GSM Badminton Club is a weekly daytime badminton club based in Hackney. The club is aimed at players of all abilities but is not suitable for beginners. If you want to improve your badminton skills or just enjoy playing the game with like minded players in a friendly sporting environment, then this is the club for you to come and meet new badminton buddies as well as having fun and keeping fit. The club meet every Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm. Cost per session is £10 Good quality feather shuttles will be provided. Additional courts will be booked if needed i.e. if players exceed 8 or more. Friday night Brazilian zouk dance class followed by socialising, drinks and practice dance. A fun dance class 7.30-9 pm where you'll meet lots of first-time dancers and get to know everyone before dancing the night away and socialising. There is a discount for the beginner's class! No experience is required, and you don't need to bring a partner, as partners change regularly to enable everyone to get to know each other. Most people come by themselves and make new friends! After the class, the club night goes on till midnight with DJs and a bar. The venue is hired out exclusively for the people who come for dance classes and practice. The cost is usually £15 but if you're on the guestlist for meetup it's only £10 for the whole evening. Make sure your name is on the guest list!
