While plot details are mostly still under wraps, it’s described as a fresh and terrifying take on the classic mummy mythos — possibly focusing on ancient evils and the horrors that follow. Oh, by the way, **this film isn’t connected to the old Universal Mummy franchise** starring **Brendan Fraser** or the more recent **Tom Cruise** reboot — it’s a completely standalone horror film. So here’s the plan for our Friday Night Mummy Meet-Up! We’ll kick off the weekend vibe with drinks before the movie and share some of our favorite horror films from the past.
