Agents just turned up the volume. But the discipline that made CD work in 2015: trunk-based development, fast feedback, sociable testing, feature flags, quality gates. These matter more in 2026, not less. This talk is about what to keep from the old playbook, what to upgrade, and what to stop pretending works. **Building a Feature Flag service** with [Zoltán Dávid - ConfigCat](https://www.linkedin.com/in/zoltan-david/) Everyone knows what a feature flag is. Far fewer know what it takes to build and run a feature flag service at scale. In this talk, we'll go behind the scenes of ConfigCat: the technical decisions, the scaling surprises, and the business lessons that came from serving billions of feature flag evaluations. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure.
