LGBTQ+ Community Brunch
Support a local LGBTQ+ business. **Brunch starts at 11 a.m.** at Freddie's Beach Bar & Restaurant, 555 23rd St. S, Arlington, Virginia 22202. Enjoy a delicious brunch and meet LGBTQ+ folk. Make meaningful new connections. The event is free to attend; you simply pay for whatever you order on your own on separate credit card; there's no group tab to worry about.

**Metro Directions:** Be eco-friendly. Metro rides are now capped at only $2.50 on weekends, regardless of distance traveled. Crystal City Metro station on the Yellow/Blue lines is the closest Metro stop. When you arrive, go out the station, walk towards your left to 18th Street and then veer right and walk under the Route 1 overpass to Eads St. Turn left and walk to 23rd Street. Turn right. Freddie's is up 23rd Street just a block. Just look for the rainbow flags on the right-hand side of the street! The venue phone number is (703) 685-0555 in case you get lost.
Parking is usually available nearby on the residential side streets.

We are the regular play group for NE DC! New folks are always welcome.
Bring your favorite decks for some casual Commander, and feel free to bring a trade binder. Proxies are allowed.
City-State Public House is our accommodating host venue, and our location within the space may vary. We are often in the back room away from the noise of the crowd, but ask at the bar for our location on the day if you don't readily see the group.
I ask that you RSVP, even if you're a regular, so I can make sure we have the right number of tables for our group. First games start at 3 pm.

Monthly Family Meditation - Bethesda, MD
Each month we will gather in community for mindfulness meditation and activities. There will be time for collective family practice as well as time for parents and children to break-out into groups and engage with peers. Rooms will be right next door to each other. We request that children under the age of 5 stay with caregivers.

Join us for a beautiful fall bicycle ride through scenic Great Falls, Virginia! Weather will be a little warmer so let's take advantage of the nice weather.
This 39 mile ride starts and ends in Vienna, Virginia. It includes portions of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. It also goes through the historic towns of Vienna and Herndon and past the Barns at Wolf Trap. The ride includes a rest stop in scenic Riverbend Park.

Surface: Paved multi-purpose trail and roads
Terrain: Scenic, flat to hilly
Rest Stops: Great Falls National Park, Sunoco at (Great Falls Plaza), Green Lizard Cycling (Herndon)
Hazards: On the W & O D Trail – crossing intersections, runners, pedestrians, kids, moms with strollers, other cyclists, and occasional furry creatures. On roads – automobile traffic & crossing at intersections
Recommended Bicycle: Road (including cyclocross)

The portion of this route through Great Falls is hilly, with a few of the hills being rather steep. Unless you are a super fit athlete, or a super masochist, you should not attempt this route on anything other than a road bike or cyclocross!

Total Climb: 1113 ft.
Max Grade: 5.2 %
Recommended pace: 12 to 14 mph
Surface: Paved multi-purpose trail and roads
Terrain: Flat to slightly hilly

Hazards: Crossing intersections, runners, pedestrians, kids, moms with baby strollers, other cyclists, and occasional furry creatures.

Comments: You can make this a shorter (17.3 miles) ride with less climbing (688 ft) by turning around at Herndon.

Ben Mauger's Vintage Jazz Band brings hot swing to the DC area - come on out and don't forget your dancing shoes!
The PRJC welcomes back a club favorite - trumpet and cornet virtuoso Ben Mauger, who has been pleasing audiences performing throughout the East Coast for over 25 years. His Pennsylvania based Vintage Jazz Band brings a program featuring a mix of classics from Louis Armstrong, Bix Biederbecke and hot trad jazz swing.
Known for their energetic take on hot-jazz, Dixieland, and swing-from roaring '20s dance numbers to classic "Saints"-style tunes-this band delivers toe-tapping music and vibrant nostalgia. It'll be an afternoon of bright horns, swinging rhythms, and plenty of party-ready energy-and though Mother's Day will have passed, it's still a perfect way to celebrate our beloved Moms.
This year. Ben is bringing an All-Star lineup for the concert - get ready for some musical surprises that we're sure you will all enjoy. There will also be a special treat for Mother's Day attendees! Rosensteel Hall is near Metro's Red Line, has tons of free parking, plenty of seating, and features a big dance floor and a cash bar with beverages and snacks. Come on out and support live local music.

Our last online Bingo Night Party was such a BIG hit, we're doing it again! Do you like to play BINGO or want to just do something different?! Then you will LOVE this event! Here is your opportunity to have some fun playing our Live "Bingo" game. You will also get to socialize and make other friends from the comfort of your home.
Prizes included Amazon gift cards, free future events and more! This completely online event will be LIVE and you will be able to see and hear the other participants while playing. You will either need to print or draw out your bingo cards. We will email you with how to get it after registering.
You can have more than 1 person on your team as long as they're from your house and use same device. Friends/family around the country can also play. They would just need to also register for a ticket.
