From RAG to Agents: What Every Product Leader Needs to Know
**Special thanks to [Productside](https://productside.com) for hosting!**
AI-powered products are going through a major shift. We started with copilots and chatbots, moved to Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)-based systems that retrieve and generate answers, and now we are entering the era of agentic AI - systems that can reason, plan, and take action on their own.
For product leaders, this changes the game. It impacts how we build roadmaps, define success metrics, design user experiences, and think about trust and governance. This talk breaks down the evolution from RAG to agents in plain terms, explores what it means for product strategy, and shares practical takeaways PMs can apply to their own products and teams.
**Agenda:**
6:00 - 6:30: Networking
6:30 - 7:30: Talk
Wells Branch Trail
Let's hike Wells Branch Trail and walk for 1.5 hours for a total of 4.3 miles. This greenbelt trail is a well-maintained, mostly flat gravel path -- no hiking boots required, but do use your best judgment. Along the way, we’ll pass through several underground tunnels and cross a couple of streets without dedicated pedestrian lights, so we’ll pause to regroup and cross safely together. The trail is mostly shaded and passes through several parks, some with path lighting. Please bring at least 2 liters of water. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the trail!
Here is some more info located below:
https://wellsbranchmud.com/parks-a-recreation/trails-1
http://www.texashiking.com/Locations/ShowLocation.aspx?LocationID=1812
If you need to contact me, my phone number is 281-876-7746.
We’ll meet at the Lake of Wells Branch sign on Mallard Green Ln -- there’s plenty of street parking available at that spot. If your GPS routes you to Mills Pond park entrance instead, there’s a small parking lot there with limited spaces. It’s just a short walk from the Lake of Wells Branch meeting point, so feel free to park there if that’s more convenient.
Please note this event is also posted on [Hiking, Walking and Socializing](https://www.meetup.com/hiking-walking-and-socializing/).
NOTE: In the event of bad weather, I will issue a cancellation notice at least one hour prior to the event's start time.
Please note meetup has had a massive increase in price and has nearly doubled the fee to organize clubs. If you like the club and want to donate, you can pay Kevin by Venmo [here](https://venmo.com/u/Kevin-Coe-9).
Finally, we recommend that you review information on the trail and that you come prepared for the hike (e.g., bring at least two liters of water, wear appropriate footwear such as hiking boots, and a brimmed hat.) All attendees are solely responsible for their own health and safety.
By RSVPing for this event, you are agreeing that you are taking sole responsibility for your own health and safety and, if any, your guests' health and safety. If you or your guests are not willing or are unable to take responsibility for your own health and safety, do not RSVP for this event.

Lake Georgetown Camping Weekend
Hey Landbounder! Join us for a camping weekend at Lake Georgetown. Good food, good company, and nothing but open skies. Leave the city behind and come hang with the crew.
**General Plan**
**Friday, May 1**
Arrive around 3 PM (or whenever works for you), set up camp, grill, hang out.
**Saturday, May 2**
More of the same. Hikes nearby if you're into that, otherwise just camp life. Grill again Saturday night.
**Sunday, May 3**
Pack out around noon and head home.
**Cost**
**$30 per person**, covers the full stay (May 1st-3rd). Parking is not included. You're responsible for any parking fees on your end.
Payment details will be sent after your RSVP is confirmed.
**Who's Invited**
This is a closed event. You're good if I've interacted with you before, or someone already RSVP'd can vouch for you. No prior connection and no voucher means no approval.
RSVP if you're interested. I'll follow up to confirm your spot.
**FAQ**
**How many people can come?**
The campsite holds 6. Spots are first come, first served by RSVP.
**What's the RSVP deadline?**
Tuesday April 28 by 3 PM. No exceptions. Nobody joins after that cutoff, even if spots are still open.
**Can I bring a +1?**
Not by default. If spots remain after the RSVP window closes, those may open for +1s. Don't assume until I confirm.
**What if more than 8 people want to go?**
If demand is high enough, additional campsites are possible. Overflow costs split among whoever needs them.
**Is the $30 refundable?**
No. If you pay and can't make it, a couple of options:
• Sell or gift your spot to someone I've already met
• Consider it a donation to Landbound. It goes toward making the group better
If the event is cancelled on my end, you'll receive a full refund.
Open Play Pickleball - all levels
Casual open play pickleball for all levels, including beginners.
Equipment: You will need to purchase a paddle, or you can rent one from the front desk. We play with “outdoor” balls. Usually our group has some but it’s a good idea to bring them just in case. I highly recommend wearing a good quality court shoe and comfortable athletic wear.
Players **Must*** use this link to register:
https://apexpbclubs.podplay.app/community/events/6c648d33-7d0c-4606-9adb-fda5ba9e1637
Spots are limited so sign up early. Max of 30 people (via Apex link).
Cost is $12 per person ($10.80 for Apex members).
Apex is an indoor facility with a pro shop and restaurant/bar on site. You do not need to be a member to play.
The purpose of this group is to enjoy the game and introduce new people to the pickleball community. By signing up you agree to be willing to play with people who are at different skill and experience levels, and show kindness and respect to all players at all times.

Central Ohio Real Estate Investing Expo
(Note: RSVPing here on meetup does NOT reserve your seat. To do that, you’ll need to register at our website, [HERE](https://www.coreerocks.com/Events.aspx?ID=2026-Central-Ohio-Real-Estate-Investing-Expo-14-5-5-2026).)
We’re serious about helping you succeed in real estate.
That means not just teaching you—but putting you in the room with the people who help you get deals done.
Every deal depends on people.
The agent or wholesaler.
The lender.
The contractor.
The title company.
The insurance agent.
The problem is that most investors meet those people slowly.
This event fixes that.
One room full of:
• Lenders
• Contractors
• Title companies
• Insurance providers
• Property managers
• And active local investors
A place where you can:
• Build your team
• Find funding
• Solve real problems
• Make connections that lead to deals
If you’re serious about real estate, this is a smart room to be in.
Members and non-members at any level of knowledge and experience are welcome.
This event is free.

Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
Choose Your Movie: THE SHEEP DETECTIVES vs HOKUM at Cinemark Stoneridge!
Join us as we get together to see your choice of two VERY different movies – one sweet and wholesome – the other a terrifying folklore horror! Option 1 is the fun whodunnit-action-comedy-mystery led by Hugh Jackman, THE SHEEP DETECTIVES! Option 2 is the top-reviewed supernatural-horror-thriller starring Adam Scott, HOKUM! Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event:
THE SHEEP DETECTIVES: Every night a shepherd reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand. When he is found dead, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it. The film is directed by Kyle Balda and take a look at this ensemble cast: Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau and Emma Thompson and the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O'Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein and Rhys Darby. TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyZI5oM6hWk
HOKUM: In this film, a horror writer visits an Irish inn to scatter his parents' ashes, unaware the property is said to be haunted by a witch. It is written/directed by Damian McCarthy stars Adam Scott, Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh and Austin Amelio. Hokum premiered to rave reviews at this year’s SXSW Festival and is being release by Neon. It is earning a stellar 97% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which calls it, “A classic haunted house story enriched with atmospheric folklore and perfectly-timed shocks!” TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVCIK_MPyhc
PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing of both films and will meet inside the theater lobby about 20 minutes before showtime. If the showtimes work out, we’ll try to get both groups together for a bite before the shows! Complete details and showtime will be confirmed/announced as the date gets closer.
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
