
17:15 — What research and data shows us about how AI impacts work
17:30 — Where are you right now, what have you tried, what is in your way?
17:45 — What comes next: shaping the next session together
This is the first meetup in a series. We will learn from each other, explore AI at work, and eventually dive into the tools together — because the best way to loosen the fear is to do it in good company.

The Digital Delusion – Is Technology Making Our Children Less Capable?
**For those who read the book and those who haven't yet – both are welcome.**
*"Our children are less cognitively capable than we were at their age."*
That's the opening claim of [The Digital Delusion](https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/244813958-the-digital-delusion) by neuroscientist and educator Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath backed by a synthesis of over 21,000 studies. What does it mean? For most of the 20th century, IQ scores rose with each generation ([the well-documented Flynn effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flynn_effect)). Around the year 2000, that trend reversed across much of the Western world. In countries where traditional schooling remained largely intact, it didn't.
We were told that classroom technology, worth $ 400 billion, is the future of education, but Horvath argues it is not.
At the same time, [Salman Khan](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/196848520-brave-new-words?ref=nav_sb_ss_1_10) – founder of Khan Academy – believes AI could be the great equaliser in education: a personal tutor for every child, regardless of background. Both can't be entirely right. Which parts of each argument will prove to be true?
This June, Human Future Hub brings together humans interested in education, technology, parenting, policy-making and curious minds to explore one of the most consequential and least settled debates of our time: **what is digital technology actually adding to how we learn?**
We'll present the key ideas from both books, so you don't need to have read them to join the conversation, but it would be great if you do.
Come with your questions, your experience, and your honest opinion.
📅 Saturday, 6 June 2026 📍 Location to be revealed 🎟

AI Agents 101: How to Make ChatGPT Do Actual Work
Most people still use AI like a search box: type one question, get one answer, repeat.
But the next step is AI agents: systems that can take a goal, break it into steps, use tools, remember context, and produce useful work for a human to review.
In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll demystify what AI agents actually are — without hype or jargon. We’ll walk through practical examples of how agents can help with research, planning, writing, coding, operations, and personal productivity.
We’ll cover:
* What makes an AI “agent” instead of just a chatbot
* How agents break tasks into steps
* Where agents are genuinely useful today
* Where they fail, hallucinate, or need human review
* How to design simple AI workflows for your own work
* A live demo of an AI agent-style workflow from start to finish
No coding experience required. This is for anyone who wants to understand where AI tools are going and how to use them more effectively right now.
LOGISTICS AND PARKING:
The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks!
The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.
Stop Guessing: A Product Person's Guide to AI Adoption
## 🤝 Host Information
A co-hosted event by ProductTank Columbus & Women in Product Columbus
💡 About the Workshop
AI adoption is stalling across organizations — not because of a lack of motivation or tools, but because it's fundamentally a behavior design challenge.
This hands-on workshop applies proven Behavior Design models and methods to help you move from a vague organizational wish to boost AI adoption to 3-5 concrete, testable interventions you can act on starting tomorrow.
Whether you're a product manager, on a product team, or just someone trying to get AI to actually stick at work, you'll leave with a clear picture of what's worth focusing on, what to ignore, and how to drive real, sustained adoption — no guesswork required.
🛠️ What to Bring
Laptop: Fully charged and ready to go.
AI Assistant: Have your favorite AI assistant pulled up. (Dom will be using Claude, but feel free to use whichever assistant you prefer!)
🍕 Logistics & Perks
Food & Drink: Pizza and drinks provided!
Parking: Plenty of free spaces available on-site.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
**The Behavior Gap: Where Products Win or Lose**
Teams today have more data than ever, and yet many still struggle to understand why customers adopt, engage with, or abandon their products. Teams sprint, ship faster, and chase more signals… all while metrics stall and confidence drops. The missing piece isn’t more data. It’s often the behavioral insight between the metrics, explaining why the numbers move in the first place. Dashboards can tell you what customers did, but understanding why they did it (and how to influence what they do next) requires a deeper blend of insights. This session is about closing that gap.
Drawing from real-world experience designing and scaling products as [ZoCo Design](https://zocodesign.com/)’s CEO, [Lacey](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) will share how to cut through the noise and identify the insights that actually change behavior—moving people, and moving metrics. You’ll learn:
* Why understanding customer behavior is a quant and qual challenge
* How to spot the signals that actually predict behavior change
* Where AI accelerates insight, and where it creates distraction
* How to get meaningfully closer to customers, without adding more tools
This talk reframes how to evaluate performance and identify what levers actually improve it, helping your team to make smarter bets with greater confidence. Every meaningful outcome is driven by behavior change. And when you know how to design for behavior, you stop guessing, and start building things that work.
**About Our Speaker**
[Lacey Picazo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) is the Founder and CEO of ZoCo, a healthcare product studio that turns complex, high-stakes ideas into products that drive real-world adoption. She partners with healthcare organizations to uncover critical care delivery insights, focus product strategy through behavior design, and build solutions that patients and providers actually use.

Yarn Social at Northwest Library
If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, working with yarn, this is the group for you. Meet new friends, bring your projects, learn from others.
We normally meet a few times a month during the week from 6-8pm. We will occasionally meet on weekends during daytime hours.
