This is a regular Bring-Your-Own-Book session, where participants share and present to the group non-fiction books they have read. New members are welcome to attend to listen to and discuss the presentations of others. Usually a meeting takes around 2.5-3 hours. During this time we discuss 2 different books, roughly 1 hour per book. Any non-fiction material: a book, documentary, or lecture or a part of it - anything with a title and an author and that contains some coherent ideas. Each presentation includes a summary of a book (15-40 min) and discussion (accordingly). The meeting will be either in a park or in a coffee shop, on HK side. The exact place to be confirmed with the attendees **by WhatsApp only**. I will / have sent the link to the WhatsApp group, please use the link. Introvert friendly. We have people from different countries, so while books can be in any language, the language of the meeting is English. There is a fee of 20 HKD for the first timers to help funding the Meetup membership needed to run the group. Do not hit "Attend" if you are not going to attend. If you RSVPed, but there is anything preventing you from going to the meeting, remember to tell the host as soon as possible and/or update the RSVP - before the RSVP is closed, to give other people a chance to take your spot. Hong Kong Sacred Spaces is marching down our "best of" list of places to visit with a classic. The Tin Hau Temple in Stanley is a fan favorite, given how picturesque Stanley village is. There are quite a few temples in the area, as the village (known as [Chek Chyúh - 赤柱](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley,_Hong_Kong) in Cantonese) goes back to the late 17th century. The Tin Hau is the most impressive, founded in 1767 by the notorious naval commander and pirate [Cheung Po Tsai](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheung_Po_Tsai) \- 張保仔\. The temple also houses the pelt of one of the last tigers killed in Hong Kong in 1942. Check out the Hong Kong Antiquities Advisory Board's recommendation of the temple [here.](https://drive.google.com/file/d/12e-srG2bdbA-XC0CRfNMxeJTYBhrwE73/view?usp=sharing) We'll meet at the Admiralty station and catch the Citybus 260 to Stanley Plaza.
