**NOTE: most of the regulars no longer RSVP to the Meetup. You'll usually find at least a half dozen of us playing chess, regardless of how many attendees are listed. Come on by!** The Fairfax Chess Club meets on Monday nights at Mackenzies', a restaurant in downtown Fairfax City. People start showing up around 6pm and stay until whenever. All ages and chess levels are welcome. The address: 3950 University Dr STE 210, Fairfax, VA 22030 There is free parking available in a free garage behind the restaurant. There are 3 or 4 chess boards available for general use at the restaurant, but bring your own if you have one. Tally Ho Toastmasters meets regularly on the 1st and 3rd Monday each month. Our friendly club offers great opportunities to improve communication and leadership skills while providing excellent evaluations by the members. Ladies’ Knight is a welcoming **bi-weekly women’s chess social and community** designed for **beginners through advanced players**. This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
