This session interrogates the functional transition of ethical theory from academic discourse to industrial application. By examining the nuances of "on-the-ground" ethics, we will explore the pedagogical and structural methodologies required to move industry stakeholders beyond mere conceptual acknowledgement toward robust ethical activation. We will note the fiction between theoretical normative frameworks and the pragmatic constraints of the private sector. Ultimately, this discussion aims to identify how applied ethics can be effectively institutionalized within modern industry. Description: Before the event the organizer will post a list in the comment section of the attendees and what they are responsible to bring (food/drink, kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies). We normally ask each attending member to bring approximately $15-20 worth of ingredients/supplies to our event. We will use the items to prepare and serve food/drink at The Meeting Place.
Timeline: We will meet on location at 11:00 am, with lunch served between 12:30-1:00 pm.
Membership Dues: Membership dues are $2.00 for the calendar year. Membership dues go towards paying for food/supplies incurred by no-shows. Membership dues are due at the first meetup of the year that you attend.

The Board Games event is a fun, sociable and charitable event We are a fun, friendly and kind group of people mostly in our 20s, 30s and 40s. Beginners are welcome! We are a very inclusive and social group and we teach people how to play games they have not played before :) We provide a variety of 40+ board games. The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Sometimes the best way to meet new people is simple **get out of the house and do something in real life.** With spring weather still unpredictable, we’re keeping this one simple **we’ll be walking indoors at Polaris.** **Most people who attend come alone — this is a casual social walk designed to meet new people.** No awkward networking. No pressure. Just walking, talking, and good company. We’re heading back to Scene75 on Friday, March 27 for a high-energy night of laser tag, mini golf, go-karts, arcade games, and whatever chaos we decide to get into. We’ve done this one before and it was a blast — great turnout, tons of laughs, and just the right mix of competition and hanging out.
