Sheung Wan pub crawl
Back after a 2 month long break! It's been nearly a year since the last Sheung Wan pub crawl. Trying out a different venue this time.
We will start at 7:00 from
**RichKat Craft Brewing**
[G/F, 238 Hollywood Rd, Sheung Wan](http://[https//www.google.com.hk/maps/place/RichKat+Craft+Brewing+%5D(https://www.google.com.hk/maps/place/RichKat+Craft+Brewing+)(Hollywood+Road)/@22.2858771,114.1446315,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x340401811e3ca445:0x60fad73c831763dd!8m2!3d22.2858771!4d114.1472064!16s%2Fg%2F11w4q226k_?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDgyOC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D)
This is the only place with food available. There are several food venues in the area as well if that's what you prefer. Please note that RichKat has several locations, be sure you are coming to the Sheung Wan location!
At around 8:30pm we will go to
**Craftissmo**
[Tai Ping Building, Shop D, G/F, 22-24A Tai Ping Shan St, Sheung Wan](https://www.google.com.hk/maps/place/CRAFTISSIMO+Sheung+Wan/@22.2846225,114.1434137,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x3404007eca507b89:0xac46e80915652061!8m2!3d22.2846226!4d114.1482846!16s%2Fg%2F11bwf7w122?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDgyOC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D)
This is a bottle shop and not a bar, but there is an really nice area just outside where we can loiter and drink.
At 10pm we will finish at
Out of the Brew
[3 Shin Hing St, Central](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Out+Of+The+Brew/@22.2840462,114.149657,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x340401592c06d881:0x8eef2de1032272ea!8m2!3d22.2840462!4d114.1522319!16s%2Fg%2F11nn0676k5?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDQyMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D)
First time we are coming here for a crawl. A bit of a walk from Craftissmo, they have good beer on tap and a decent selection in the fridge. And a nice area outside just for sitting around and drink.
Everyone will have individual bills. Credit cards accepted at all locations. Feel free to buy food from elsewhere in the area and bring it to the venue with the exception of RichKat. It would be bad manners to bring in outside food.
As per usual I will be wearing a [Snoo](https://www.reddit.com/r/plushies/comments/12pzy79/did_you_know_theres_a_snoo_plush/#lightbox) so I will be easy to spot. The weather this week is not too stable so please dress appropriately.
For people attending, please send me your whatsapp number so I can put you into the super secret elite whatsapp group.
Finally, if you have a good time please leave a good review for our venues. Good venues are closing left and right in HK and they need all the help they can get.

This is a sightseeing country biking tour that we'll stop to see rivers, farms, villages, old churches and temples.
Kam Tin(錦田) and Yuen Long have the biggest farmlands and villages areas in Hong Kong. It's easy to visit these country areas on bicycles on the biking lanes and roads with few cars passing.
In the farmland, some country lanes are narrow and winding, so you need to be good in controlling your bike. Most of the roads are flat and well paved.
\*You can rent bikes at $50 or bring your own bike. Bring a spared tyre if you bring your own bike.
We'll have lunch in a village restaurant.
- Wear a helmet and gloves, bring a hat, sun screen and mosquito repellent.
if any emergency, please call Benny 92100999 or Terence 54081914.

Circumnavigate Cheung Chau
Where and when:
At our base at the Windsurfing centre on Kwun Yam Wan Beach at 10am.
Who can join: Open to members who have attended the part A and B sessions, our Kayaking Essentials or something similar. The route may take us through some choppy waters so you need to be a confident paddler.
Route:
We will paddle around the entire island, most probably heading north to begin with and heading to one of the southwesterly beaches for a late lunch.
The journey is anywhere from 10 to 15 kms depending on how much we wish to explore the small nooks and crannies of the coastline.
The seas around Cheung Chau, in parts, can be quite rough if the wind picks up so please only sign up for this paddle if you are confident paddling in rough waters.
What to bring:
Wet shoes (closed-toed shoes that will get wet and don't come off when you swim, NO FLIP FLOPS).
Your own lunch and snacks, since there is no place to buy food.
Protection from heat stroke and sunburn: hat, protective clothing, 50+ sunscreen, sunglasses.
At least 3 liters of water. Please use reusable bottles to minimize plastic waste.
As always, our 48 hour cancellation policy applies, however if you have a valid emergency please contact me asap.
Please arrive with HKD 300 in cash as payment for the hire of equipment used in this training session. Please also bring the following -
- Sturdy closed-toed shoes that can get wet that will be worn at all times throughout the training session (Crocs DO NOT qualify. Old sneakers/trainers are OK. NO flip flops).
- A packed lunch or money for a lunch.
- A refillable water bottle (there is clean, drinkable tap water at the kayak base). We strongly discourage the use of packaged water in disposable bottles (I.e. Bonaqua, Evian, etc)
- Swimwear, hat, sunglasses and sun protection (long sleeve rash guard or UV resistant shirt highly recommended).
- Optional: change of clothes & towel for post-session shower
Expect the training to last until about 4pm which means you will likely be ready to go by 5pm after the gear had been washed and stored which you will need to help with.
Yoga & Pilates session
Yoga and Pilates are the good exercises to let you to keep fit, enhance the ability of core muscle to perform well in sports and reduce the risk of getting injury. Finally, we'll do the full body stretching after the exercises to relax.

Mindful Photography Walk – A Gentle Pause in Nature
Join me for a small, mindful photography walk in nature. (**NOTE Time is 9:00 AM EST(Meetup is having technical Issue))**
This is a slow, intentional gathering — not focused on fitness or perfect photography — but on simply pausing, observing, and being present.
We’ll walk at a gentle pace, with moments of quiet, and a few light prompts to help you notice details you might normally miss.
📷 You don’t need any photography experience — a phone camera is enough.
This is also not a business networking event. It’s a calm space to connect with nature and, if it feels natural, with like-minded people.
🌿 What to expect:
• A slow-paced, relaxed walk
• Moments of silence and observation
• Simple reflection prompts
📍 Location: [ Red Trabue Nature Preserve]
⏱ Duration: \~60 minutes
This is a small, initial gathering as I begin creating this space through WellGratiVibes — a blend of mindfulness, nature, and quiet connection.
If this resonates with you, you’re welcome to join.
Griggs Reservoir Walk: Wyandot Park to Griggs Dam and Back
We'll meet at Wyandot Park, cross Riverside Dr at Lane Rd, then walk south along the water to Griggs Park and back — around 5 miles total.
A scenic out-and-back route along the Scioto River. One of the nicer stretches of trail in Columbus.
Parking is available at Wyandot Park, off Lane Rd.
Here's an overview of the route on Google Maps:

See you there.
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.
*For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)*
**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
**FAQ**
* Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk!
* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.
* We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space.
* Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know.
* Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic!
**LOGISTICS**
* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.
* Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details.
* If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋
