**CLASES REGULARES DE PERCUSIÓN IBÉRICA DE NIVEL INICIAL** En la península ibérica hay gran cantidad de instrumentos de percusión. La mayoría de estos instrumentos normalmente se han tocado por separado, con la función de acompañar al canto o a los bailes. En este curso, se ha trabajado por reunirlos y ofrecer un lenguaje propio inspirado en los ritmos tradicionales. * Estamos al lado del metro de la Verneda, Barcelona. Exiten muchas visitas al Observatori Fabra.... pero pocas cuentan con el privilegio de tener como **guía** a su **responsable en meteorología**, **Alfons Puertas**, miembro de la Academia de las Ciencias y las Artes de Barcelona Y es que en la cima del Tibidabo, nuestra montaña más barcelonesa, existe uno de los **observatorios astronómicos más antiguos y emblemáticos de Europa**: el Observatori Fabra. Pero además de los astros, y de forma mucho más desconocida, en el Fabra se estudia la **meteorología** de Barcelona y su sismografía (terremotos) desde principios del s.XX. Aspectos en los que aprenderemos mucho! Además, en la ruta nos hablarán de **su telescopio centenario**, el firmamento, las galaxias, la historia, los **aparatos meteorológicos**...etc. Y para subir al Tibidabo haremos **una bonita excursión**, con unas **magníficas vistas sobre la ciudad**. Otro día genial en el que le sacaremos el máximo partido a Collserola. Éste es nuestro **PLAN:** -Encuentro en la estación del Peu del Funicular para tomar juntos el funicular hacia Vallvidrera (viaje en T-10 de una zona) -Excursión a pie de Vallvidrera al Observatori Fabra (45 minutos) -Visita guiada al Observatori Fabra, con el meteorólogo responsable de la instalación, con explicaciones sobre astronomía y meteorología. -Continuación de la excursión a pie hasta Vallvidrera (30 minutos) -Posibilidad de comer en Vallvidrera o Sarrià (opcional) **PRECIO**: 15 euros (incluye: organización y guía licenciado en historia, entrada al Observatorio Fabra y visitada con personal de la institución). Atención, la caminata es suave y por camino asfaltado, pero **se requiere un mínimo de condición física** y calzado cómodo para poder venir!

Vamos a visitar el estudio de Sarah Bevin, artista visual inglesa que vive y trabaja en el barrio barcelonés del Poble Sec. La mayor parte de su trabajo está realizado sobre papel, de diversos tamaños, utilizando una combinación de técnicas y materiales, como el *collage,* la acuarela, el gouache, el pastel suave, el carboncillo o la tinta, que dotan a sus obras de múltiples texturas y contrastes. El uso del *collage* proporciona tridimensionalidad a sus piezas y le permite a la artista experimentar con patrones y formas. A menudo, sus obras se basan en la interacción de las personas con el mundo natural: una relación simbiótica hermosa, pero frágil, cuya presencia se ha vuelto cada vez más importante en su trabajo. Sarah Bevin ha realizado estudios de Arte e Historia del Arte de la Universidad de Aberystwyth, en Gales, así como un master en Diseño para el Medio Ambiente en la Escuela de Arte de Chelsea - Universidad de Londres. We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily.
