Russian Moms

This is our 3rd Sunday of the month meetup at Restaurant Rus Uz in Arlington. Russian speakers can gather for Russian and Uzbek food, friendship, and conversation two Sundays every month--the first and third. Please join us and bring your Russian speaking friends. Everyone is welcome, but please keep conversation in Russian only, no English. For many of us, this is our only chance to practice our Russian PLEASE RSVP if you are coming - we have to make a reservation. Please do not RSVP and then not come. Ben Mauger's Vintage Jazz Band brings hot swing to the DC area - come on out and don't forget your dancing shoes! The PRJC welcomes back a club favorite - trumpet and cornet virtuoso Ben Mauger, who has been pleasing audiences performing throughout the East Coast for over 25 years. His Pennsylvania based Vintage Jazz Band brings a program featuring a mix of classics from Louis Armstrong, Bix Biederbecke and hot trad jazz swing. Known for their energetic take on hot-jazz, Dixieland, and swing-from roaring '20s dance numbers to classic "Saints"-style tunes-this band delivers toe-tapping music and vibrant nostalgia. It'll be an afternoon of bright horns, swinging rhythms, and plenty of party-ready energy-and though Mother's Day will have passed, it's still a perfect way to celebrate our beloved Moms. This year. Ben is bringing an All-Star lineup for the concert - get ready for some musical surprises that we're sure you will all enjoy. There will also be a special treat for Mother's Day attendees! Each month we will gather in community for mindfulness meditation and activities. There will be time for collective family practice as well as time for parents and children to break-out into groups and engage with peers. Rooms will be right next door to each other. We request that children under the age of 5 stay with caregivers.
