Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games.
Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it.
We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different.
Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before.
Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part!
Who knew getting fit could be this fun?
**TO BOOK**:
It's essential that you book onto sessions via our website, using the link below; due to restrictions on games and preparation times we cannot accept walk-ins, or late arrivals.

Master Composition & Framing: Humans In Geometry
**Enhance Your Compositions With Fine Art Photography**
This is a fine art street photography workshop, covering enhancing composition skills, visualising a scene before it happens and being more creative as a photographer. We will use architecture, interiors, light, lines, frames or shapes as your urban canvas to compose people in a creative way.
The objective: Don’t look for people, look for scenes first! Then wait for the 'right' person to make that scene complete. This street photography technique is called 'fishing'.
The focus of this session is learning how to see and build strong compositions using what’s already there rather rather than trying to 'hunt' interesting characters and candid one off moments.
We will do silhouetting, leading lines, sub framing, reflections and much more, and how to use the best available light.
I'll give you composition tips before and throughout the session, along with visual challenges as you shoot. We will have some stop off points where I show photos taken at that scene on my iPad for inspiration. This is where I will share my approach and my vision on how I work a scene.
This is a slower, more relaxed way of working — you’re not rushing to catch a candid moment or worrying about being seen by your target subjects, but learning how to recognise when a scene already has potential and how to refine it through framing, positioning, timing and patience. Instead of focusing on individuals, the emphasis is on building strong framed scenes and allowing people to naturally become part of the composition.
We will explore areas around the Square Mile (City of London), including Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Bank, St. Paul’s.
\*\*
**What You Will Learn**
* **Seeing Strong Compositions:** Learn how to identify balanced scenes, leading lines, layers, and natural frames in the street.
* **Framing a Subject:** Understand how to place people within the environment to create stronger visual impact.
* **Using the Environment:** Work with backgrounds, architecture, and street elements to structure your images.
* **Simplifying a Scene:** Learn how to remove distractions and focus on what matters in the frame.
* **Patience in Practice:** Learn how to wait for elements to align within a composition.
***
**What to Bring**
* **Camera Kit:** Any camera can be used for the workshop (DSLR, mirrorless, film and phone). Best lens is wide like a 23mm, 35mm prime sensor, or a zoom like a 18-55mm (crop sensor), 23mm- 70mm f (full frame). No tripod is needed.
**Quick tip:** Set your camera to black & white (B&W) / monochrome LCD preview if you know how. Helpful, not essential.
***
**Event Info**
* **Duration:** 3 hours
* **Group Size:** Max 5
* **Meeting Location:** Liverpool Street, exact spot provided after booking
***
**PAYMENT OPTIONS**
* RSVP via Meetup (standard fee applies)

Regents Park Rounders and Social/Board Games
**Come join us for some fun in the park**
This is a weekly social park gathering with optional sports and board / social games.
2pm Rounders
3:30pm Social/Board games in the park- please sign up separately [HERE](https://www.meetup.com/games-friends/)[.](https://meetu.ps/e/PfHPb/z45zT/i)
**How to play rounders**
Not played rounders before? It's a traditional English sport for everyone, even the unsporty. Here's a video of us playing: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6Bya3T5W3k](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6Bya3T5W3k)
Rounders is a bat and ball game similar to baseball played by two teams. Your team will be either fielding or batting before swapping after the innings. When batting, the aim is to hit the ball, then try and run around the four posts. Your team gets a rounder if you make it round the four posts without stopping or getting out. You are out if when you hit the ball someone catches the ball before it reaches the ground or someone stumps a post before you get there.
The rules will be explained at the beginning of each meetup with a practice round at the beginning. We play a slightly modified version of the official rules where if you are out, it's not game over for you. Your team will lose a life instead. This will give everyone multiple opportunities to bat.
**It's very simple to pick up and the ball we use is very soft. We are very beginner friendly and the focus is on having fun rather than being competitive**. We attract attendees of all ages and sporting level. You are welcome to come and watch only too. We usually have a few people who do so while having a picnic and enjoying the park.
**Come and meet us**
Meet at 2pm in Regents Park. Here is the map of where we will be playing in the park (Cumberland Green):

You can also find us around here:
[https://what3words.com/swim.jolly.youth](https://what3words.com/swim.jolly.youth) (just look out for our white rounders bases (long, white sticks) and you can usually spot us.
Please feel free to bring food and drinks.
The main rounders game will finish at 3:30pm and this is followed by social/board games or beginner friendly mixed gender football.
**Social/Board Games**
Please check out our [separate meetup event](https://www.meetup.com/games-friends/) for details and sign up there!
**Football**
For mixed gender football we aim to have roughly equal numbers of men and women and 3 ability levels (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). There may be limited spaces for men for football as we are always oversubscribed.
**Free or play for charity**
Our Sunday social and rounders events are free for everyone. The organisers volunteer their time and fund for the equipment, public liability insurance, marketing and meetup costs to make this happen. We would like our events to raise awareness and money for worthwhile charities.
If you appreciate our events, please consider making a donation on our fundraising page to our supported charity, War Child. To donate and for more info, please visit: [https://www.justgiving.com/page/social-sports-mix-warchild](https://www.justgiving.com/page/social-sports-mix-warchild)
We will also promote fundraising pages suggested or owned by our attendees. Get in touch if you are attending and also charity fundraising.

• Attend orientation in advance.
• At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.
• Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM.
• Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895).
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
