Maruja Limón concert on the lawn
Great energy. . . flamenco/pop fusion
Maruja Limón is a vibrant all-female sextet from Barcelona known for blending flamenco, pop, and Latin rhythms into an electrifying contemporary sound. Since forming in 2014, the group has built a reputation for energetic performances and inventive songwriting, appearing at festivals and venues across Europe and beyond.
Their latest EP, Te como la cara, expands their signature style with experimental electronic textures, dembow, salsa, and Latin rumba, pairing explosive rhythms with lyrics that balance humor, sensitivity, and sharp observation. Recognized by Billboard’s On the Radar Latin and following a successful US debut that included performances at major venues such as Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center, Maruja Limón continues to captivate audiences with music that bridges tradition and innovation.
Due to a family obligation, Vicky Blum will be replaced by Cristóbal Salazar.
Please RSVP so that we can keep you updated on any event or weather changes.

Just bring your instrument(Electric), no need to bring an amp we have all of that.
Do not bring a pedal board with a bunch of pedals. The amps are dialed in for blues, trust me it's all there.
Drums are here already, very basic kit. If you want to bring cymbals or any other drum gear, please show up early to set up. Also please be aware that other people are going to play the kit as well.
CrazySexyCool – The TLC Musical - Curtain at 2PM
Join us for *CrazySexyCool - The TLC Musical* at Arena Stage on Saturday, July 11 at 2PM! I've sold all the flex pack tickets, so anyone without a ticket will need to buy their own.
For those who bought a $76 flex pack ticket from me, I'll be in the lobby passing them out starting at 1:30PM. I'll post a comment with my exact location once I get the tickets from the box office.
TLC blazed a trail and changed the game. The trio stormed the 90s music scene, not only topping the charts—but creating the look, sound, and soul of a generation. With their unforgettable anthems, fly dance moves, and head-turning style, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas defined what it meant to be women in music. The most successful female group of all time, they’ve spent over three decades breaking boundaries and empowering generations. Now their journey comes to the stage with the fresh, new musical *CrazySexyCool*.
Visionary writer and director, Kwame Kwei-Armah (*One Love: The Bob Marley Musical*) brings TLC’s (mostly true) story of unshakable sisterhood to the stage, featuring a powerhouse cast, high-octane choreography, and multi-platinum Billboard hits like “Waterfalls,” “Creep,” “Unpretty,” and of course, “No Scrubs.” Go beyond the fiery scandals, explosive creative clashes, and harrowing tragedies to experience this remarkable tale of defiance, triumph, and love.

CMG Gives Back: Serve Dinner at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “Create a better world” by helping serve those in need. NOTE: We’re switching it up this time and going with a DINNER shift on Mon, 7/6. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces.
PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for DINNER from 4:30 to 6:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 4:20pm and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking are available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details:
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to those volunteering at this (or any of our previous or future) CMG Gives Back events!
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
