For those 55 and over who play or would like to play or learn board or card games. Timing: Friday July 3, 2026, 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. Feel free to arrive anytime within this window. Location: Braddock District Supervisor's Office. The address is 9002 Burke Lake Road, Burke, VA 22015. It's in the same building as the Kings Park Library, but follow the signs around the back to the Braddock District Supervisor's Office. Joyce and I will provide light snacks and refreshments. If desired, you are welcome to bring your own food/drink to supplement ours. You may bring your own favorite board games or cards. Young Professionals Social Club: Nationals Home Game Socials (20s & 30s) ​Are you in your 20s or 30s looking to expand your social circle, grab a drink, and catch some live baseball without breaking the bank? We host a games party on the first Friday of each month (with occasional exceptions). We love Eurogames and have dozens. Guests often bring more. We play a variety of games, ranging in complexity from Ticket to Ride to Terraforming Mars and beyond. Ordinary drinks and snacks will be available. RSVPs will cose at 11 pm the day before the party. Dogs: We have two of our own and sometimes have others in foster care. People who do not like dogs may play at tables in the basement while the dogs stay upstairs.

*Betrayal at House on the Hill* is a popular horror-themed board game where 3-6 players explore a haunted mansion, building the map as they go, until a "Haunt" event turns one player into a traitor, flipping the game from cooperative to asymmetric, one-vs-many gameplay with different win conditions for the traitor and heroes. The current version is the 3rd Edition, featuring updated art, characters, and rules for 50 different scenarios (Haunts).

We do not serve food. Note that you can bring drinks and food, but plan to leave the place tidy. Some of us may also get food together afterwards. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Service Center has an attached garage, which is accessible on Edgemoor. Go past the Center, then turn right at the stop sign across from the Metro stop. The garage is your first right. Payment is mobile using the ParkMobile app. INHERENT RISK AND LIABILITY: Organizers carefully plan events and check public sources for weather and safety. Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated, but not required. I just got mine. I don't want to get any of my friends sick! I will, however, be screening for a standard set of COVID symptoms. If you are showing any symptoms that could make people nervous, please postpone coming to the meetup till you're over it. While sneezing is not a COVID symptom, I think folks would rather not risk getting even a cold right now, so again please don't show up if this is the case, even if you're sure it is just an allergy. On the other hand, no masks are required, although feel free if it'd make you more comfortable. General day of games! Whatever folks feel like playing. Bring your own or learn a new one! If you want to play a longer game, you might want to propose it on the meetup discussion to judge interest. I'll have snacks and soda on hand. Additional snacks or soda welcome. We usually order out for dinner and then continue on till 10pm. The games we usually play tend towards those requiring more thinking than typical family or party games and they are usually in the 2-4 hour range. Photos from past meet ups can give you a sense of them. We do sometimes play lighter games though.

DMV adult Lego enthusiast club meeting. I welcome and encourage you to bring any lego you might be working on, but if you dont have, Ive got a big bin of bricks that I bring for people.
