Grow & Meet: Oyster Mushrooms from Coffee Grounds
Grow & Meet: Oyster Mushrooms from Coffee Grounds
Grow & Meet: Oyster Mushrooms from Coffee Grounds Join us for a relaxed, social workshop where you can meet new people in Berlin — whether you’ve just moved here or you’ve been around for years. Winter days are short and cold, so this is the perfect moment to break out of the seasonal slump and do something meaningful together. We’ll be learning how to grow delicious and healthy oyster mushrooms using coffee grounds that would normally be thrown away. No need to bring anything — all materials are provided. Everyone will leave with their own small pot that will soon grow fresh mushrooms, and maybe you’ll leave with a few new connections as well. This event is all about learning something useful and doing something social with others. Let’s team up against the winter blues! Cost: 10€ (materials + workshop) Sign-up: Send an email to vitag@posteo.de The exact location and all details will be shared via email after registration.

#112 Let's Meet Up and Practice Languages
#112 Let's Meet Up and Practice Languages
(Inside event) Are you learning a language but can't find people to practice with? Do you enjoy helping people speak your native language? If so, meet with us to make friends and have some good conversations. We begin by sharing the languages we speak fluently and the ones we are learning. Then we split into groups and speak! You can switch groups as often as you'd like. The goal is to speak about interesting, thought-provoking topics - not just the typical introductions we usually make. At our last meetups we spoke: German, Ukranian, English, French, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Turkish, Polish, Swedish, Arabic, Norwegian, and Dutch. Can you help us make this list bigger? We hope to see you there and welcome ANY and ALL languages. (However, we cannot guarantee we will have a speaking partner for all languages). Looking forward to see you all! 😁

The Connection Table: Food, Culture & Community @PunjabHaus
**A night of culture, connection, and community in the heart of Berlin** Hey everyone, We welcome you all to **Punjab Haus**, a cozy and spacious Indian restaurant on Meraner Str., and we've always believed that **food** has this incredible power to **bring** **people together**. That’s why we are hosting this — not just as a dinner or a party, but as a chance for people from **different backgrounds, countries, and walks of life** to come together, share stories, laugh, and feel part of something warm and real. Whether you’ve just moved to Berlin, you’ve been here for years, or you're just passing through — we’d love to invite you to our **first community night of the summer**. *** ### 🌍 What’s the vibe? Think of it like a big living room with chai, music, and good people. Some will come to meet new friends. Some just want to relax and have a drink. Some might talk about travel, music, love, life — whatever flows. You don’t need to know anyone. You don’t need to be anything. Just come as you are. *** ### 🫶 What we’ll have: * A warm, welcoming space (indoor & outdoor) * Delicious **Indian Food** + drinks (non-alcoholic too) * Background music, chill lighting, and soft vibes * Open tables for conversations — or quiet corners if you just want to take it in * Hosts (including us) to welcome you & help you feel at home *** ### 📍 Details 🗓 **Every Saturday** 🕖 **19:00 till 1:30** 📌 **Punjab Haus – Meraner Str. 20B, 10825 Berlin** 💳 **Card and accepted** 🎟️ **Free entry – but please support by ordering food/drinks** 🙏 *** ### 🔔 A few things to know: * This is a **safe, respectful space** — all identities, backgrounds, and energies welcome * **No pressure to mingle** — talk, chill, dance, or just observe * We may take a few photos for our page — if that’s not okay, just tell us (no problem at all) *** We hope this is the start of something beautiful — a space where culture, connection, and kindness come together. Looking forward to meeting you 🧡 — **Simar**

We open the departures list** and figure out a way to decide which train we take. Throwing a die, or just we find a name of a place interesting, or something else. Once in the train we will also find a way to decide when we get out and what we do from there. The idea is to spend a good amount of the day walking and letting go. I of course have no idea when we'll be back, but let's try to do it before the sun hides completely. One constraint that could be good is to walk towards a station in a different line than the one we started at. We'll see :) \-\-\- **Transport:** **DeutschlandTicket only**, as we don't know where we are going or where we are stopping. **Disclaimers:** \- Participation is under your own responsibility\, the organizers are not liable for damages or losses\. \- Some pictures/video might be taken and displayed publicly for the purposes of promotion of the group\. Filmmakers & Movie Nerds Meetup #
Filmmakers & Movie Nerds Meetup #
Curious what we do? Check our [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/filmmakersandmovienerds/) ♥️ Would you like to meet some like-minded filmmakers? Start a project? Or do you need help with a movie you are currently working on? Are you new in the city and you'd like to meet people tinkering with movies? **Then you should join us!** We meet every Sunday. It’s important to us that we get to know each other in person. To create a community of connected people, work, learn and grow together. For film making you need a crew of reliable people with a positive can-do-attitude. This is the place to find them. Together, we will talk about these topics: * What you are currently working on * What you need help with * What would you like to help with * What you you would like to learn This is event is great for: * filmmakers * movie nerds * writers * camera operators * editors * actors * sound recorders * composers * gaffers * producers We are limiting the amount of people, so we can have a structured introduction and discussion. After that we get together loosely with some drinks and chats. And then we mostly go for dinner with a couple of us. **Important information**: *To sustain and grow this amazing community, we started a member contribution that is due every month. The money we collect is used solely for the purpose of the community. Of course you can come once or twice without contributing to check us out!*
Let's build a Scavenger Hunt together - Social Butterfly Club 🦋
Let's build a Scavenger Hunt together - Social Butterfly Club 🦋
This meetup is a relaxed kick-off for everyone who’s curious about building something together. The idea: creating a playful scavenger hunt for Berlin — step by step, as a community. Not as a fixed project yet, but as an open exploration of what could be fun, meaningful, and doable together. This first meetup is a thinking and exchange space: * What makes a great scavenger hunt? * Digital or analogue? * Small and simple, or a bit more ambitious? * How could we collaborate in a way that feels light and sustainable? You don’t need any prior experience, skills, or commitment. Just curiosity, ideas, and an interest in making things with others. This meetup is part of our **Maker Octopus** 🐙 spirit — about experimenting, co-creating, and letting ideas grow through shared action. Meet your host I’m Julia — a Berlin local who loves bringing people together. My path went from growing up in a dance school to studying philosophy to working in IT support, and somehow all of that led me here: hosting meetups and creating spaces where people can show up, relax, and connect.
