A les vigílies de Sant Jordi, **aquest taller proposa un viatge fascinant per la història d’una de les criatures més universals de la imaginació humana: el drac.** Des de les civilitzacions antigues fins a la iconografia medieval, el drac **ha estat molt més que un monstre**. Ha simbolitzat el caos, el poder de la natura, la saviesa, la protecció o el mal a combatre. A partir d’idees del llibre *"El secret dels dragons" de Joel Levy*, explorarem els seus **significats simbòlics** i veurem com **artistes de diferents èpoques han representat aquestes criatures.** També ens aproparem a la llegenda de **Sant Jordi** i al seu drac, per entendre com aquest relat s’ha convertit en **un símbol cultural profundament arrelat a Catalunya**. Un recorregut breu però ric en *imatges, mites i significats* per descobrir per què els dracs continuen fascinant-nos avui. Aquest taller consta d'**una sessió única de dues hores**. T’imagines la passió de l’òpera fora d’un gran teatre? Nosaltres transformarem un espai ple d’històries en un escenari on la música i les paraules es troben. Així que et convidem a una experiència íntima i totalment original: una versió de concert del gran mestre Giuseppe Verdi, **Rigoletto**, que et farà vibrar a pocs centímetres dels artistes, al cor de la preciosa **Llibreria Byron**. **BYRON és una llibreria-cafè , punt cultural de referència a Barcelona**. Un espai polivalent on *la literatura, la gastronomia i l’activitat cultural i social* es donen la mà per oferir un lloc únic a BCN. **Una llibreria amb gairebé 500 metres de prestatgeries, una gran sala d’actes i molts racons on seure a llegir, gaudir** **de presentacions literàries i degustar un bon cafè.** *Que veurem aquest dia?* De la mà del gran pianista **Elke Sanjosè**, i amb els artistes: ***Lucas Groppo*, *Alberto Espinosa*, Romina Krieger i Mariel Aguilar** **Una de les òperes més intenses de Verdi** arriba en una adaptació àgil i teatral amb tota la seva força dramàtica. Sin embargo, Rigoletto es muy protector de su hija *Gilda* y odia a la corte por su libertinaje y falta de moral. Un día, el duque de Mantua decide conquistar a Gilda, y Rigoletto teme por su seguridad. Para protegerla, Rigoletto la esconde en un lugar secreto y contrata a un asesino para matar al duque. Sin embargo, el plan de Rigoletto falla y, en lugar del duque, Gilda es raptada y llevada a la corte. Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads. Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead. Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun. Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards. Park anywhere around the building. Please avoid parking in front of the houses in the neighborhood behind the Meadery. Please keep your RSVP current.
