Young Professionals Social Club: Nationals Home Game Socials (20s & 30s) ​Are you in your 20s or 30s looking to expand your social circle, grab a drink, and catch some live baseball without breaking the bank? This is the group for you! ​We are a vibrant community of local young professionals who meet up for every single Nats home game. Whether you are a die-hard baseball fan or just in it for the social scene, you’ll fit right in. If the Nats are playing at home, we are there! ​What We Are About ​Our events focus on high-energy, low-stress environments. We love utilizing standing room only tickets and affordable season passes to keep things budget-friendly, but regular ticket holders are always welcome! ​Standing room areas (like the outfield bars and concourse decks) give us the freedom to move around, mingle, and actually talk to each other—no being stuck in a single stadium seat all night. ​Every Home Game: No guessing when the next meetup is. If there is a game at the stadium, we are gathering. ​Socialize: Meet new friends, network with fellow local professionals, and find your crowd. ​Eat & Drink: We always kick things off with pre-game drinks or hang out at the stadium's best social spaces. ​Zero Pressure: You don’t need to be a baseball expert. We host a games party on the first Friday of each month (with occasional exceptions). We love Eurogames and have dozens. Guests often bring more. We play a variety of games, ranging in complexity from Ticket to Ride to Terraforming Mars and beyond. Ordinary drinks and snacks will be available. RSVPs will cose at 11 pm the day before the party. Dogs: We have two of our own and sometimes have others in foster care. People who do not like dogs may play at tables in the basement while the dogs stay upstairs.

While we do aim to play seriously and challenge ourselves, the focus is more on growth and enjoyment than simply winning at all costs. That’s why the title doesn’t include “competitive” or “social”—we want a healthy mix of both. This is a space where you won’t be judged for making mistakes, ***but we do expect you to listen to the organizer if they make suggestions or adjustments***. We also expect a mindset geared toward learning and getting better over time. This will be a relaxed patio social for neurodivergent adults (most will be 20s/30s) focused on conversation and meeting new people through a low-key activity. Participate in our “Community Lore” activity — a social scavenger hunt-style game designed to make mingling feel easier and spark better conversation. Before the event, attendees will submit a few fun facts, unusual skills, niche interests, and/or random details about themselves. We use these anonymous submissions to create the activity cards. When guests arrive, anyone who wants to participate will receive a card featuring fun facts submitted by other attendees. As you mingle throughout the evening, you’ll try to figure out which person matches each item on your card. We’ll have reserved patio seating, casual games, complimentary appetizers, and drinks available for the group. Alcoholic beverages and additional food or entrees can be purchased individually. Arkham Horror Third Edition is a cooperative board game for one to six players who take on the roles of investigators trying to rid the world of eldritch beings known as Ancient Ones. Based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, players will have to gather clues, defeat terrifying monsters, and find tools and allies if they are to stand any chance of defeating the creatures that dwell just beyond the veil of our reality.

Come out to the Reston Community Center and play some games! Party games? Strategy games? Tabletop role-playing games? This massive space can accommodate games for every interest. While the event starts at 9am, feel free to roll in whenever you are able! If you have games to bring that you'd like to share or run, please do! There will be special events mentioned as time goes on. So far we have confirmed Blood on the Clocktower An Escape Room TTRPGs Park anywhere in the parking lot. The Community Center building is located directly behind Ledo Pizza. Walk straight back to the main room once you enter the building. There is free parking and free WiFi at this location. Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated, but not required. I just got mine. I don't want to get any of my friends sick! I will, however, be screening for a standard set of COVID symptoms. If you are showing any symptoms that could make people nervous, please postpone coming to the meetup till you're over it. While sneezing is not a COVID symptom, I think folks would rather not risk getting even a cold right now, so again please don't show up if this is the case, even if you're sure it is just an allergy. On the other hand, no masks are required, although feel free if it'd make you more comfortable. General day of games! Whatever folks feel like playing. Bring your own or learn a new one! If you want to play a longer game, you might want to propose it on the meetup discussion to judge interest. I'll have snacks and soda on hand. Additional snacks or soda welcome. We usually order out for dinner and then continue on till 10pm. The games we usually play tend towards those requiring more thinking than typical family or party games and they are usually in the 2-4 hour range. Photos from past meet ups can give you a sense of them. We do sometimes play lighter games though.

We will be playing two games of Puerto Rico with up 4 players each. All experience levels welcome. Expect the game teach to start promptly within the first 10 minutes.
