**Welcome to UK Mafia!** **🕵️‍♂️ What is Mafia?** Play the game that 'Traitors' is based upon! Mafia is a 10-player social game, competitive, easy to learn, and played at multiple tables. Each player gets a secret role and works with their team to win. Games last about 45 minutes, so we play many during the day. The **Mafia team** tries to hide and eliminate the **Citizens**, while the **Citizens** try to find the Mafia through deduction and logic. We always have first-time players and explain everything. No experience needed. While this is a beginner-friendly game, we also host tournaments and online events with players from around the world. Every Sunday we host a weekly D&D Night, it's a West Marches style game, so you can drop in without having played before. If you've played D&D for decades or never touched dice, you're welcome to come and play. The game is at 6:30 pm on Sunday. To book, please follow this link and book a ticket on our website for the 'pub game', it's £4 a ticket. If you want to make a character ahead of time you're welcome to but don't worry if not as we can guide you through character creation.

This event is hosted by the Corbett Gamers of Catford. The last one before a short break for summer. We welcome players of all ages, all backgrounds and all abilities. You need know nothing at all except perhaps your own name. And where to go. And what time it is. And probably how to get home afterwards. (Lifts to and from Hither Green station are often available.) If you're worried about losing, fear not as there are plenty of co-operative and otherwise non-competitive games. Things to bring: 1. Yourself (required) 2. Drinks or snacks (optional)\* 3. 1-3 games (optional) 4. Your mobile banking app to make a donation to the community centre for use of the space if you are able (optional)\*\* If you will be arriving late, make sure somebody knows you're coming, both so we have a table playing shorter / filler games until you arrive, and because we usually lock the gate around 8:30. \* The café is not staffed in the evening, but there is an honesty box for us with crisps, popcorn, soft drinks, tea, beer, wine etc. \*\* Suggested donation is £5 \~ £10 dependent on your situation, but it is not required. You must be **18+** to attend. Please find **Zander**, the Organiser, on your arrival. You'll then be assigned to a game. TIMES Please ensure you arrive **before 1.00pm**. If you arrive late, it may not be possible to find you a game. If you're part of a group of two or more, you all have to be 18+, RSVP for yourselves (no 'plus ones') and arrive between 12.30pm and 12.40pm on the day, not 1.00pm. If you arrive at 1.00pm, you'll still be able to play, but may be placed in different games. DO I NEED TO KNOW THE RULES OF D&D? DO I HAVE TO BRING OR PREPARE ANYTHING? **You don't have to have any knowledge of D&D's rules or have previous experience of D&D or another tabletop role-playing game.** You don't have to bring or prepare anything. We can lend you everything you need including a pre-generated character. If you want to bring or create your own character, please arrive at 12.40pm and discuss your character with your assigned DM. Please respect their decision in the unlikely event that they say you have to use a pre-generated character. They may have story or rules reasons they can't disclose. DUNGEON MASTERING We're always on the look-out for DMs. If you'd like to DM, please PM Zander in the Organiser list ASAP. VENUES AND MONEY MATTERS There's no charge, membership fee or subscription so that no one is excluded because they can't afford to. However, a collection tin may be circulated by the Organiser/Assistant Organiser/Host towards the running of the Meetup for everyone who isn't very hard up. **There's a recommended donation of £2 cash per attendee (DM or player)**. To maintain impartiality, we don't track or record who donates what (and for that reason, only cash is accepted; donations by Paypal, card, e-payment etc aren't accepted). The venues are businesses and, as such, rely on us spending on food and drink while we are there. Our continued use of the venues is dependent upon it. Please spend as much as you reasonably can; if you're thinking of having lunch at your venue, please do. The venues have vegetarian and vegan options. All within a single game night. We play story games like Fiasco, Kingdom, Polaris and Microscope that encourage everyone at the table to participate creatively. We also have one-shots of indie, OSR, and narrative-focused RPGs such as Apocalypse World, Dread, Lady Blackbird, and Old School Essentials! Everybody's welcome! It doesn't matter if you've never tried story games before or never played roleplaying games at all! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. 
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. 
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. 
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. 
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… 
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… 
IMPORTANT: 
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
