London Indoor Bouldering Evening
Join OutdoorLads popular weekly Thursday Bouldering evening at The Arch in Bermondsey.
OutdoorLads London boulderers welcome all members of the LGBTQ+ community You'll be meeting with a supportive group of 5 to 10 plus boulderers who are always happy to introduce complete beginners or solve difficult bouldering problems with enthusiasts. We usually follow up with a pub visit.
This event is for members of all levels of experience and all are welcome to come along to any of the sessions.
Bouldering is a form of climbing where instead of long high routes, the 'problems', as they are referred to, tend to be shorter and focus on technique, balance, body positioning and sometimes power. Because of this different emphasis, bouldering doesn't have the hassle of climbing with ropes, harnesses and belaying, which makes the activities excellent for newcomers to the sport.
If you're a seasoned climber you won't need convincing about the benefits of bouldering, but for those who've never climbed more than a staircase, the benefits are wide ranging: from the physical - improved strength, tone, balance, power and coordination; mental - problem solving, focus, concentration and body awareness; to the emotional - relaxation, a sense of achievement and a feeling that mind and body are working together perfectly ('feeling psyched'). On top of all this, bouldering tends to be a very social sport where you can hang out with mates and each have a go as you feel regardless of what level you climb at.
Singles Cocktail Chemistry Masterclass | Ages 25 to 38
BOOK YOUR TICKET 👉🏼 [HERE](https://itsadate.club/event/cocktail-chemistry-masterclass-5/).
Calling all cocktail enthusiasts! Shake up your dating game with 24 high-spirited singles at this unique mixology masterclass, led by the cocktail magicians at The Alchemist.
Learn step-by-step how to create one of The Alchemist’s classic cocktails in a lively, interactive session — with the occasional surprise along the way! Whether you’re a little *Old Fashioned* or more *Cosmopolitan*, you’re sure to find something (and possibly someone) that stirs your senses. So, don’t be a Moscow Mule — come along and enjoy the best fun you’ve had mixing and mingling in a Long (Island Iced Tea) time.
Arrive at 19:30 to be welcomed by your host, who will direct you to the private event area, provide a name sticker, and give you a quick low-down on how the evening will run.
During the masterclass, you’ll be split into mixed groups designed to break (or crush?) the ice, spark conversation, and discover shared passions — perhaps a love of the perfect *Fruit Martini*! Between sessions, mingle with other guests or relax and discuss the art of the perfect *Negroni* with a newfound connection.
The cocktail you create is yours to enjoy, and additional drinks are available to purchase from the bar. Your host — affectionately dubbed ‘pretty fly for a Mai Tai’ — will be on-hand throughout to keep the cocktails and good times flowing. After the class, a resident DJ will take over for anyone in the party mood.
Following the event, post-event matching will be available via your It’s a Date dashboard, so you can continue the conversation or schedule a second date at your own pace.
If you have any questions on the event or how things will work, please get in contact with Ollie on 07517 065 492 or ollie@itsadate.club
Thursday 5km run followed by pub drinks
Please join us for our weekly run and social - a great (free!) way to meet new people!
We meet at 7pm outside The Horatia ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/p1QnyurFQh3gywov6) and head for the run together from there. You can leave a small bag or extra layer at the pub at your own risk.
The winter route is around Highbury Fields and in the summer we do a loop to Clissold Park, both ending at the starting point- the Horatia pub.
We run 5km at an easy pace (about 6-7 mins per km), with some people going faster and some slower.
After the run, we will head to the Horatia pub for some drinks (alcoholic and soft are fine- no judgment!).
Ultimate Frisbee in *HAGGERSTON Park* on Thursday evenings
Ultimate Frisbee Pickup! All experience welcome!
Main details:
• For first-timers: you're very welcome, no experience necessary, we can teach you the rules and how to play. You just need a willingness to run around a LOT! Bring trainers (or cleats/football boots) and clothes you can run in and plenty of water
• Please try to bring both a light top and a dark top as this makes splitting into balanced teams easier
• Throwing from 6:00pm, we'll kick off a friendly pick-up game as soon as we get numbers. It's fine if you can only make it later on - we play with substitutes so you can join in at any point. If no one is there when you arrive, don't worry, people are probably just late! If the meetup is not cancelled, frisbee will be happening!
• Afterwards we always head to a pub garden and have a drink or two :)
• Frisbee is a non-contact sport, but the occasional bumps can happen, we're all playing at our own risk

I have a table reserved on deck (usually this is the first table on your right as you walk down the ramp onto the boat , but if you can't find me please ask a member of staff .) .
This will be our base whilst we are chatting , having a drink , dancing on deck , til 11pm , then we move down to the clubroom , where I have reserved another table for us .

You are also free to use the bar/ward room below deck . This is a nice cosy refuge if it's chilly on deck and the windows provide an amazing view of all the coloured lights which illuminate the famous icons on the opposite side of the river (London Eye , City Hall , Southbank Centre , etc).
PLEASE NOTE that this event begins at 8 pm - **arrive before** **9 pm to avoid paying an entrance fee directly to the venue** , as well as to me .
THE BOAT MAY START CHARGING AFTER 9 PM .
I look forward to welcoming you on the night !

NEW HIKE The 3 castles walk, a splash of green in the English countryside.
Hey, hey, hey! Spring is here and what do we do in the Spring? We walk in the great British countryside that will be filled with colours, poesy and scents. A romantic glow will surround us along the path through various historical buildings and glorious forests.
The hike will take you through magical woodlands and countryside and no less than 3 castles!
What else can we do but walk through haunted woods and castle grounds.
You will hike from Leigh to Hever, through the medieval village of Penshurst, some pretty woodlands, you will walk past Penshurts castle and Chiddinstone castle and will end the trip with a visit of the world famous Hever Castle, former home of Anne Boleyn, if you fancy who still haunt the royal residence... creepy...
The castle dates back to the 14th century, and was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII and Mother of Elizabeth I. It formed the unlikely backdrop to a sequence of tumultuous events that changed the course of Britain’s history, monarchy and religion. Yes, Hever Castle is widely reported as being haunted, most notably by the ghost of Anne Boleyn, who is said to walk the grounds, particularly on Christmas Eve, over the bridge on the river Eden, and manifest in the castle. However, there are also reports of other entities, such as a menacing figure in the bedrooms, a mischievous poltergeist, and other unexplained phenomena like feelings of a presence and strange odors.
The castle is a wonder of architecture and history with its own little medieval village.
You will be given the opportunity to visit the castle and its gardens (entry is £25), or to be taken back to the station if you prefer. This is a jewel not to be missed! Attention, if you decide to visit, you will make your own way back to the station.
Afterwards, as always, we can pop into a pub or a restaurant for a cheeky drink or a nice meal or simply head back to good old London.
