\*\*Each week we typically have 2-3 spots open to players from this app. This is why you will only see 2-3 attending. The others are regulars and we coordinate in a private WhatsApp group\*\* We play a 6v6 game every Wednesday @ 8:00PM in SportsCo, Dublin 4. The pitch we use is spacious an ideal for 6v6 (ball/all bibs provided). To encourage passing and flowing football, goals can only be scored from inside the penalty area. Games are played in a friendly atmosphere and slide tackles are prohibited. We don't have stick keepers and use a last-man back policy. There is a core group of regular players who have played with us for years but we also invite a handful of pickup players to play from this app. If pickup players like the vibe they might have the option to subscribe on a longer-term basis. This game has been running on the same pitch for over a decade. The games are good quality with good technical players and always played in a nice, competitive atmosphere.

I do wish the weather would make it's mind up! - Or at least the forecasters. One minute we're due a heatwave, amber alerts are in place, hosepipe bans at the ready, the next it's raining. Oh well, this is Ireland after all, so lets go and have a run and a beer to discuss all afterwards. This week, whatever the weather does, we will be heading around the streets of South Dublin and ending up at **Murphy's in Rathmines**, always a welcoming hostelry, so come along and join us all, you know it makes sense. Make to the most of the bright evenings and join us for a social cycle out to Howth Village. Total distance 25 km. Mostly flat with an optional climb up to the Summit. Here is our plan for the evening. 1️⃣. We leave at 7.00pm from the sails sculpture on Clontarf Road. 2️⃣. Cycle out to Sutton Cross along the coastal cycle path 3️⃣. Here we turn right and cycle directly over Howth Hill 4️⃣ Short stop in the village for a coffee and a chat, then back by shorter route aiming to be back to Clontarf by 9.00pm 🪖PLEASE WEAR A HELMET and bring a tube in case you have a puncture WAIVER & RELEASE: We are a group composed of volunteers. This walk starts at Howth train station and finishes at Portmarnock train station. If the tide is out, we'll leave Howth by Burrow Beach. Burrow Beach offers great views of Irelands Eye and Howth Harbour. From there, we'll make our way through Sutton and onto Baldoyle. There is a new greenway from Baldoyle to Portmarnock allowing us to enjoy our way, traffic free.

Mix of paces in this group from 6:30 min per km to close to 5 min per km. For those that want to do a longer distance, they will probably start earlier and link up with us for 9AM If you are doing one of the earlier runs (Such as Harry's run), please sign up for this too. Ideally we will run the trails if they are not too wet. Meet near the bus stop at the visitors centre car park. If you have any question, please get in touch. Open Shelter has teamed up again with Red White and Boom! Friday, July 3rd & we are looking for volunteers to run the event’s alcohol booths. Proceeds from sales go to the Open Shelter’s organization. There are two available shifts: 12-6p & 5-11p. There will be an ipad-like device to process transactions in addition to cash. Everything will be in bottles or cans, so transactions should be very easy. Must be 21+. There are multiple beverage stations along the Civic Center Bridge. The stations are covered and also have beverage trucks next to them, so volunteers can cool off in the trucks. As far as parking, it is suggested those who are coming from the east use the Columbus Commons Garage, and those from the west use the Belle Street Garage.
