This route combines riverside trails, greenery, and one of Toronto’s most underrated hidden gems: James Gardens. James Gardens is one of those places that quietly surprises people — flower beds, stone pathways, little bridges, mature trees, and spaces that feel far away from the city even though you’re still in Toronto. This is not a fast-paced hike. **Don Montgomery Arena** is located on 2467 Eglinton Ave. East, a few minutes east of Kennedy Subway station. Nearest intersection is Kennedy and Eglinton. Bring your skates, there are NO skate rentals. This is an indoor rink is pretty cold, so dress accordingly. Look for me in a beigejacket and glasses. Amenities: Change room and Washroom available. TTC directions: Closest subway is Kennedy station - you can walk a few minutes east on Eglington ave. Use Midland ave and Benjamin blvd entrance to parking area for Don Montgomery Community Centre arena. Please update your RSVP to Not Going if you cannot make it.
