With creatures and cunning, you'll rule a fantastic forest kingdom in the ultimate asymmetric board game of adventure and war.

Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated, but not required. I just got mine. I don't want to get any of my friends sick! I will, however, be screening for a standard set of COVID symptoms. If you are showing any symptoms that could make people nervous, please postpone coming to the meetup till you're over it. While sneezing is not a COVID symptom, I think folks would rather not risk getting even a cold right now, so again please don't show up if this is the case, even if you're sure it is just an allergy. On the other hand, no masks are required, although feel free if it'd make you more comfortable. General day of games! Whatever folks feel like playing. Bring your own or learn a new one! If you want to play a longer game, you might want to propose it on the meetup discussion to judge interest. I'll have snacks and soda on hand. Additional snacks or soda welcome. We usually order out for dinner and then continue on till 10pm. The games we usually play tend towards those requiring more thinking than typical family or party games and they are usually in the 2-4 hour range. Photos from past meet ups can give you a sense of them. We do sometimes play lighter games though.

We play a variety of high interaction games with a focus on Euros. Events will start with quick games while people arrive and eat lunch. We will start longer games around 2pm. If you are taking the Red Line, Farragut North is an approximately a 15 minute walk away. There is also free street parking to the north.

With the precious new additionn to the family if you are sick or think you may have been exposed to covid, flu, or another illness please stay home. This group is not for people who like games like monopoly. It is for experienced Euro style board gamers only. We play games like Terraforming Mars, Ark Nova, Obsession, Tapestry, Eclipse, Spirit Island and more with the average game around 2-4 hrs. This event is held at someone’s house in Alexandria. There is also 2 friendly dogs in the house. Below are some important logistical details.
Arrive on time- will typically wait about 15 minutes for people to arrive and begin playing. If you come much later than that games will be in progress and there is a high probability you won't be able to play a game. Light snacks and water or sodas will be available but feel free to bring something to share. Looking forward to meeting more gamers and playing some great games with you.

Join us at Easton Town Center for a casual evening of board gaming. Play from our library or bring one of your favorites to share. We usually bring along Catan, Ticket to Ride, Cascadia, etc... We'll be set up at the Donatos Pizza Party Room. It was free for us to reserve, but you may want to buy a drink or go in on a pizza. Why Easton? Although there aren't any board game stores / cafes here, it's a nice area. More importantly, this event coincides with LifeTime Fitness Parent's Night Out, so our kid will get babysat. If you happen to be a member of Lifetime you too can get free babysitting and play some games.
