100(-ish) Ornithopters Cube Draft in Arlington! (Free!)
100(-ish) Ornithopters Cube Draft in Arlington! (Free!)
James is out of town this week, so let's draft my variant of the famed 100 Ornithopters cube, featured in [this video by Rhystic Studies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pddm1gbBuWE). My list is slightly different, but keeps the same design philosophies, although there might not be exactly 100 Ornithopters. The cube has no creature tokens, no creature lands, and no ways to kill your opponent without the card having something to do with controlling or having Ornithopters. My cube list is below: [https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/100ishornithopters](https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/100ishornithopters) The event will take place at a **NEW LOCATION** in Arlington, near Ballston Quarter, and the Ballston metro, accessible through the Orange and Silver lines! Feel free to contact me through Meetup or call me at 9194578870 if you have any questions about getting to the location. **CONDUCT POLICY** We cultivate a safe, friendly atmosphere. Please keep other's feelings close to mind. Derogatory comments of any kind are unacceptable, as is behavior that may make others uncomfortable, such as rage-quitting. If the stresses of the game are getting to you, we encourage you to politely sit out for a while. Thank you!

POLYGLOTS 'Language Exchange' HAPPY HOUR
POLYGLOTS 'Language Exchange' HAPPY HOUR
Let us meet up for a language exchange. We will give out name tags. You write your name and what language you speak and what language you would like to exchange. All languages are welcome! However we don't guarantee the availability of a partner in that particular language, you would like to exchange. This is the biggest language exchange event in the area, attended by hundreds. MISS IT NOT! Rules to abide : 1. Event is free and 21+ (bring ID). 2. Be respectful to your counterparts and give them a chance to exchange with others as well. 3. We all are native speakers of one or two languages and be willing to help others and try to accommodate as much as possible. 4. If you don't speak the other person's required language, LEAVE THEM ALONE. 5. Rude or aggressive members are removed from the group at an organizers discretion. 6. This is a face-to-face language exchange event. DO NOT try to arrange an online meeting, by using the comment box or direct message. You will be REMOVED! 7. Most of our members complained about people writing in the comment box. Since it sends notification to all attendees. If you have any questions, send a message to the organizers. Don't write in the comment box. 8. We have ZERO TOLERANCE for solicitation. We don't allow anyone to run their own agenda at the Event. If you are interested to promote/sponsor/collaborate; contact us via (info@merevents.com). 9. When you get there, we will greet you and take you to your respective group. 10. Don't be shy of your local languages. We have diplomates assigned to different countries, who would love to practice your languages. METRO & PARKING INFO Closest Metro Station is U Street Cardozo (take 13th St. Exit). Also take into consideration Metro's truck work and allow enough time for your ride. Check it on http://www.wmata.com/ and plan accordingly. Street parking might be a challenge. However, if you plan to drive, there is a parking garage, Franklin D. Reeves Center Garage, 2000 14th Street NW, Washington DC). They are open up until 3 am and it costs $ 15 plus tax. Tel :202-265-0010. But, the event involves drinking and we highly recommend a taxi or a shared ride service. DRINK RESPONSIBLY.

AI Your Way: MCPs vs Skills vs SubAgents ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿš€ - Sam Basu
AI Your Way: MCPs vs Skills vs SubAgents ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿš€ - Sam Basu
SAM BASU IN-PERSON; NOTE: THIS IS THU, NOT TUE AS NORMAL Code is cheap, but software is expensive. Modern AI is a big opportunity to streamline and automate developer workflows for better productivity. There are some challenges though โ€“ AI Models often lack knowledge and AI Agents need expertise/guidance to reliably pull off complex workflows. Context is everything for modern AI and you can bring it. Model Context Protocol (MCP) aims to provide a standardized way to connect AI Agents to different data sources, tools and non-public information - the point is to provide deeply contextual information/expertise to AI. Skills are higher-level behaviors and instructional guardrails, that define how and when AI Agents should leverage tools to accomplish something meaningful. Subagents in AI are specialized, task-focused agents designed to handle specific, well-defined tasks within a larger AI system. In terms of the food industry: AI Agent = Chef ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ MCP Tools = Raw Ingredients ๐Ÿฅ” ๐Ÿฅฉ Skills = Recipe Cards ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿ“‡ SubAgents = Sous Chef ๐Ÿ”ช ๐Ÿณ Loops = Door Watcher ๐Ÿ’‚๐Ÿ‘€ Developer = Restaurant Owner ๐Ÿ‘‘. So, what should developers use to bring context and guardrails to make AI work their way? Well, it depends and sometimes, the answer might be whatever combination makes developers most productive. With official SDKs and well-thought-out guidance, it is a breeze to work with MCPs, Skills or SubAgents. Developers could bring their own data, APIs, services, coding patterns and structured guidance to make AI Agents work their way. And AI Agentic workflows work the same way in IDEs or Terminals, paving the way autonomous ways of getting work done with AI. With contextual expertise to light up unique coding workflows, AI Agents can make developers ultra productive โ€“ upwards and onwards.
