Full Moon - Pink Moon
Come and join us for a full Moon ceremony.
I will invite the spirits and guides to join us. We will have a comfortable meditation and some manifestations and intention setting for the new moon cycle.
We will participate in a healing journey. This is very powerful and quite healing. This month we will do a past life regression.
We will be sharing and discussing some thought-provoking questions. I recommend bringing a journal to record your thoughts.
We can share some stories around the fire and then I will close the ceremony.
Bring appropriate crystals that you would like charged. The best crystals to charge during a full moon are amethyst, smoky quartz, citrine, black selenite, and obsidian. We will be outside so please dress for the weather.
This is a laid-back event at our home, I hope that you can join us.
Howling at the moon is optional and encouraged.
Please enter the gate on the right of the house behind the green bug. We are on the patio in the back.
See you then!

Maundy Thursday: A New Thought Communion Experience
Maundy Thursday invites us into a sacred moment of remembrance, love, and spiritual connection.
In the Unity tradition, communion is a symbolic and inward experience—representing our conscious connection with the Divine and with one another. This evening honors the spirit of “The Last Supper” as a timeless invitation to live from love, humility, and oneness.
Join us for a peaceful and reflective service featuring a New Thought approach to communion, with symbolic bread and non-alcoholic wine. Together, we’ll pause, center ourselves, and reconnect with the deeper meaning of this holy time.
Whether you’re familiar with this tradition or experiencing it for the first time, you are warmly welcome.
You can also watch online through our website: www.unityoffairfax.org.
Read & Reflect: A Social Reading Circle.
Shared Pages, Shared Insights.
📚 Do you love reading, but wish you had a structure and a community to share your insights with?
Join our small circle of curious minds (just 4 members per gathering) as we come together for an hour of focused reading—in the calm setting of a library or the cozy atmosphere of a café.
Here’s how it works:
First part: Quiet reading on your own—bring a book you’re exploring, whether it’s philosophy, history, psychology, literature, or anything meaningful to you.
Second part: We regroup and each person shares key takeaways, insights, or questions sparked by their reading. This sparks a structured yet free-flowing conversation around ideas, perspectives, and personal reflections.
Why join?
Add structure to your reading habit.
Discover new books, authors, and ideas through others’ choices.
Build real connections by sharing and listening deeply.
Socialize around something meaningful instead of small talk.

Sweat Lodge Ceremony
*Required. Please read this description in its entirety. We will be splitting wood and raking. if you have any, please bring chainsaws, axes, rakes and safety items.*
Beloved Community,
You are warmly invited to join us for a sweat lodge ceremony. All are welcome who arrive with an open mind and a respectful heart. No prior experience is needed. We will begin with an introduction, review some songs, and create prayer ties before entering the lodge together.
**Preparation & Work Together**
An important part of the ceremony is caring for the land beforehand. Please come in work clothes and bring gloves. If you have tools such as a rake, chainsaw, weed whacker, or maul, feel free to bring them. If physical labor isn’t possible for you, there are always other meaningful ways to help. Time will be given to change into your sweat attire before the ceremony begins.
**About the Ceremony**
This sacred tradition is held in honor of the Lakota ways—for purification, renewal of life, and deep connection with Grandmother Earth and Spirit. We ask that you come with humility, leaving behind ego and unnecessary burdens. All are equal here. Please understand this is a time for community, and practicing opening our hearts. So there's no need to bring in other practices such as crystals, chanting, or energy healing. That way, it's just you coming into the lodge
There is no fee to attend. A donation bowl will be available for those who wish to help support the ceremony and upkeep of the grounds.
**Guidelines & Attire**
* Please bring 1–2 towels and wear appropriate clothing:
* Men: shorts
* Women: long skirt and a shirt covering the shoulders
* Bring a small tobacco offering for the firekeeper and intercessor
* Other contributions are appreciated, such as cotton cloth, tobacco, sage, sweat grass.
* At times, some may be asked to support or pray outside the lodge. One person will also be invited to serve as firekeeper. Participation as observer and supporter is always welcome.
**Ceremonial Meal**
After the sweat, we will share a potluck meal together. Please bring a dish to contribute. Paper goods are also appreciated.
**Location & Directions**
15406 Riding Stable Rd.
The property is at the end of a ½-mile driveway through the woods. You will cross a small stream. Please drive very slowly (under 10 MPH) to keep dust down and to respect our neighbors. Kindly do not stop to interact with the horses.
If this is your first time coming to a sweat lodge ceremony at our location, it is important that you arrive as close to the start time as possible. For all others, if you are not able to arrive by 2pm, you should first reach out to us to determine whether you should attend.
**Updates**
Please check our website *Real Eyes Meditation* or Meetup page for any updates. Ceremonies are held rain or shine.
With love and gratitude,
*Mitakuye Oyasin* (“All My Relations”)

Humanist Program
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online
