Agentic Scaling & Certificate Chaos
Agentic Scaling & Certificate Chaos
Join SnapSoft and the AWS Serverless community for a night of scaling and security. We’re diving into **multi-agent GenAI** workflows for massive **document generation** on **Bedrock**, paired with a high-stakes look at **enterprise PKI** and the hard lessons learned from intermediate **PCA expiration**. Pizza and beer included! 🍕🍺 **Agenda** 18:00 - Arrival 18:15 - Large-Scale GenAI Document Creation on AWS 18:50 - Tick-Tock: Lessons from a Near-Miss PCA Expiration 19:25 - Networking, **Pizza, Drinks** **Large-Scale GenAI Document Creation on AWS** This session showcases a real-world GenAI solution built on AWS, where Amazon Bedrock and other AWS managed services power a multi-agent workflow for document ingestion, retrieval, and large-scale automated document generation. One of the key outcomes was the ability to generate multiple hundreds of pages in one go, while maintaining structure, context, and quality across complex documents. We will explore the architectural decisions made, how we would improve it today. Along the way, we highlight key trade-offs, common anti-patterns, and emerging best practices for building scalable, future-proof GenAI solutions. **Tick-Tock: Lessons from a Near-Miss PCA Expiration** PKI is the silent engine of enterprise trust, but its complexity often stays hidden until something goes wrong. This session provides a practical overview of enterprise-scale PKI architecture before deconstructing a real-world crisis: an almost expired intermediate signing PCA. We’ll explore the cascading technical fallout across the infrastructure and share battle-tested strategies for maintaining crypto-agility. Join us to learn how to manage these critical lifecycles before the "silent" failures start. **SPEAKERS** **Patrick Nanys** Patrick is an ML Engineer focused on taking AI systems from idea to production. His background spans large-scale NLP infrastructure, LLM applications, agentic workflows, and custom ML systems, both in high-throughput enterprise environments and in client-facing AI projects. **Márton Varga** Márton is a Cloud Engineer at specializing in AWS architectures for large-scale enterprise clients. He has a track record of building complex hybrid networking solutions and robust landing zones using **Terraform and Terragrunt**. With a focus on infrastructure efficiency and security, Márton enjoys deconstructing the "silent" critical systems—like PKI—that keep the enterprise running.

Kis LLM-tan - nyelvi modellek működése es alkalmazása
💜 Csak nőknek szóló PyLadies esemény! 💜 Sziasztok PyLadiek! • 20:35 – 21:00 Záró gondolatok, elköszönés (A programterv változásának jogát fenntartjuk.) Csatlakozz a PyLadies slack csatornára! https://slackin.pyladies.com .. Üdvözlettel, a PyLadies Budapest szervezői 👩‍💻

\-\-\-\- Please note: This is a Hungarian-language event. The introductions at the beginning and the optional discussion at the end are held in Hungarian.

Identity game evening - self-improvement & learning about each other
Identity game evening - self-improvement & learning about each other
Get to know others and discover, reinforce & improve yourself through this psychological community game! **"Identity**" is a psychological self-improvement game that lets participants have a glimpse into themselves and each other from different aspects of life and providing opportunity to share relevant experiences and thoughts. You'll get a random simple task with every card you draw such as: **"Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.**" -> How could you use this insight? What does it say to you? How does it bring you forward? "**When did you last have me-time?** What did you do? What things do you usually do for your own joy?" "**Every ending opens up a new gate.**" -> Recall at least 2 painful stations in your life when something important for you ended! What good things could begin thanks to these endings? Substantial short talks in a friendly, respectful, non-judgemental (really: judgements, *even advices* are forbidden by the rules!) environment, while comfortably having a drink. Let others surprise you positively, learn about them, reflect on yourself internally and improve your personal life thanks to select short tasks that aim to bring you forward! **The game will be held in english!** The game only exists in hungarian version, so for instant translation of the cards, **Google Lens is recommended on your phone**! The event will be held in the "Másik Szoba" Café and Bar (part of the Élesztőház): [https://elesztohaz.hu/reszeink/masikszoba/](https://elesztohaz.hu/reszeink/masikszoba/)

Session #27 - Effective Altruism — Can we do Good, Better?
Session #27 - Effective Altruism — Can we do Good, Better?
*“We should use evidence and reason to do the most good.*” **William MacAskill - EA.** What if doing good wasn’t about intention… but about *optimization*? **(Event in english!)** In this session, we explore the philosophy of Effective Altruism (EA), a modern movement led by thinkers like William MacAskill, which argues that we should use reason, data, and careful prioritization to do the maximum amount of good possible. This raises some uncomfortable questions: Can morality be reduced to numbers and outcomes?Have we been donating to under-effective causes? Are we obliged to make more money so that we can donate more? We’ll examine key ideas behind EA: • Maximizing impact over good intentions • Choosing causes based on effectiveness • The ethics of “earning to give” • The growing focus on long-term future risks And we’ll challenge them through discussion. **Introduction of guests (15 minutes)** We start with a short introduction of the guests with the question: * Which do think is an effective charity to donate? **Questions (1 hour and 45 minutes)** 1. Utilitarianism. What it is, and why is it having a strong comeback. 2. Non-consequentialism vs consequentialism – which serves humanity better? 3. Is this EA a more rational moral system… or an inhuman one? 4. Would you rather save your friend, or 5 strangers far away? 5. Does it ignore emotions, relationships, and personal meaning? 6. Does the life of 3 different given people have the same worth? 7. Is saving more human lives the best measure of doing good? Even if the future would be more livable with less people (due to resource scarcity or other reasons)? 8. Who gets to decide what “doing the most good” or “more effective” really means? 9. Should plutocrats have all the authority about shaping the future? Or would there be better alternatives? 10. Longtermism: should positively influencing the long-term future be a key moral priority at all times? 11. EA and longtermism: are they securing a better and more fair future, or creating a way to a new dystopia? 12. How important is the association of a movement with a scandal? *** ### **RSVP:** Please confirm your attendance here on Meetup to save your space and if you cannot assist, yield your space to another person in the waiting list. We welcome donations from 1.000 HUF (min 400 HUF) to keep the costs of the meetup. **If you are looking to order food, or drink alcohol-free wine, you dont need to donate for the group.** Thank you!

CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective. This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly. Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.

Columbus Code & Coffee 86 @ Improving
Columbus Code & Coffee 86 @ Improving
Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. It's entirely up to you! **What to Expect at the Intro Circle** \~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~ Near the beginning of the event (1:30 pm), we do a standup: * Organizer announcements, updates, and logistics Round 1 - (7 secs max): * Your name * What you're working on * What you can help others with Round 2: * Community events you wanna plug. If none, that's cool too. Round 3: * Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool. After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized! Feel free to work alone, pair up, attend one of our workshops/presentations, or mingle!

Columbus Arduino Raspberry Pi Enthusiasts (CARPE) (Check Location)
Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration! This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.

Inside the Modern Threat Landscape: How Attackers Weaponize Trust
Inside the Modern Threat Landscape: How Attackers Weaponize Trust
What does a trojan look like when it has over 900k+ combined installs and a Forbes write-up? Exactly like a legitimate Chrome extension. This session presents a technical dissection of two Chrome extensions, each with over one million active installations — that functioned as trojans in production environments, evading detection while operating through entirely legitimate browser APIs. These were not obscure tools. They were widely trusted, actively recommended, and covered by mainstream press before their malicious behavior was fully understood. We will walk through the actual source code of both extensions, showing precisely how the malicious functionality was constructed, concealed, and executed at scale. This analysis anchors a broader examination of how modern compromises actually succeed. Drawing on aggregated real-world incident data, we identify the technique categories currently delivering the highest adversary return, and why they keep working. Spoiler: it's rarely a zero-day. It's trust. The Chrome extension deep-dive will cover: * Line-by-line source analysis of how malicious functionality was embedded within working, useful software * Which browser permission scopes were abused, and why a million users — and their IT teams — didn't see it coming * The behavioral and structural indicators that distinguish a trojan extension from a legitimate one, and how to operationalize detection around them This session closes with a practical defensive prioritization framework built around observed attacker behavior: which mitigations are measurably reducing risk in production environments, which are consuming budget without impact, and a scoring methodology your team and leadership can apply immediately. **Source material:** Primary analysis of extension source code, corroborated by reporting from Forbes and other established outlets. **What this is not:** A vendor pitch, a speculative threat narrative, or a surface-level breach retrospective. **Who should attend:** Security architects, AppSec and cloud security practitioners, blue team leads, threat hunters, browser security practitioners, and security leaders responsible for prioritizing risk and investment decisions.
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing. **SPEAKER BIO** Mosaic Syed is a Senior Data Engineering and Cloud Solutions Architect with over 20 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across global enterprise environments. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mosaic-basha-syed-92300856 **CALL FOR SPEAKERS** Learn more: [https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/](https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/) **THANK YOU** *VEEAM* for hosting our meetup!
