Supporting mum's meet-up
Supporting mum's meet-up
We'd be hosting a meet-up with the nursery assistant at a coffee shop with a children’s play area with a relaxed and supportive environment for discussion. The informal setting allows moms and the nursery assistant to talk comfortably about the child’s progress while the children played safely nearby. During the meeting, we'll be listening carefully to the conversation and making sure mums understand the information being shared about the child’s development, behaviour, and learning. If anything is unclear, you can politely ask for clarification so moms feel confident and informed. We also help keep the conversation focused on the child’s wellbeing and how both the nursery and home could support their development. The play area allowed the children to stay engaged and entertained, which helped the adults talk without too many interruptions. We'll also keep an eye on the children while they played so my mum could concentrate on the discussion. Overall, our role is to support communication, help moms feel comfortable asking questions, and ensure that the meeting remained positive and focused on supporting the child’s growth and learning.
