For June, we'll be jetting off to Italy for a nightmare in translation with 20 Days of Turin by Giorgio De Maria. The famous BUDWEISER CLYDESDALES are here! They'll be staying at Frying Pan Farm for a few weeks and performing in DC's July 4th parade. Frying Pan is the oldest working farm in Fairfax County featuring pigs, lambs, cows, horses, chickens and turkeys. The meeting house c. 1791 was used for town meetings and religious services, a Civil War Hospital and is on the National Historic Register. Another fun fact: for over a decade the Thanksgiving turkeys granted presidential pardons were sent to Frying Pan Park in Herndon to live on in peace. Frying Pan is also home to Spirit Equestrian Therapeutic Riding. \*Please note that although there's a very good chance, there's no guarantee that we will see the horses outside. They do have windows in the barn where they're staying. We will walk through the farm to see the animals, take the nature trails behind the farm with a small waterfall, then walk on neighborhood trails to Horsepen Run Stream Valley Park. **HIKE:** 5 mile flat loop hike on dirt and paved trails with some neighborhood sidewalks and street crossings at the light. There is a pylon water crossing. Pace is 2.5-3 mph while moving. Please make sure you are comfortable with this moderate to brisk pace. **MEET:** Frying Pan Farm Park Visitor Center, 2739 West Ox Rd, Herndon. Please arrive by 8:15am at the Visitor Center parking lot so we can check everyone in and start hiking at 8:30am. When the wizard Yrdris made a deal with a devil to take possession of an infernal tower spun from shadow in exchange for his eternal soul, he expected to find a way around the contract before his demise. He was wrong. Upon his death, the tower was whisked away to Hell along with everything inside. The problem: there were four beings still within who were, for various reasons, considered the wizard’s property, and thus now Hell’s. However, if they can help find the wizard’s soul, which is somewhere in the tower, they can return home! Things Go to Hell is a short adventure for 7th-level Pathfinder characters where they take on the role of forgotten “property” of a deceased wizard caught up in the red tape of an infernal contract. The four pregenerated characters included in this adventure let you jump right into this single-session adventure!

Capoeira (capo-way-ra) is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that is unlike any other martial art. Capoeira incorporates flowing movements with kicks, dodges, and some acrobatics. It is often mistaken for a dance for those reasons. Since it’s origins in the 17th century, it has evolved from a secret fighting practice into an art emphasizing self-expression and community celebration. It is great for the body and mind! In addition to gaining strength and flexibility in class, students learn about Brazilian culture, history, and language (Portuguese). On November 26, 2014 capoeira was granted a special protected status as "intangible cultural heritage” by UNESCO. No need to have a Capoeira background to join this class, just an open mind to try out a new way to move! Beginners welcome. **Please reserve your spot at www.piesfitnessyoga.com**. We'll plan to head back to the dock around noon so there's time for everyone to pack up and head to lunch (we'd love for you to join us for lunch, but if you can only come for the paddle, that's ok too). We'll start from the Bladensburg Waterfront Park in Hyattsville, MD. We'll meet at the kayak dock near the park office. The park rents out kayaks and canoes if you need one (advanced [sign up online](https://www.pgparks.com/parks_trails/bladensburg-waterfront-park) is recommended). We'll depart promptly at 10am and head south on the river towards DC, picking up trash as we go along. We'll plan to travel around 1-2 miles round trip. Please plan to carry all trash you pick up with you on/in your kayak/canoe/paddleboard. This stretch of the river is quite calm, though the strength and direction of the current depends on the tides. Please bring your own: - Kayak/canoe/paddleboard (or rent one at the park) - Personal flotation device (PFD) (or rent one at the park) - Dry bag for any personal items - Plenty of drinking water - Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc - Trash pickup tools (grabber, net, etc) - Rubber gloves (the Anacostia is not yet swimmable; we recommend gloves for handling river trash) We'll bring the trash bags, and we'll be able to leave all the trash with the park authorities at the end of our trip. Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
