In ***Il Vecchio***, players compete as influential Florentine families trying to gain prestige and power across Renaissance Italy. Each turn, you place family members on the map to travel, study, and influence cities, while carefully managing resources and timing. The game blends route-building, area influence, and action selection, with players earning points through strategic positioning and long-term planning. It’s thoughtful and competitive, rewarding both tactical decisions and clever efficiency. We only have one copy of ***Il Vecchio***, which plays 4 players. If you have a copy, let us know. Otherwise, depending on the number of people that sign up, we will play one or more other Rüdiger Dorn games.

Grab a game or bring your own, this event is open play. Whether it is chucking dice, full of traitors, laying tiles, or only cards involved, it doesn't matter; as long as it is a fun game, let's get it to the table and play it. The library will have games available to play but as always, you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own games. So leave a comment about what you are bringing! But be ready to teach your games. The library is located within walking distance of the Silver Spring Metro stop and there is a parking garage across the street. **NTBG** *is a safe environment for all to have fun. Let's play monopoly in the open area called "The Landing" at the Crystal City Shops. The Landing is right at the Crystal City metro stop and, if you're driving, there is free parking [on weekdays after 4pm and weekends] in the garage. See below for more details. With many tables for games and nearby eateries in the mall, it is a fantastic location for playing board games. We'll be starting at 3:00 pm, but feel free to wander in whenever you'd like.Please RSVP to play. If you'd like to start earlier, feel free to mention that in the comment section. If everyone is already in the middle of games when you arrive, please don't hesitate to pull up a chair and watch a game in progress. We will play a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 people at each table. This is a friendly group of competitive and non competitive players and our different backgrounds and different experiences of Monopoly make for interesting conversation during the games. Our first One-Shot for the Olney area! Redux! On the misty banks of Daggerford, a celebration is underway, but when lanterns meant to honor the dead begin returning from the river, something stirs beneath the surface. The influence of Umberlee rises with the tide, threatening to drag the living down with it, leaving your party to uncover the truth, break the ritual, and stop the growing disaster before the river claims the town. Andy will be DMing a 3 hour one shot set in the Forbidden Realms. We welcome players of all skill levels. Character sheets and light fare will be provided. Paid patreon members will have first dibs on spots. We will be hosting the same one-shot on Friday, May 29 so either sign up for this one or that one! No need to sign up for both as they will be the same story.

We play a variety of games with a focus on high interaction Euros. Events will start with quick games while people arrive and eat lunch. We will start longer games between 1:30pm and 2pm.
