Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games.
Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it.
We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different.
Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before.
Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part!
Who knew getting fit could be this fun?
**TO BOOK**:
It's essential that you book onto sessions via our website, using the link below; due to restrictions on games and preparation times we cannot accept walk-ins, or late arrivals.

May 30 Just Play Mahjong Club (Chinese, American Styles &Japanese Riichi)
### š
EVENT DETAILS
š **Where:** Aldgate Tower (just outside Aldgate East Station, Exit 1)
š **Who:** Players who already know how to play with scores (not suitable for beginners)
ā **Included:** Instructor help, free tea, coffee, and unbeatable vibes
## š WANT TO PLAY MAHJONG REGULARLY?
Mahjong is still a niche board game in London ā and since it needs **4 players**, it can be hard to organise regular games with just your own friends or family.
In many parts of Asia, **Mahjong parlours** bring people together to play. While weāre **not** running a commercial Mahjong club, we *are* here to build a **community**.
Many of our players started as complete beginners in our workshops ā and now theyāre **hooked**! Thatās why we created our **šļø Just Play tickets**.
### š DIFFERENT MAHJONG STYLES WELCOME
### šš° Hong Kong Style (Main Style)
Our main style is **Hong Kong Mahjong**, with a **3 fan minimum to win**.If you know how to play other Chinese styles like **Taiwanese**, **Sichuan**, or **British Mahjong**, youāre still welcome! Weāll provide **scoring cards** to help you adapt.
ā ļø However, these tables are **not suitable for beginners**. If you havenāt yet graduated from Level 1 or Level 2 of our workshops, or if you donāt know how to score, please join our learner workshops first to build confidence.
### šÆšµ Japanese Riichi (Growing Community)
Riichi Mahjong is **new to our community**, but we love its fast pace and strategic complexity! If you already know how to play Riichi ā \*\*amazing! Please join us.\*\*If you play Chinese Mahjong and want to try Riichi, one of our instructors or friendly regulars might help, but we **canāt guarantee full teaching support yet**. You're welcome to learn by playing alongside others.
### šŗšø American Mahjong (New Community in 2026)
Weāre excited to add **American Mahjong** to our offerings. Itās quite different from Chinese Mahjong, so weāll run newbie workshops and regular Just Play sessions from 2026. **Note**: Just Play bookings require solid prior knowledge of American rules. However, we encourage crossāstyle learning, so if you already know one style of Mahjong, learn another with us, so you can play at any table.
## š· OUR BEST PRICE PROMISE
Weāre doing our best to keep **Just Play tickets affordable** for a 2-hour session ā thatās our **best price promise**. š
Unlike clubs that charge entry or venues that require a minimum spend, our ticket price covers only whatās needed: venue, staff, admin cost.
And yes ā with a booked ticket, **YOU ARE GUARNATEED A SEAT AT THE TABLE**, and we also provide **free tea, coffee**, and the occasional **festive treat**. āšŖ
We're not a charity, but we are **deeply committed** to creating a welcoming Mahjong community. š Your support helps us keep the tiles clicking, and we love seeing familiar faces return week after week!
## š± JOIN OUR MAHJONG WHATSAPP COMMUNITY
Stay connected with fellow players in our friendly WhatsApp group ā a space to ask questions, get updates on upcoming events, and even arrange private games outside of our Saturday sessions. It's the easiest way to stay in the loop and grow your Mahjong circle!

**Important Notes**
1. Each attendee must be registered to our building in addition to the meetup ticketing. If you book two tickets, we will need both individualsā full names and email addresses for registration.
2. On **the same week**, you will receive an email from "Aldgate Tower" with your **building entry invitation**. This email includes a **unique visitor QR code**, which youāll need to scan at the ground floor speed gates. Then, head straight up to the **6th floor**, where weāll be ready to welcome you.
3. Please check your **spam or junk folder** if you donāt see the email. Still nothing? Send us a message / whatsapp us on +44 7423 755734 , and weāll assist you promptly.

Backgammon Social Drinks n Dinner, CSC - Scotland Yard, Sun 31 May, 3pm
Venue: Civil Service Club
Date/Time: Sunday 31 May 3-8pm and possibly beyond!
First timers - please kindly read below about bringing your board, meetup fee, purchasing drinks and food, etiquette etc
Please RSVP - CSC requires names of guests
Intro
Dear Backgammon Lovers,
We had a decent turnout on Sunday with 14 backgammoners showing up at Waterloo Station.
We'll be returning next to the Civil Service Club that is moments from Trafalgar Square.
Social & Fun Backgammon at the CSC
Whether you're a seasoned backgammoner or a newbie looking to learn this fabulous game that is thousands of years old, our social event is open to all.
This is the perfect opportunity to sharpen your game, and share a laugh (or a lucky double six!) over backgammon. Add in a drink, maybe dinner, and youāve got the recipe for a fun and relaxed evening.
Venue Food and Drink
Just a little reminder that when we use the Civil Service Club, weāre asked to buy at least one drink whilst weāre there, and hopefully food too.
The Club has a nice range of food and snacks on offer, all at good prices, so itās a great chance to relax and make the most of the day.
About our backgammon social group
Our group has been running for nearly 11 years since June 2015 and we have held nearly 500 official backgammon meetings - along with a further 300 off-grid (non meetups) since then.
We are the largest backgammon group in the UK with nearly 2,500 backgammoners as members.
What makes our group special are its members and the warmth, humour and friendliness whilst playing this splendid social game over a few drinks... usually fortnightly, and on a Sunday.
We have about 30-odd regular members who play socially and we very much welcome new players too - so do come along.
Dinner Time and Drinks and Food
In between the rounds of backgammon many of us sit for a meal around 6pm, but you can order drinks and food whenever you like.
RSVP
Please RSVP asap - Often I need to provide the Club with an indication of numbers.
Bring your own Backgammon Board - no problem if initially you don't have one.
Love seeing the different styles and size of boards - my boards have somehow gotten larger over the years. Please bring your own backgammon board and should you not have one please let us know in advance via the Meetup message board so that others can make the effort to bring theirs.
Meetup Fee
I will ask for £4 as the meetup fees etc have increased substantially over the past year or two. This also assists paying other admin costs including Club membership and tips.
Other Games
We sometimes play other games in the evening such as Rummikub, Yahtzee, and a type of Gin Rummy... so ask and watch this space!
Etiquette
Just a quick reminder- itās always nice to say thank you to the staff at the CSC when you can.
Letās also keep things warm and friendly with each other and enjoy this splendid game.
If anything comes up, please feel free to have a word with me or whoever is hosting on my behalf
Backgammon Rules
With one or two exceptions our group plays international backgammon tournament rules. I have outlined these rules on our meetup page.
My Contact
Should you get lost or need to get in touch my number is: 07956 263451. Would advise you not to post messages two hours before the meetup commences as there's often chance I will not see it.
Best wishes and have lots of fun on Sunday!
